Thought I would give people some hope by sharing my story. I’m 28, my amh was 0.22 when I tested it, fsh 14, I have endo that I had a surgery for to remove a chocolate cyst. And we conceived naturally in 4 months! :) low definitely does not mean no ladies, she’s right! and it also doesn’t mean ivf!

:) It's true! There's still a chance as long as your tubes are open and sperm is good to get pregnant if you're ovulating. Of course, your age matters but there's nothing wrong with still hoping for a pregnancy if your doctor thinks there's a chance.
This was beyond refreshing! I am 44 and wanting to grow my family again and my gyn swears that at .55 AMH i will not get pregnant on my own even though my FSH was 7 and estrogen numbers were even still good. Im reversing my tubal ligation and leaving it in Gods hands, personally i dont think I will have any problems. But im ready for whatever outcome.
Oh am also 44 but very 0,001 AMH LH 6,6 and FSH 6.25 I don’t know wich is good to do . My Dr. said maybe Ovulation induction. I habe 4x miscarriage the last was march 28. 2023 so two months no break than in may start to be pregnant but didn’t work. Dr. You are such a positive person. Your words are true and always heard your words low amh means not no... My amh was 0.4 ad age 30. I suffered a lot. had one miscarriage, 3 lost iui, but got concieved naturally ad nw im wit my baby Thk god. So Others pls dont lose hope, stay away from negatives and always be positive. Ladies, get an ultra sound if you have a hard time conceiving! I found out after 10 years of infertility that I had 3 polyps in my uterus that had to be surgically removed. I had no idea.... After that, my periods got less painful and my pregnancy chances got higher. Also check your Fallopian tubes for clarity. I unfortunately had no idea about any of this until my late 30’s.
@@AnnikaBergmannArt they didn’t because I had them checked a few years prior to the surgery without any anesthesia and it was beyond painful. If I had the option to do it during surgery or under separate anesthesia, I would definitely recommend going that route.
I was told mine is.003. Amh i think anyone have this low. I am 51 and want a baby with the love of my life. I am going through menopause. I juat want to cry!! I guess it really is up to God at this point.
Hi Dr. Aimee, my AMH is 0.5 but my antra follicle count each month is 11-12. Is the AMH wrong? I do not have endometriosis, and I have normal vitamin D level.
So this is an older thread but I'm going to take a chance. I'm 42. Amh 0.5, fsh 12, but my vitamin D is low. I had eight follicles on the ultrasound and I feel great, I'm in great physical shape. My question is: if I wanted to maximize my chances of successful embryonic freezing what would be the single best method? In other words, if I'm putting all of my eggs in one basket no pun intended what procedure would be the best option. I don't want to have to do multiple rounds of IVF. Quite frankly, I think that would be emotionally draining and it's very expensive. My instinct is to try to go about this is naturally as possible whether that be natural IVF or mini IVF. I do not think my body would appreciate being overly stimulated. I know I'm 42 and if anyone is reading this please do not wait to freeze your eggs. I've spent my entire life dedicated to my education and career and I'm very successful, but I have run up against the clock and it is a terrifying feeling. Anyway, doctor let me know your thoughts! Thank you for this video. We are 1 year into TTC baby 2. I am about to turn 35 and my AMH is .19. We saw about 6 or so eggs in my follicle scan this week. I am 18m PP and weaned a few weeks ago but have had normal cycles for the last 12 months. I have continued my prenatal, cq10, vitamin d, methylfolate, reversatrol, fish oil, folic acid and iron. I am a walking supplement! Anyway, my OBGYN is going to try 2 rounds of clomid and an IUI. Then I am being referred to an REI. Fingers crossed for another healthy pregnancy. Hi Dr. Aimee! I was originally being tested for suspected PCOS - and as a part of that testing my gynecologist checked my AMH level. I am 25 years old. My vitamin D levels were slightly low (~24.8) when checked in February and I have mild hypothyroidism (I take a low dose of levo). I was on birth control for ~7 years but came off of it ~3-4 months before getting my AMH tested. My level just came back as 0.018 and I am shocked and now scared about my fertility based on how low that number is. I don't have a family history of early menopause or fertility struggles. I have a pretty normal cycle q28 days I am at a slight loss of where to go from here... I was not even considering my fertility as an issue at my age but now I am worried. My gynecologist told me that below age 35 I should not be stressed about my AMH level and that it does not mean that I will have fertility issues, but research is telling me otherwise. Do you have any thoughts on my situation and what I need to do next? (Adding that my progesterone came back normal, DHEA and testosterone were high so she suspects I have PCOS).
you're right to question what your ObGyn is saying. I would get seen by a fertility doc that will help you freeze eggs / embryos/get pregnant with IVF. If you haven't had an FSH and estradiol drawn, fragile x screen and chromosome analysis do that too.If you were my patient, I would also check: anti-adrenal anti-ovarian and anti-thyroid antibodies. I am a little confused about what AMH actually "measures". When you say it predicts how late or early someone will go into menopause that sounds like it says something about the total number of eggs left. Somewhere else I read that that is actually not the case but that AMH only says something about the number of follicles of that specific cycle. Which of this is really true?
Also, not all laboratories have the same type of testing method. You may have a huge fluctuation from one lab to another. So do not trust lab results that much. Dr Aimee is right about trusting the follicle count more than AMH...
Arabian Aphrodite your hormone levels are normal for a 41 year old. Chances based on age no matter what your levels. It isn’t zero but it’s less than 5 percent. Talk to your doc about creative family building options. And still consider treatment if you have a good follicle count.
I am 34 and just got told mine is at a 0.02! :( I have no clue why because nothing with hormones or thyrhoid was off. She suggested I see fertility specialist and I am very worried.
Anastasia P144 I’m sorry. I want this type of information to be readily available to women in their 20s so that you don’t just find out at 34! Here’s the truth: there’s still a chance of pregnancy if you’re having periods and haven’t stopped having them yet. I would do the following: start coq10 if you haven’t already, make sure your vitamin d is normal and start treatment right away. Being able to get one egg to grow would be awesome. You may not see that but learn as much about your body and learn more. Repeat your amh. Do day 3 fsh estradiol and do genetic testing: fragile x screen and chromosome analysis. I bought an at-home blood test for amh and it says to stop taking vitex for 6 weeks before taking the test. Spoke to a dr today and she refused to test me bc even though I'm 36,she said I have to be unsuccessful for 1 full year
I'm 37 in just a week ...lol...and I had 6 antral follicles showing on day 2 of cycle. They just called and told me that my amh was low at 0.74 When I tested at age 33 I was at 2.7 amh level. Seems like my amh is dropping rather quickly, right?

