I can't stand listening to meyer discuss burrow in any capacity. A guy that recruited a QB with a torn ACL as a HS senior thinks a redshirt year isn't enough to put weight & arm strength on a guy.
Urban Meyer is not the coach to talk to about QB passing stats... Foot work and accuracy are #1 and #2 on the list of QB development. If the O-line is worth half it's weight in salt, a quick release is not needed. 3 step drop, 5 step drop, 7 step drop, dictates the release of the ball. The QB should step into the throw, so arm strength is 3rd on the list
Why can't he talk about it? Every coach recruits players for their system. If those are important for his system then so be it. I am willing to bet that every coach has their top skill sets that they require in a qb and not every coach will be the same.
Exactly. He clearly has a bias towards athletes playing QB vs Skilled cerebral passers. Top 3 QB’s of all time are not the greatest athletes. But they are mentally on another plane.

@@ShantyIrishman correct that is urbans theory !! He is not worrying about the next level or he would teach these kids to stay in the pocket and learn pccket awareness that running qb only works till player gets hurt or he is fastest guy on the field like Lamar !!
@Jim Harbaugh
How the fuck did the Dallas Cowboys pass up on him 🙄🤦🏽♂️😑
this cat is back on tv like nothing ever happened...must be nice...carry on...
I can't stand listening to meyer discuss burrow in any capacity. A guy that recruited a QB with a torn ACL as a HS senior thinks a redshirt year isn't enough to put weight & arm strength on a guy.
What quarterback has he had developed in to a good pro
Ever hear of Alex Smith, whom he actually mentioned? He also had Cam Newton for a couple of years.
None, his qb's already had God given talent
I hope Dallas interviews this guy.
Urban Bridgeburner
Pat McAfee > Urban Meyer
God knows Harbaugh can’t develop one.
Jim
Meyer for redskins coach 2020
Lol.. don't worry LSU will develop him
JJ Standing OSU developed him for 4 years u meatball
@@sam-cs7ne Nope => Meyer SQUANDERED his talent/skill set for 3 years.
Burrow was just ok last year nothing special. But Joe Brady's scheme has made him look incredible
@@bsallen1212 Your first statement was a LIE ! Your second one was THE TRUTH ! Joe was SPECIAL way back in High School. As a transfer to an unranked LSU team (last year) => he beat 4 Top Ten Teams and moved his team all the way up to a final ranking of No 7.....and he did all that with a less than optimal offense.
I get that you see the OBVIOUS this year. But like most others, you're blind w/o someone leading you to your opinion. SAD. Get Woke / Stay Woke ! Refuse the Kool-Aid and $H!+ $ANDW!CHE$ they keep handing you to eat. You'll be much better off......but.....it' still your decision. Why not make the most of it ?
@buckeyesfan2222 Jimbo developed Jamarcus to the #1 pick. What happened after that is on him.
lose that bodyfat urban, you bitch about your health but dont do anything about it and take it in your own hands to make a change.
No soccer though
was hoping him to be the next DC head cowboys, SAD
Urban is a good coach but this is a lie. Tim Tebow regressed under Urban. His technique got worse. There was a picture that showed his technique every year at UF and it was worse each year.
That’s because Tebow was trash as a qb. He was more fullback that could throw some. Barley imo. But his run threat is what got the other team.
@@jrs351 his technique doesnt get worse because hes trash.. that's a coaching issue
Dude won a NFL playoff game with Denver...
@@foxbodyblues6709 we know
@@foxbodyblues6709 Vs Pitts threw (wait for it), Tebow 3:16 yards that night.
Plz come coach Dallas 😂
Jerry jones.......can we have urban meyer lol
And Urban thought JT Barrett was better 🤦♂️
omieg89 u know there is mental part of football as well stoop lol burrow didn’t have it then
Wolf Rage you miss the point completely. Barrett never was elite. Burrow and Haskins are elite. Meyer consistently picked the wrong QB, and got them hurt frequently (from overuse in the run game) to boot.
For Urbs offense, JT was better, he likes a QB that can run and hit intermediate throws.
But all Meyer's QBs end up being shit in the NFL
yea like developed joe burrow??? geaux tigers!
"Urban Meyer on how to develop quarterbacks" - How many Ohio State QBs are currently successful in the NFL that also played under Meyer? ... the only one is Haskins and it's too early to tell if he will be successful or a failure.
