Kids today really couldn't understand just how much comics and superheroes were looked down upon back then. This sort of thing would piss off real fans because that is how Marvel & DC allowed their characters to be presented to non readers. Readers would try to tell people comics were good but this sort of thing was all they saw. You can watch old CBS bumpers for Friday nights and hear the voiceover performer mention The Incredible Hulk series in a very silly way. Things changed a bit when Batman 89 came out. But then Lois & Clark and Schumacher made superheroes look silly again. While X-Men movies came out before Spider-Man, the X-Men movies had no cultural impact. But the Spider-Man movies began a change. Then Nolan's Batman movies furthered the change and the MCU simply inherited what they began. Ironic though that super hero comics ended up being dead while superhero live action & games became popular. Maybe to many people, superheroes don't even represent comics anymore.
I have questions: Why did they use 'The 'Back To The Future' Theme'? Why is RoboCop there? How did Captain America so easily defeat Doctor Doom and Amora The Enchantress? Why did Captain America fight the Hulk? Why did Luke Cage(AKA Power Man) help the Green Goblin and Doctor Doom catch the Hulk and why did the Green Goblin, and Doctor Doom want to catch the Hulk?

Kids today really couldn't understand just how much comics and superheroes were looked down upon back then. This sort of thing would piss off real fans because that is how Marvel & DC allowed their characters to be presented to non readers. Readers would try to tell people comics were good but this sort of thing was all they saw.
You can watch old CBS bumpers for Friday nights and hear the voiceover performer mention The Incredible Hulk series in a very silly way.
Things changed a bit when Batman 89 came out. But then Lois & Clark and Schumacher made superheroes look silly again. While X-Men movies came out before Spider-Man, the X-Men movies had no cultural impact. But the Spider-Man movies began a change. Then Nolan's Batman movies furthered the change and the MCU simply inherited what they began.
Ironic though that super hero comics ended up being dead while superhero live action & games became popular. Maybe to many people, superheroes don't even represent comics anymore.

Why did Luke Cage(AKA Power Man) help the Green Goblin and Doctor Doom catch the Hulk and why did the Green Goblin, and Doctor Doom want to catch the Hulk?
