Ive seen some people posting about resilient sounds on here. Would be amazing to see you put it through its paces. I think you would not regret it and be impressed. Some of the best i have had or setup for other people.
Going to need you to pre-order the bass blaster from sparked. Now it's not a budget woofer. But they also use a 4" coil 2,000 rms. I have a feeling it might be a woofer to test on here
I had a pair of 12s. Had them on a jp23. Gain set with 0db 40hz tone. Would get stinky in 2 mins of playing music. Before that I had some audio legion s25 12s. Never got stinky. Thought I was getting an upgrade. But the audio legion were significantly heavier than the slaps. Upgraded my amp to a smart 5k. Same settings 0db tone 40hz. Would get stinky in 30seconds. Yes voltage was good. 96ah headway, auto tech 240a. Big 3. Good grounds. Never clipped them at all. But got stinky. I asked them and they said it was “excess glue”. Nah there is a difference with excess glue and burning coil smell I’d prob rate the slaps like 700-800w rms maybe. I didn’t want to start anything but kinda glad Parker did this to show people. Upgraded to the avatar Stu 12s and never had a problem.
I'm going to buy a 15" Audio Ace Joker soon and do a review. I'm going to hook it to my Audio Legion AL1600.1D amplifier. Now I don't have a way to tell how many watts I got but I'm going to try to shake my whole bedroom closet 😆👍
Parker, much love, respect, and appreciation for you, brother , for what you are doing for the basshead community keep up the good work making awesome RUclips content
One of the RUclips base heads tested the new AB XFL and it did great! I would definitely get it over the Slapz. It's a better value and should hold up.
I wish I could put up pictures, I have two of the oblivion 12’s on a jp23 at .5 ohms and they been pounding 26 hz for months w no issues they been great
How accurate is that watt meter? At 12:07, based on the led lights of the vu meter, it looks like the big boss 8 is nearing the upper 3/4 of the output spectrum and the watt meter was only showing around 800 watts on dynamic pulses at around 3 ohms-ish....and the big boss 8 is rated at 4800 watts at 4 ohms, so, max at 3ish ohms i'm guessing is around 6500 or so. With those numbers and specs in mind how do we only see 800ish watts being measured by the watt meter? Should be ballpark closer to 3500 or so if the vu meter leds on the big boss 8 are accurate. Just my guesses on what's going on here.
Agree not sure if BHG meter is reading accurately, the big boss 8k was reaching the upper limit of the built in LED meter of the amp, and with rise between 2-3ohm with the big boss LED getting close to its peak hard to believe actual wattage wouldn’t easily be in the 3000-4000 watts area. Still good review by Parker
BRO WTF? i just found this brand like yesterday and was thinking man i wonder if parker did a review of this and then today here it is ! I think this sub is gonna be mine.
Thank you again for another awesome video! You should make you a oil heater and change your own oil on your vehicles. Save that oil, filter it and burn it in that garage. Free heat and they work great when done with the right materials. And if you run out of oil, just grab diesel and turn down the flow.
@MikeMik86 not at all. They played the lows with no problem with plenty of excursion. Super windy subs man just hate that I blew them. Like I said it's user error 100% so I will be slapping recones in them for sure❤️
Definitely appreciate Parker’s review and the time he takes to make these videos for the community. Couple concerns we have Being that a single Oblivion 12 D2 was wired to 1 ohm on a Big boss 8k (let that sink in) and was being played during the break in period on obviously extreme power that the sub is not rated for (as shown in the video around 12 mins in the big boss 8k “power LED was getting close to its max on the amp but somehow the BHG meter only reading 800-1000 watts????) in a box at the max of what we would suggest tells me the sub was probably damaged at some point during that break in period hence bottoming out. The voice coil damage shown in the video is definitely the cause of bottoming out from extreme power. Not saying Parker did anything wrong at all purposely but without a doubt the Subs voice coil was visibly damaged and still somehow achieved the RMS test at or around 2000 rms for 2 mins. If you look at the situation (2k rms sub on a big boss smart 8k wired to 1 ohm, in larger box) and still did 2k in free air with damage to voice coil for 2 mins somehow, is actually a win.