Thank you for watching and for your supportive comment. My thoughts: take egg quality supplements like coq10. Get your vitamin D up. Talk to a fertility doc about freezing eggs, embryos or both. Secure future options for yourself. Your antral follicle count will be super helpful in guiding you about all your options. The GREAT news is that you are 27 years old. This means you have 27 year old eggs. You do not have the eggs of a 47 year old for example. Talk to your doc about genetic tests like: Chromosome analysis, Fragile X screen as an example of 2 they can consider doing. And keep asking questions! You're on the right path.

lubna janjuah if you aren’t taking coq10 please start it. Do genetic testing like fragile x and chromosome analysis. Talk to your Imam. I have had Muslim patients get the blessing of their Imam and then move forward with egg donation.

Can you tell me what it means to be a 35 year old female with an AFC count of 20 ( seems high for age ) but a low AMH value of 0.91, and what advice you might have for pregnancy? How is it possible to have such a high AFC count but such a low AMH value?
I recommend vitamin E if the lining is thin. And there isn’t a particular brand that I tell patients to take. 600 mg per day seems to help. Talk to your doctor about your particular case to see if you even need this.
Medicated/Monitored IUI is in August. Labs are all normal apparently, but why am I 30 almost 32 years of age and have a AMH at 8.44? Should I be concerned at all? I’ve never been diagnosed with anything, so doctors don’t seem concerned. Should I be?

Chances are it will have to be through egg, embryo donation or adoption. Talk to your doc about their different third party donations. Just know you’re not alone and this happens and it doesn’t mean you won’t be a mother. It means your eggs have run out but not your ability to be a mom. So continue to have hope in your heart. Repeat your levels and talk to a doctor who will guide you with kindness and compassion.
@@crissw2471 There is still a chance but your AMH of close to zero means that there likely aren't any eggs left. The FSH over 40 means the same too. However! I have seen patients that will ovulate even with these levels. There could still be a future ovulation for you. It's just hard to know when / if it will come.

