Fantastic! That Billy Corgan is a genius. Thanks for the tabs and both parts. I'm still a newbie but that's the first time the time signatures from 3/4 to 4/4 really stood out to me. Great cover. :)
this is my favorite off of siamese dream other than cherub rock, id say cherub rock is more fun to play but quiet hits very hard and is very heavy, you did a really awesome job sparky, i look forward to seeing more!
I love the little catch you do when you play the "Be Ashamed..." part where you hit 9the fret power chord and then the Open E and then you catch the 9th fret PC and slide it to the 7th, its my favorite thing to play
There is something about throwing the open E into rock songs that is so powerful. Hendrix does it at the end of the intro to Voodoo Chile... and every guitarist knows that feeling ... it gets you in the gut!
Hey, brief correction! James Iha plays 799 on the A instead of 022 on the E in the chorus. Billy still plays 022 on the E, though. You can see it in live videos and you can also hear it in the original.
Ideally you want some fuzz (like a Big Muff) but without that then go for as much gain/filth as your amp can give you… and then dial down the mids. That should sound good…
Good stuff but you are playing the main riff slightly incorrectly (came for the lead work). The hammer-on at the beginning should be on the first fret of low E and then slid up to the second fret to play a triplet before the first 5th and an octave.
Hi there... the most important tip is ALWAYS to learn to play it very slowly until you have it nailed. DON'T speed up till you are ready - or you just end up (like I often did!) with fast sloppy playing. It's the lesson I wish I'd learned years ago. Next suggestion would be to use a metronome while you do that... get an app on your phone. The upgrade from that would be to buy Transcribe - great software for slowing songs down and looping them to learn them. The best way (and I'm being genuine here) is to become a Patreon supporter, get the downloadable tab and buy GuitarPro. It's great software and has made me a much better player. Hope that helps!
@SparkyGuitar thank you but I have already tried all that but it's at the first part of the solo on the end where it goes where from 16 to 6 that sound you get how do you do that
@@jarkell correction: actually it wasnt just a big muff, apparently you gotta run it on an MXR Distortion II before going into the Muff. You can search up on youtube "siamese dream pedals" and you'll eventually find Billy himself talking about the SM gear he used
@@SparkyGuitar I wouldn’t say way off… but the chorus is different. If you watch the live recording you can see that they never go all the way down the neck.
This song has one of the greatest guitar solos I’ve ever heard
I'm obsessed with it - Corgans solo's are so unique. Got my loop pedal out and gonna try and loop Iha's part and play it.
True dat!
Facts
It's the tone that makes it. Such a cool sound.
People shit on Corgan, but dude can shred
This song is just so fun to play loud, it flows.
Agreed! It just rolls on and on - like a steam train... it's relentless!

Excellent! Glad you liked it!
Favorite album by them. "Mayonnaise" intro always made me get alittle emotional, in a good way. Rock on Sparky. Tabs are legit.

So what’s the the guitar toned too?
Iha also takes over the solo at the 3/4 part
Yes, absolutetly, Sprk nails it!
Sweet. Didn't even notice the 3/4 time until I read the comments.
what a song, what a solo... Billy is amazing...please, Luna!
Sick bro, got that lead smash on 🎃. Thanks for sharing 🤘🏻
OMG OMG OMG!!! Love you, man! And apologies for not realizing you did Patreon until just now...but I made up for it.
Thank you Doug! Just woke up to your Patreon donation notification. Wow... just wow! Super appreciated!!!
Nice tone
I can't believe you missed the E Pumpkin chord in the chorus...
It's 0 11 × 13 (0) (0)
Thank you for these amazing SP tutorials! Helping me to learn all the songs on Siamese Dream
Freaking awesome!
Thank you so much man
Exactly what I needed! Thanks!
Incredible. Thanks. Shared with band.
Top tier video!
Great song, great playing!
This song sounds so great and the majority of the song is power chords🤤🤤🤤
Nice
Solo 1:54
perfect!
cherub rock
cover please!
Thanks - check out the channel... cherub rock (cover and tab lesson) already done!
I always thought it began with 0-2-2 but its far easier with 0-4-4 then 2-4-4
Yyyuuuuuuuussssss!!!!!
What amp settings and pedals for the tone did you use. ???Incredible cover! 🤘🤘
How did Corgan get that crazy guitar tone on his rhythm tracks? Is that an octave pedal?
Could someone please explain in shorthand, or something similar, that the resolution of complex syncopation will sometimes take an entire phrase
Lovely lesson, how do you get that thick distorted sound?
probably some sort of big muff fuzz effect
probably a big muff op amp or the classic big muff pi
Awesome! Is this tuning A half step or a whole step down?
Hi - tuning details are always in the description below the video. This is actually in Standard tuning
Tell me how to set up the combo amplifier please

Does anyone have any tips for the solo

How do you do that slide?
OK, but how to get that guitar sound/tone they managed to create?
Big Muff
@@ryanmedeiros9450 thanks. I've seen some tutorials and I wonder if it's possible to achieve such dirty result in today's digital era

In what way?