With it being on a big boss 8k (let that sink in) on a single dvc2 12 wired to 1 ohm with an enclosure that is at the absolute largest size we suggest chances are the bottoming out and voice coil damage occurred during the week long break in period Parker said he did. We don’t suggest anymore then a 3k per sub, or a 5k per 2 subs period, after impedance rise the sub would be seeing its realistic rms. an 8k per sub and a smart 8k at that is not realistic for a single oblivion sub . Just isn’t. With these conditions anything during that break in period could happen to the sub causing damage to the voice coil causing damage to the coil.
@subdynoman the magnet is insane! That's one of the reasons why I inverted my 10". You can see it in my story vids. What size punisher are you running?
I've ran a Destroyer 12 and it's was pretty nice for the budget side of subs and slayed lows. But this looks identical to a lot of trash subs I've seen in the past like Jones N SPL subs
@@ChaosTherapy719 Its funny seeing people hate on budget subs like Rockville. I feel like if you're not running in car shows or flexing your wealth. A decent budget sub would out perform a name brand $200 like JL, kicker or Orion
I think the newest thing thats caught my eye recently is the Sparked Innvoations Bass Blaster subs. 4" coil even on the 10", 2000 watts RMS and a killer blue/silver color combo. Designed by some dude name Jacob Fuller, who might know what hes doing ! Edit: what do you do with all the stuff you blow? Just toss it in the trash?

I’d still like to see a Savard HiQ 12” or 15” sub tested!! They are rated at about 1500+ rms, have a true 300 ounce motor, and 30mm of xmax. I’d really like to see if one would last in your free air rms testing!!!
This things needs a smaller box with a bigger longer port. If he could have put some 2x4 into the box to eat up some volume u would see better port performance I would prefer another spider lower in the coil to keep it aligned
Slapz Audio has changed the budget Bass world many of his subs out here doing 158+ and demoing all day at show’s!! And he is cheap cheap he is the new Budget banger brand
I took a chance and got the 8k 1ohm it does good but not as good as the Stetsom 8k 2 ohm that lasted almost 4 years of basically daily use. The 1st Gen solo X’s had bottoming out issues as well. But since the woofer is the last piece of the bass puzzle most should focus on getting proper electrical. But I’ll always recommend finding a experienced woofer builder then learn to build your own woofers and boxes.
Did a few boxes for these. Seemed they like smaller boxes with less port area. Working on a 4th order blow through with four of the 15s in a week or two
What is that, a full inch of Xmax? Needs a Excursion stopping ring ( I can't remember what it's called, think it's named after a famous scientist) with that small amount of clearance
I use to love watching your videos but it's getting to the point that you really need to learn what Subsonic and LPF filters do and how to set them.. Just throwing a sub in a box and playing it on full tilt with no filters set doesn't mean that sub is going to handle it.. If you're bottoming out a sub while playing certain frequencies then that means you're playing outside the sub and boxes combined bandwidth. Yes, combined bandwidth meaning you can use the same exact box but different subs are going to perform differently resulting in different filter setting requirements and different power handling levels.. WinISD is your friend and putting a sub in its ideal box with the ideal box tune and properly set filters not to mention a good amp on good electrical can all equate up to one of two outcomes, either the sub plays properly and lasts or it doesn't.. MD Audio did it best about 10 years ago when they compared a Rockford Fosgate Power 12 to a MTX 9500 12 to a JL Audio W7 to a Kicker Solo X 12 to a Orion HCCA 12 to a Cerwin Vega 12 and all being in their ideal boxes then each one being powered by a Crown 3000w amp. In all honesty if you're going to make review videos you should have a few pre-made boxes (2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5cuft and so on) that you can attach one of multiple external ports to so you can choose the correct box and correct port tune for properly testing a sub, but even doing that would require graphing the sub in a program like WinISD then adjusting the Subsonic and LPF every every test..
I agree actually. It's the equivalent of buying a random cheap sub and a prefab enclosure and not knowing what the vehicle resonate tuning is and hoping for the best
This is why I have been really reluctant to do subwoofer reviews on my channel but what Parker did is exactly what the majority of people would do who would buy a 200 subwoofer. Most wouldn’t even care about it being in a 2 cf box…
I hope Slapz audio reaches out and sends you a recone or another sub that was very disappointing to watch when it could have been that is just was not aligned correctly
It did better than I expected. Although that mechanical noise is awful. People on FB are always talking these things up. Looks like Slapz got slapped. This is an example of “you get what you pay for”.