Arrey Agbor Scholar there is hope. Did they use birth control pills first? If so that could be the reason for the lower response. Did they dose you with enough meds? Sometimes not using enough meds could cause this. I think there’s still hope. Repeat your levels to see what you learn. ❤️
Egg Whisperer Show Thanks for replying.Yes,they gave me birth control pills for 3months and I was have little blood flow almost everyday.I even had serious stomach pain untill I was taken to the emergency unit twice but they saw nothing serious and just gave me some antibiotics.I started taking 3 shots of stimulants injections for 5days and then 4shots for 2days but the folicles didn't increase in size.I'm so disappointed and afraid. I would strongly consider: victoza/metformin or a combination. Make sure your vitamin D is normal. Start coq10 and watch your thyroid closely. So proud of your hard work. Keep it up!!! And keep moving! You're doing everything right.

how tall are you? Are you able to try with fertility treatment? My recommendation is to try and see a fertility doctor. Your AMH is a diagnostic test. Yes! You do have eggs and the level doesn’t mean you don’t. It just means that you do now and if you were to do IVF you would get about 8 eggs! Start coq10, do the tushymethod.com tests and see what you can do that is in your control to get pregnant
I've had patients with AMH Levels that low get pregnant. Your age has a lot to do with it. We all get to a point when our AMH is 0.04 it's just a matter of how old you are at the time.
How many mg of coq10 do you recommend. 34yrs old amh 0.08 (3mths ago was 0.04) Vit d was low now its normal started vit d 3months ago. Was on nuva ring for +8yrs. Very shocked at this new diagnosis now when I am ttc. Any advice?
Knowing your age will help me guide you. If you're over 40 a level of 0.01 is age related. If you're under 35 and still having periods, I would start coq10 and DHEA and see an acupuncturist. Make sure your weight is normal and that you're exercising most days of the week and eating healthy so you can maintain a healthy BMI. If your follicle count is >1 then consider taking fertility pills to help you ovulate more than one egg. I hope this helps.

Hi dr I’m 34 my AMH is 1.96 Fsh: 6 Lh: 4 But recently I had a sonohysterogram and they found only one follicle on right side and 3 on left. Does that mean my AMH is wrong?
@@soumadas489 I would monitor ovulation, have sex at the right time, take a prenatal with enough folic acid, consider adding fish oil and coq10 too. You can ask your doc if progesterone support after ovulation is something they recommend for you.
Been trying to get pregnant for 2 years I am 32 yo, my husband has MFI(Count). I went to my first REI and got my AMH checked and it was .04 and my AFC during that visit was 3. I did get cycle day 3 test and my FSH-7.1, E2-29 back in January. My REI told me the only way I could get pregnant with DE. I did an IUI and it failed. Just feel so lost, would a mini IVF be beneficial? The REI said my chances for regular IVF was 10%.
Jessica A so glad you asked! Yes I think seeing if you can do ivf would be what I would do. I have had so many amazing success stories with patients just like you. It sounds like your REI is giving you a chance and I would take it I think this is the best time to prepare and see which cycle could be the best for you to move forward with.
Hi Norielyn! It's normal for a young person to have a lot of eggs! That's what an AMH of 8.85 implies. I would also just talk to your doc about possibly having PCOS. Hi there,, I have diagnosed with low vitamin D and doctor prescribed me vitamin D with 50000IU per week and at that time after taking only three tablets, I have done Amh test and it was 1.83, do you think This number has changed after I took more tablets and also I am raking daily vitamin D?
hi Agana. An AMH can be normal at 0.11 depending on your age. If you're under 40, I would highly recommend: taking coq10, vitamin D, fish oil, good prenatal vitamin and acai berry (basically a diet of antioxidants as well works great too). Low AMH doesn't mean no pregnancy. It means a lower chance but it is still possible.
I am 25, had an ultrasound and had 18 follicles. My AMH came back after at .212 FSH 19. I had my FSH tested before and it was 5.4. A little confused, should I get it retested?
@@Keepinitreal55 This just shows that as long as a woman has eggs, she can get pregnant. FSH does fluctuate and is a diagnostic tool but the level doesn't tell you that you can or cannot get pregnant unless you're obviously in menopause. I love hearing success stories.

