Quiet
I am sleeping
In here
We need a little hope
For years
I've been sleeping
Helpless
Couldn't tell a soul
Be ashamed
Of the mess you've made
My eyes never forget, you see
Behind me
Silent
Metal mercies
Castrate
Boys to the bone
Jesus
Are you listening?
Up there
To anyone at all
We are the fossils
The relics of our time
We mutilate the meanings
So they're easy to deny
Be ashamed
Of the mess you've made
My eyes never forget, you see
Behind me
Quiet
I am sleeping
Quiet
I am sleeping
Quiet
I don't trust you
I can't hear you
Be ashamed
Of the mess you've made
My eyes never forget, you see
Behind me
Behind me
The grace of falling snow
Cover up everything you know
Come save me from the awful sound
Of nothing
Its great seeing Billy play these songs when he was still excited about them.
@@sidneylacroix204 he doesn't enjoy playing/anything anymore from the looks of it
@@sidneylacroix204 he doesn’t have a private account he has 2 that are open one he just deleted
I don't really get his stage presence and attitude change man, like the style of the band here was very normal and casual in a sense to how the music allows us to relate to the mellon collie vibe and life experience such as depression. When he went bald for a while was okay but I think when he started wearing robes and I think he wore angel wings and with the lineups after this era, the whole band wore the same outfits. Just dont really see how it's relevant and just couldn't dig it imo.
You're not wrong?
@@mast3rchief536 I think Billy was always into the theatrics, which is why he dressed up a lot in the videos and on stage (silver glitter pants in 1995, like wow). It's pretty in-line with the gothic rock image for the band, something Billy himself has said a lot of times. Then came the eyeliner + cape thing, which I admit was a bit much, but I didn't mind 'cause the music still rocked lol.
Underrated-ass song
monkeyliver19 truth
my favorite
Top 5 foe sho but hummers no.1
Big time
HEY DONT CALL THIS SONG AN ASS SONG
One of the greatest Pumpkins tracks. Unheralded and utterly awesome.
-Are you readyyyyyyy????
-(Yeaaaah)
-Yeah but are you ready to rock?...
that solo was possessed
Exactly. People expect "real" music to fall into their laps instead of listening to new stuff and trying to discover amazing music for themselves
Ik im 6 years late but i agree, they should jiust find music or just start playing it themselves
"come save me from the awful sound of nothing"
one of my favorite lines in a song
Look at Billy, just a kid back in the day..
It's amazing how much a bald head and silver trousers will age someone 😂
Bishop Babb 26
@@aaronrm2672 don't you think that's a kid?
That riff tho
Billy is so energetic here! Great performance from a great band :)
An absolute bomb of a song live.
That guitar solo is absolutely crazy and finishing it with "Ahhhh" is pure gold.
I was really high and that solo sounded like being electrocuted by giant, angry candy people in some colourful distant land. Literally that's how specific it is.
This band reminds me of a flaming jackolantern head on a horseman's body just galloping throughout the night terrifying NORMIES REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
robert / both of you; that's exactly what it is....
Yep, I'm not doing drugs
Omnik that’s probably for the best
@Are You Kidding Me stfu boomer
Hands down their best track, ever
Not the best Nathan, but this one Is amazing One with Crazy solo!!!!
i don’t know about best ever, but this whole album is pretty much perfect
This track is so good. Siamese Dream is incredible, it's such a jaw dropping good album
I think Cherub Rock or Mayonaise deserve that spot more
Anyone wondering what the solo effect is: It's a harmonizer. Set on third intervals (I think)
and phaser super slow
Sounds like an octave pedal to me
Thx for reading my thoughts
On the album version it sounds like he's using a wah wah pedal turned 1/4 down.
@@babyyoda3467 nah here’s efnitely a harmoniser or pitch shifter
Billy was a Real force of nature on stage in the early days great live band.
I used to come home from work & headbang to this in 1994, after bong hits. Pure joy.
This track never lets up! And this was a FANTASTIC concert!! Will always love. CHICAGO!!!!!!!
Lots of great music out there; we just have to find it!
Billy's solo was so Dimebag Darrell.
So nasty
Corgan is going wild, getting fired up for this song, real passion!
Man billy raged on stage. XTC must of been great back then when he did it.
is it bad to view the smashing pumpkins as spiritual rock? i feel this in my soul man
i feel u
hell yeah
This song has one of the greatest guitar solos I’ve ever heard
have you heard of Megadeth..
@@Herbalizer28 yes, and I stand by what I said
The song is great and the solo fits the song, but, I mean ..even Soma has a better solo..it's just an odd statement assuming you've been exposed to many "solos"..
@@Herbalizer28 do you not know what “one of” means?
