    Good to see some successful prints

    The day you showed a successful print is the day my complete pre-order email arrived. I shall have a 5 toolhead this spring.

    If you had loaded the 3mf provided by the author on Printables, it comes pre-colored. Also, even though the author used multicolor painting, it's a multi-body STL that can have colors easily assigned to each part. Any time you load a model into PrusaSlicer that you want to color, look to see if the big "P" in the tool bad is white. If so, click it and see what happens. Sometimes, all the hard work is already done. Sometimes you have to paint it anyway, but it's always worth checking and could save tons of time and aggravation.

      Yes I see it's available now on printables. Thanks so much!

    On the XL I believe you can use a different material (eg PETG for a PLA print) for the hat support that doesn't adhere to the print.
    Thanks for the videos.

      Yep! Tried it last night and works like a dream. Trying soluble supports as we speak.

    Have you looked at the option of printing the outside of the tower in one set material, for larger prints that would help with the tower breaking.

    The bambu print looks like the slicer setting "flush into objects' infill" is turned on. The setting is located under the "Others" tab. That could be a simple explanation for seeing the black through the white at the eye level. Not sure if that box is checked on for you.

      Ok I'll check it. Thanks so much!

    Glad to see a good print. Def gonna try it one day. And i can say this because i finally could (and done) order the upgrade from my 1 toolhead to the 5 toolhead option. Now i have to wait for shipment and delivery time.

    That turned out very nice, even with the 0.6 nozzles. I'd call it a success. The 'glitch' with the hat can probably be fixed.

    • @tada3dprinting
      @tada3dprinting  11 месяцев назад

      Yeah that's probably just a support thing. Thanks!

    regarding the grams of waste in prusa slicer, it shows the cost of print, object and waste, which is the information you are interested in. you could even set the material cost to $1/g and it would show you the actual grams. but i guess the interesting part is the percentage anyways. great content, good to see some success with the XL.

    • @tada3dprinting
      @tada3dprinting  11 месяцев назад

      Oh that's a good idea for a work around. And really the waste isn't a huge issue on the XL compared to the Bambu. But I'd like to be able to see it easily. Thanks!

    Looks great. Paint on supports are my best friend. Just wondering if you received the service bulletin for the XL to lubricate the pins for the tool heads. I you have not, maybe shoot PRUSA an email to see what changes or service bulletins have been put out since you received your printer. Love your channel and seeing your Wins with 3D printing.

    Great video. Can this print be able to print carbon fiber?

    • @tada3dprinting
      @tada3dprinting  5 месяцев назад

      Yes the printer can print carbon fiber. But you may have to change nozzles more often. Thanks!

    Hi everyone. Finally I have the opportunity to buy an XL with one tool head, but I am seeing the results from TADA with her recent failed prints. Really disappointing to see them fail. Is the XL still worth it ? I’m perplexed now. And I love the prusa, plus need a bigger printer.

      @terranceroberts6259 I am running my XL 5T for over a month now, pretty much 24/7 without any issues (only an occasional adhesion problem with pla on the satin sheet, I have ordered the smooth sheet). Most of my prints are full build plate with 3-5 colors. Every print is fast, stunning quality and with only marginal waste. It truly is an awesome machine. The issues shown here are not indicative for the XL and, in part, seem to be operator error (like the missing support under the hat).
      No worries at all, you will love yours!

      @@cees9314 is absolutely right. Its a great machine. You can burn hundreds of kg on this one and produce a lot of quality parts and minimal to no waste

      @@LimpiezasMyG thank you so much for your input. It’s good to get feedback. TADA is great and seems independent of “persuasion “ from companies. So I like her channel. I will bite the bullet. Thanks again.

    The bottom of the brim needs supports.

  • @SteveKompel
    @SteveKompel 11 месяцев назад

    I would adjust the brim of the hat to have a smaller layer height.