I am not a doctor but it looks to me like your TSH is very high. I have a TSH of 2,4 right now (I have a mild Hashimotos) and my endocrinologist said that we should get my TSH below 2 because I haven't gotten pregnant. You might want to visit an endocrinologist. I went to "normal" doctors for years asking if there was anything wrong with my thyroid and they all said no - just to go to a specialist and there you go... had an autoimmune thyroid condition all those years

keepinitreal as soon as your Hcg level is around 1000 you should be able to see a pregnancy in the uterus. I would schedule an early ultrasound and get blood work done tomorrow. If the progesterone level is low that is a sign the pregnancy may be an ectopic. There’s still a much better chance it could be a very healthy pregnancy in your uterus. Get checked ASAP! And listen to your body
My AMH levels dropped from 24.1 pmol to 19.1 pmol in 11 months. I’m 31. Could that be wrong or is it an indication that I might be heading towards POI?
ATHIRA GANGA see what your vitamin d level is. If you are on birth control that could cause the amh to be lower. Get your follicle check done to see what it is and yes, you have young eggs! You have the eggs of a 20 year old not 40 year old. The other thing I would do is screen your genetics.

Neda Fatahi as far as being a poor responder, 11 eggs is quite good! I would be sure you’re taking coq10, prenatal and vitamin d. Have your husband take similar supplements.
I had my first IUI two weeks ago, my pregnancy test came back negative. We only had 1 follicle of 21 mm. Im 36, husband is 37. My fertility doctor wants me to get my AMH tested. Ive read some studies that suggest taking vitamin D could help... Any more insight on this topic? Thanks
Did you get your Amh levels tested. I have a low Amh of 0.32 at age 32. I am taking several supplements, including vitamin D. I took vitamin D for at least 6 months before testing. My vitamin D levels came out normal, but unfortunately, my Amh did not. It might help in some cases…vitamin D didn’t improve my Amh levels.
Am 34 y/o. Have healthy 4 y/o conceived naturally. My current levels are all wacky and my fertility doctor thinks there is some faulty testing with my FSH. AMH 2.45 ng/ml OAR E2 31.6 pg/ml OAR FSH 31.4 mIU/ml Blood test on day2 FSH 86.90mIU/ml! Periods always regular, was also diagnosed at this time with autoimmune hypothyroidism. Can that FSH level be true? If so what is the cause and could prevent quality eggs / pregnancy? We just finished 1st round of IVF- 11 eggs retrieved, 9 mature, 6 fertilized. Waiting to see blastocysts. This IVF cycle was after 5 weeks of OBC pills. Thank you

Swarali Mhatre I’m so sorry. It is sad when the egg count is low when you still want a pregnancy. I would suggest repeating it with a follicle count and fsh estradiol and talk to your doc about doing whatever you can
Hello...I want to have another baby ,my last born is 7 yrs but My AMH level is very low 0.168 and my age is 40 my FSH 7.72, estardiol level 180pg/ml and vitD 41.5ng/ml....what should I do... Ivf is not an option how do I increase my AMH levels. Can exercise and "dieting" decrease AMH levels
hi Aisha, this is a great question. We don't have anything we can offer women to grow eggs when they're gone. Your data suggests you still have a chance for pregnancy. My recommendation is to be your best self and get into the best shape of your life. It doesn't improve fertility levels but can make your next pregnancy healthier. Also look at sperm health. We spend so much time talking about "what can I do to improve my eggs" and we don't look enough at sperm.

Monisa Alagar you have 27 year old eggs. Your egg quality should be that of a 27 year old but I would consider freezing eggs and or embryos so you have better chances of having more kids in the future. I would get your vitamin D checked and start taking coq10 and see a fertility doctor to talk about your options. You’re a young fertility woman to me!
Monisa Alagar the tablets are supplements to help with egg quality. They don’t act as fertility pills to help you also get pregnant. I would have you consider taking it until you’re done having kids

@@soniyamudassar2146 How old are you? If you're over 40 the chances are less than 5% but still possible! If you're under 40 then there's a better chance. I would take Vitamin D and coq10 and be as aggressive as you can until your eggs run out.
Do you have a video on premature ovarian failure? I was diagnosed at 25 and also have hashimotos. I have my fsh level checked often. I get a random time it goes “low” but still clinically too high.