@@cornishspreek.5b Yes I do..by saying that the Soma (or even the Cherub Rock one) is better, I'm implying that even on this very album, there are better ones...so assuming you've been exposed to more than just this band, I find it odd that you choose this 20 sec half solo half rift as "one of the" best solo that you've ever heard !
omg great live performance full of intensity and energy and all the good stuff lol..i think ill watch more live smashing pumpkins
that and Soma are my favorite Corgan solos. It's a shame what they became because he could really shred
The guitars and solos is Hello kitty Kat are amazing too
Saw SP in Miami around this time. Amazing...small venue...such a good show. This is my fave Pumpkins tune...totally underrated tune. And Jimmy Chamberlin...a beast...and that snare sound. A+
My all-time favorite SP song, heavy as fk!
F...kin right Tony badass song
Man i miss being in crowds like that where everyone gets into the music, can't say much for the crowd surfing though.
Looked at the date to this comment and was surprised, thought it'd be a covid comment
I would give my life for been there, i love this song.
Man this song is so underrated. Is pure fire
Cool to see his energy. Saw them in 2015 and he was like a zombie.
Exelente Groove of darcy,s bass
im so sad i never got to see smashing pumpkins like this fuck im sad faojafnsgion
hehe they were so full of energy, love it
This song made me fall in love with the Pumpkins a long time ago. Yesterday my Lyft driver said she was at Sofi stadium in 2024 and saw Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins and Rancid all play. I was jealous
I want a time machine so bad right now!!!
drewdudy same bro😂

This is awesome song and I love this music
I´M 30 YEARS OLD AND THIS IS STILL FUCKING AWESOME!!!
39 now 🎉
Young Billy ripping that fretboard APART!!! Hell yea
The Pumpkins just as you wanted to sound like. Here you have it.
US Festival, so glad I was there. Don't know when and where this was filmed but I am so happy I seen them live
It's an Eventide Harmoniser, a pitch-shifting effect which doubles your dry signal with a preset up-or-downshifted pitch to sound like two guitars harmonising a lead. Corgan used a complicated and expensive rack version, but you can get limited versions of that effect (for much cheaper) from a Digitech Whammy, Boss PS-5 Pitch Shifter or PS-6 Harmonist, etc... Sounds like he could also be using a flanger and/or phaser on it, some discordant wobble going on.
Billy sold this guitar for a ton it sounds like its spitting out gravel its soooo heavy.
Love it ! thanks for posting this
this band is my favorite band of all time. and i know a lot of bands across different eras including underground ones.
Well check you
Me too.
Thanks man- glad to hear I resonate with other people out there.
That live guitar tone is killer. Better than on the album, I think. Perfect blend of fuzz and clean tone. Not too fuzzy and compressed and keeps that clean tone. So good.
look at that crowd how could they not miss this?
0:27 look at the guy with the camera getting ridden in the front haha
aaw billy is fucking adorable ^____^
real :3
Anyone know what effect Billy uses during the solo? It's fucking intense!
Most underrated
Wow, good shout! I'm glad I checked them out. Those bands are pretty sick, especially 凛として時雨
Top3 fav songs of SP
these people went crazy to this and geek usa best show ever
0:32 I believe he plays the chords like that. Whenever I try my hand cramps up.
Billy knew his band was solid AF.
i love this band
what a fucking cool unique band!
Back when they used real fucking amps and it sounded immense. Instant Siamese Dream guitar tone. Heavy and powerful. God Billy's screams are epic in this as well
i love that drum intro so much
thanks for the "fuck off" introduction- it really makes your comment more valid.
Every time I listen to this song my neighbors tell me to quiet
Thanks for the reminder dude
Lol, tough boy behind the computer screen, huh? haha, love it.
I really want that effect on his guitar during the solo....If anyone can let me know what it is (or at least, a similar-sounding effect) I'll come to your house and hug a relative you don't really like so you don't have too.
great quality vid.
I LOVE THE GUITAR SOLO!!!!!!!! lol
they do !!! ha ha ....i love the office , cant wait 4 series 9 next month
I miss D'arcy
Thumbs up for D'Arcy!
She was so gorgeous.
Cant fucking await till next month ❤❤❤
I was less than two years old when this happened
Awesome
This is the goods🙏
“They weren’t ready to rock”
turn up...that volume. :(
So heavy!!
For starters, check out 凛として時雨 from Saitama, Japan. Pretty much my favourite rock band ever. HaKU from Osaka, Japan, are also brilliant.
why isnt the alt scene awesome like this anymore?
WOOOO!!!
Look at Billy go!!! :D
I took guitar lessons in around 2010. The guy said "these days everyone is playing drop d" and even i knew that was an early 90s thing and had died out by 20 aught ten.
Yes thats the good tempo
this is gangster asf
what a fucking hero
love
how badass is this shit? makes me wanna run into a wall
Jimmy fucking Chamberlin!!!!!
American youth in early90s?
Beyond cool. Will never happen again. Shit? 25 years and its not even come close
@Svella420 its a distortion pedal and a compression pedal
The Smashing Pumpkins should be The Beatles of the 90's, no other band could be compare to them.
i always see kids at my school wearing their shirts but i never know if they truly listened
exhilarating
The strangled cat , let loose, with a wig on😅😂👀😆🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is the proper response to sneeze
Old School Boss Harmonizer
This definitely sums up my usual approach to social interaction
The Great!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bad dude