I am not a doctor but it looks to me like your TSH is very high. I have a TSH of 2,4 right now (I have a mild Hashimotos) and my endocrinologist said that we should get my TSH below 2 because I haven't gotten pregnant. You might want to visit an endocrinologist. I went to "normal" doctors for years asking if there was anything wrong with my thyroid and they all said no - just to go to a specialist and there you go... had an autoimmune thyroid condition all those years

I really don't know what's is dilated fallopian tubes, but I had blocked tubes which unblocked after using some supplements, when I did hsg there was salphingitis and was given some meds to clear it(hope that gives a clue) 3. Christine Mogaka based on what you’re describing I would talk to your doctor about whether you should have the tubes assessed before transfer. There’s a higher risk of ectopic if you have blocked tubes and transfer an embryo. Something you want to be proactive about before transfer

sangita Das assuming Fallopian tubes are open, sperm is good and you have done a carrier screen that shows you are genetically compatible the answer is YES!! I think you are a good candidate for IUI.
Your egg count seems quite healthy and good! It’s just hard to find a good egg over the age of 40. It’s worth trying for though if you can. I hope your cycle works!
Hi there, i am 25 years old I got my AMH levels tested and it came back as a 38.2 pmol/I in UK units. Is this high for my age would this indicate PCOS or anything concerning? I also have endometriosis.
It's normal to have a high AMH at 25. Just because it's high doesn't mean you have PCOS. Endometriosis is a fertility threatening condition. It can block tubes, decrease egg quality and affect the uterus and make implantation harder. You may want to consider freezing eggs, getting pregnant sooner and checking your tubes as well as treatment that will help prevent the progression of endometriosis - such as surgery, birth control pills, mirena IUD and supplements.
What's the optimal level of vitamin d you'd advise for fertility? I will be 36 next month and my amh is 6.37ng. I'm quite sure at my age and this level I have pcos. However I have low androgens with it. my free testosterone is 11.6ng and serum is 2.6pg and i don't seem to have insulin resistance either. My e2 is only 14.06ng and lh is 5.7miu, tsh 1.68 on cd 3. Why estrogen be so low? Does that play into why it takes me so long to ovulate? I have to get more labs done but my ob wanted me to go to a RE at this point..however getting fsh, and prolactin done before my RE appt. in November. .Been trying for 2 yrs now for third baby. I have a hx of long cycles with ovulation anywhere from cd 21-28 and typically a 13-14 day luteal phase after that a 5-6 day heavy period. I've had a couple of chemicals in that time and 2 PUL that apparently reabsorbed with no assistance needed. The only difference between my pregancy of unknown location experiences and my chemicals were that I was getting a positive test immediately after my heavy period of 5 days and it took a couple of months for low levels of Hcg to go down, US always showed nothing in tube or uterus.

My AMH was checked and was 0.05 I also was diagnosed with Subclinical hypothyroidism I have been recently placed on 125mcg of levothyroxine prior to this I have had my AMH checked again and it was 0.09. @@jewelwooten1994 there's no reason to lose hope. You still have a chance for pregnancy. Start coq10 if you haven't already and talk to your doctor about how they can help you be as aggressive as possible to give you the best chance for pregnancy.

Thought I would give people some hope by sharing my story. I’m 28, my amh was 0.22 when I tested it, fsh 14, I have endo that I had a surgery for to remove a chocolate cyst. And we conceived naturally in 4 months! :) low definitely does not mean no ladies, she’s right! and it also doesn’t mean ivf!

:) It's true! There's still a chance as long as your tubes are open and sperm is good to get pregnant if you're ovulating. Of course, your age matters but there's nothing wrong with still hoping for a pregnancy if your doctor thinks there's a chance.
This was beyond refreshing! I am 44 and wanting to grow my family again and my gyn swears that at .55 AMH i will not get pregnant on my own even though my FSH was 7 and estrogen numbers were even still good. Im reversing my tubal ligation and leaving it in Gods hands, personally i dont think I will have any problems. But im ready for whatever outcome.

I suffered a lot. had one miscarriage, 3 lost iui, but got concieved naturally ad nw im wit my baby Thk god. So Others pls dont lose hope, stay away from negatives and always be positive. Ladies, get an ultra sound if you have a hard time conceiving! I found out after 10 years of infertility that I had 3 polyps in my uterus that had to be surgically removed. I had no idea.... After that, my periods got less painful and my pregnancy chances got higher. Also check your Fallopian tubes for clarity. I unfortunately had no idea about any of this until my late 30’s.

Hi MGM, did they check your fallopian tubes during surgery? I was told that I had to have surgery under general anesthaesia to get that checked :/

Hi Dr. Aimee, my AMH is 0.5 but my antra follicle count each month is 11-12. Is the AMH wrong? I do not have endometriosis, and I have normal vitamin D level.
So this is an older thread but I'm going to take a chance. I'm 42. Amh 0.5, fsh 12, but my vitamin D is low. I had eight follicles on the ultrasound and I feel great, I'm in great physical shape. My question is: if I wanted to maximize my chances of successful embryonic freezing what would be the single best method? In other words, if I'm putting all of my eggs in one basket no pun intended what procedure would be the best option. I don't want to have to do multiple rounds of IVF. Quite frankly, I think that would be emotionally draining and it's very expensive. My instinct is to try to go about this is naturally as possible whether that be natural IVF or mini IVF. I do not think my body would appreciate being overly stimulated. I know I'm 42 and if anyone is reading this please do not wait to freeze your eggs. I've spent my entire life dedicated to my education and career and I'm very successful, but I have run up against the clock and it is a terrifying feeling. Anyway, doctor let me know your thoughts! Thank you for this video. We are 1 year into TTC baby 2. I am about to turn 35 and my AMH is .19. We saw about 6 or so eggs in my follicle scan this week. I am 18m PP and weaned a few weeks ago but have had normal cycles for the last 12 months. I have continued my prenatal, cq10, vitamin d, methylfolate, reversatrol, fish oil, folic acid and iron. I am a walking supplement! Anyway, my OBGYN is going to try 2 rounds of clomid and an IUI. Then I am being referred to an REI. Fingers crossed for another healthy pregnancy. Hi Dr. Aimee! I was originally being tested for suspected PCOS - and as a part of that testing my gynecologist checked my AMH level. I am 25 years old. My vitamin D levels were slightly low (~24.8) when checked in February and I have mild hypothyroidism (I take a low dose of levo). I was on birth control for ~7 years but came off of it ~3-4 months before getting my AMH tested. My level just came back as 0.018 and I am shocked and now scared about my fertility based on how low that number is. I don't have a family history of early menopause or fertility struggles. I have a pretty normal cycle q28 days I am at a slight loss of where to go from here... I was not even considering my fertility as an issue at my age but now I am worried. My gynecologist told me that below age 35 I should not be stressed about my AMH level and that it does not mean that I will have fertility issues, but research is telling me otherwise. Do you have any thoughts on my situation and what I need to do next? (Adding that my progesterone came back normal, DHEA and testosterone were high so she suspects I have PCOS).
you're right to question what your ObGyn is saying. I would get seen by a fertility doc that will help you freeze eggs / embryos/get pregnant with IVF. If you haven't had an FSH and estradiol drawn, fragile x screen and chromosome analysis do that too.If you were my patient, I would also check: anti-adrenal anti-ovarian and anti-thyroid antibodies. I am a little confused about what AMH actually "measures". When you say it predicts how late or early someone will go into menopause that sounds like it says something about the total number of eggs left. Somewhere else I read that that is actually not the case but that AMH only says something about the number of follicles of that specific cycle. Which of this is really true?

Also, not all laboratories have the same type of testing method. You may have a huge fluctuation from one lab to another. So do not trust lab results that much. Dr Aimee is right about trusting the follicle count more than AMH...

Arabian Aphrodite your hormone levels are normal for a 41 year old. Chances based on age no matter what your levels. It isn’t zero but it’s less than 5 percent. Talk to your doc about creative family building options. And still consider treatment if you have a good follicle count.

Here’s the truth: there’s still a chance of pregnancy if you’re having periods and haven’t stopped having them yet. I would do the following: start coq10 if you haven’t already, make sure your vitamin d is normal and start treatment right away. Being able to get one egg to grow would be awesome. You may not see that but learn as much about your body and learn more. Repeat your amh. Do day 3 fsh estradiol and do genetic testing: fragile x screen and chromosome analysis. I'm 37 in just a week ...lol...and I had 6 antral follicles showing on day 2 of cycle. They just called and told me that my amh was low at 0.74
When I tested at age 33 I was at 2.7 amh level. Seems like my amh is dropping rather quickly, right?

Secure future options for yourself. Your antral follicle count will be super helpful in guiding you about all your options. The GREAT news is that you are 27 years old. This means you have 27 year old eggs. You do not have the eggs of a 47 year old for example. Talk to your doc about genetic tests like: Chromosome analysis, Fragile X screen as an example of 2 they can consider doing. And keep asking questions! You're on the right path.

lubna janjuah if you aren’t taking coq10 please start it. Do genetic testing like fragile x and chromosome analysis. Talk to your Imam. I have had Muslim patients get the blessing of their Imam and then move forward with egg donation.

I recommend vitamin E if the lining is thin. And there isn’t a particular brand that I tell patients to take. 600 mg per day seems to help. Talk to your doctor about your particular case to see if you even need this.
Medicated/Monitored IUI is in August. Labs are all normal apparently, but why am I 30 almost 32 years of age and have a AMH at 8.44? Should I be concerned at all? I’ve never been diagnosed with anything, so doctors don’t seem concerned. Should I be?

Hi Doctor, I am 36 and my doctor says "Undetectable AMH. Will likely need good gonadotropin stimulation as opposed to simply letrozole". I see that in the report the AMH level shows 0.015. Please suggest on my chances and the approach to be taken. Thank you in advance.

Chances are it will have to be through egg, embryo donation or adoption. Talk to your doc about their different third party donations. Just know you’re not alone and this happens and it doesn’t mean you won’t be a mother. It means your eggs have run out but not your ability to be a mom. So continue to have hope in your heart. Repeat your levels and talk to a doctor who will guide you with kindness and compassion.

@@crissw2471 There is still a chance but your AMH of close to zero means that there likely aren't any eggs left. The FSH over 40 means the same too. However! I have seen patients that will ovulate even with these levels. There could still be a future ovulation for you. It's just hard to know when / if it will come.

Arrey Agbor Scholar there is hope. Did they use birth control pills first? If so that could be the reason for the lower response. Did they dose you with enough meds? Sometimes not using enough meds could cause this. I think there’s still hope. Repeat your levels to see what you learn. ❤️
Egg Whisperer Show Thanks for replying.Yes,they gave me birth control pills for 3months and I was have little blood flow almost everyday.I even had serious stomach pain untill I was taken to the emergency unit twice but they saw nothing serious and just gave me some antibiotics.I started taking 3 shots of stimulants injections for 5days and then 4shots for 2days but the folicles didn't increase in size.I'm so disappointed and afraid. Knowing your age will help me guide you. If you're over 40 a level of 0.01 is age related. If you're under 35 and still having periods, I would start coq10 and DHEA and see an acupuncturist. Make sure your weight is normal and that you're exercising most days of the week and eating healthy so you can maintain a healthy BMI. If your follicle count is >1 then consider taking fertility pills to help you ovulate more than one egg. I hope this helps.

Been trying to get pregnant for 2 years I am 32 yo, my husband has MFI(Count). I went to my first REI and got my AMH checked and it was .04 and my AFC during that visit was 3. I did get cycle day 3 test and my FSH-7.1, E2-29 back in January. My REI told me the only way I could get pregnant with DE. I did an IUI and it failed. Just feel so lost, would a mini IVF be beneficial? The REI said my chances for regular IVF was 10%.
Jessica A so glad you asked! Yes I think seeing if you can do ivf would be what I would do. I have had so many amazing success stories with patients just like you. It sounds like your REI is giving you a chance and I would take it I think this is the best time to prepare and see which cycle could be the best for you to move forward with.

hi Agana. An AMH can be normal at 0.11 depending on your age. If you're under 40, I would highly recommend: taking coq10, vitamin D, fish oil, good prenatal vitamin and acai berry (basically a diet of antioxidants as well works great too). Low AMH doesn't mean no pregnancy. It means a lower chance but it is still possible.
I am 25, had an ultrasound and had 18 follicles. My AMH came back after at .212 FSH 19. I had my FSH tested before and it was 5.4. A little confused, should I get it retested?

I am not a doctor but it looks to me like your TSH is very high. I have a TSH of 2,4 right now (I have a mild Hashimotos) and my endocrinologist said that we should get my TSH below 2 because I haven't gotten pregnant. You might want to visit an endocrinologist. I went to "normal" doctors for years asking if there was anything wrong with my thyroid and they all said no - just to go to a specialist and there you go... had an autoimmune thyroid condition all those years

keepinitreal as soon as your Hcg level is around 1000 you should be able to see a pregnancy in the uterus. I would schedule an early ultrasound and get blood work done tomorrow. If the progesterone level is low that is a sign the pregnancy may be an ectopic. There’s still a much better chance it could be a very healthy pregnancy in your uterus. Get checked ASAP! And listen to your body

Did you get your Amh levels tested. I have a low Amh of 0.32 at age 32. I am taking several supplements, including vitamin D. I took vitamin D for at least 6 months before testing. My vitamin D levels came out normal, but unfortunately, my Amh did not. It might help in some cases…vitamin D didn’t improve my Amh levels.

hi Aisha, this is a great question. We don't have anything we can offer women to grow eggs when they're gone. Your data suggests you still have a chance for pregnancy. My recommendation is to be your best self and get into the best shape of your life. It doesn't improve fertility levels but can make your next pregnancy healthier. Also look at sperm health. We spend so much time talking about "what can I do to improve my eggs" and we don't look enough at sperm.

Christine Mogaka based on what you’re describing I would talk to your doctor about whether you should have the tubes assessed before transfer. There’s a higher risk of ectopic if you have blocked tubes and transfer an embryo. Something you want to be proactive about before transfer

Your egg count seems quite healthy and good! It’s just hard to find a good egg over the age of 40. It’s worth trying for though if you can. I hope your cycle works!

Hi there, i am 25 years old I got my AMH levels tested and it came back as a 38.2 pmol/I in UK units. Is this high for my age would this indicate PCOS or anything concerning? I also have endometriosis.
It's normal to have a high AMH at 25. Just because it's high doesn't mean you have PCOS. Endometriosis is a fertility threatening condition. It can block tubes, decrease egg quality and affect the uterus and make implantation harder. You may want to consider freezing eggs, getting pregnant sooner and checking your tubes as well as treatment that will help prevent the progression of endometriosis - such as surgery, birth control pills, mirena IUD and supplements.

What's the optimal level of vitamin d you'd advise for fertility? I will be 36 next month and my amh is 6.37ng. I'm quite sure at my age and this level I have pcos. However I have low androgens with it. my free testosterone is 11.6ng and serum is 2.6pg and i don't seem to have insulin resistance either. My e2 is only 14.06ng and lh is 5.7miu, tsh 1.68 on cd 3. Why estrogen be so low? Does that play into why it takes me so long to ovulate? I have to get more labs done but my ob wanted me to go to a RE at this point..however getting fsh, and prolactin done before my RE appt. in November. .Been trying for 2 yrs now for third baby. I have a hx of long cycles with ovulation anywhere from cd 21-28 and typically a 13-14 day luteal phase after that a 5-6 day heavy period. I've had a couple of chemicals in that time and 2 PUL that apparently reabsorbed with no assistance needed. The only difference between my pregancy of unknown location experiences and my chemicals were that I was getting a positive test immediately after my heavy period of 5 days and it took a couple of months for low levels of Hcg to go down, US always showed nothing in tube or uterus.

Hi Dr. Aimee I am 32 and have a child we have been trying for a second child for over a year and have been unsuccessful. My AMH was checked and was 0.05 I also was diagnosed with Subclinical hypothyroidism I have been recently placed on 125mcg of levothyroxine prior to this I have had my AMH checked again and it was 0.09. I had an antral follicle count done and it was 10+ (fibroid blocking complete view).could my AMH level be wrong?
Here are a couple more questions: are your periods regular? What is your FSH?

So I think every cycle after an increased dose of levothyroxine is extended and then the next one is between 28 and 31 days
@@jewelwooten1994 there's no reason to lose hope. You still have a chance for pregnancy. Start coq10 if you haven't already and talk to your doctor about how they can help you be as aggressive as possible to give you the best chance for pregnancy.

My AMH has varied; 36yr 0.67 37yr 1.0 37.5yr 0.68. FSH 10, TSH 3.13, T4 14, LH 3,5, PRL 275, regular ovulation & periods. I would love to conceive naturally but I don't have a partner. And since I want 2 kids; I'll head straight to IVF with a donor.