Try the golden eagle subwoofers wanna see you put em through the ringer!! Super budget subs. 1500w rms 3 in coil dual tinsel stout guys. I like em and got 4 but i dont take em to the extreme!! $125 a piece for the 12s atm.. normally 150! Love the vids! Keep on keepin on!!!
I have two of the smackdown 18s and they sound amazing, however did blow one and ill say 100% was user error. Reached out to the owner and he sent me out another one. I will say they get low and loud but itll be interesting to see how long they can actually last compared to subs like skar, ct, soundqubed etc.
Was wondering the same. Just my guesses on what's going on here.
I'd like it if the spider pack was less stiff, maybe a single spider, turn it into a good quarter wave subwoofer with a lower Fs, lower Qts. High-ish Qts will make it kinda burpy, tune at 36hz and it will be supendously loud at 36hz, then unload like crazy anywhere under 36hz. Probably could win some awards with 3 in the trunk tuned to 36hz with about a 5.5-6 cube box
I was so excited to get one of these when they first came out. But I definitely hesitated. I ended up getting a used one in hand and I was quite disappointed. That motor was way too small for that coil. 1000 RMS is more accurate. Slapz Audio and Alan are great otherwise. Amps are great value. Can't wait to see the Smackdown line from Slapz!
You'll never get more bang for buck then with power acoustik 💯💯💯😎 would like to see ya do a build using some power acoustik BAMF 12 or 15 inch series 😉
Been looking at this sub around on eBay for a while, for the price you can’t beat it. They also have a higher product line than this one. I wonder how those sound? If I was in need of a sub I would definitely get this one. Lately because I’m cheap I been buying blown up subs and rebuild them.

You need a couple dozen of those in your shop running to get some heat in there.
Haha yessir!
Slapz be slapping............that voice coil.
What is that, a full inch of Xmax? Needs a Excursion stopping ring ( I can't remember what it's called, think it's named after a famous scientist) with that small amount of clearance
It needs a bumped backplate so the coil won't hit be backplate.
Good review, vary entertaining👍
Great video my guy. Another one bites the dust. No thank you on that one . KEEP BASSIN ON
I use to love watching your videos but it's getting to the point that you really need to learn what Subsonic and LPF filters do and how to set them..
Or like taking a custom enclosure out of a vehicle and stuffing it into a completely different vehicle and hoping for the best result.
There's so many factors that go into testing and tuning that commonly get over looked and never taught to the viewers
This is why I have been really reluctant to do subwoofer reviews on my channel but what Parker did is exactly what the majority of people would do who would buy a 200 subwoofer. Most wouldn’t even care about it being in a 2 cf box…
@@BassDad-TVand then they call the sub trash but in reality they have absolutely no business installing ANY type of audio at all in anything.
When audio pipe was on sale it was $100 off retail! I watched your review and went with the big beefy 5 magnet and it’s pretty good.
Audiopipe is definitely one of the best bank for the buck options out there
I hope Slapz audio reaches out and sends you a recone or another sub that was very disappointing to watch when it could have been that is just was not aligned correctly
It did better than I expected. Although that mechanical noise is awful. People on FB are always talking these things up. Looks like Slapz got slapped. This is an example of “you get what you pay for”.
Temperature has a huge influence on power handling over time, so for as cold as it is there makes me wonder.
Save your cash and buy the new Sky High Audio Subwoofer coming out soon!.
The thing is a monster!!!!!
Meh. Generic crap. The Sparked Innovations sub is wayyy better and way better built.
Is it chykneese?
Try the golden eagle subwoofers wanna see you put em through the ringer!! Super budget subs. 1500w rms 3 in coil dual tinsel stout guys. I like em and got 4 but i dont take em to the extreme!! $125 a piece for the 12s atm.. normally 150! Love the vids! Keep on keepin on!!!
I've got 2 on a slapz audio scd 3k. Great subs
I have two of the smackdown 18s and they sound amazing, however did blow one and ill say 100% was user error. Reached out to the owner and he sent me out another one. I will say they get low and loud but itll be interesting to see how long they can actually last compared to subs like skar, ct, soundqubed etc.
How accurate is the watt meter???
Was wondering the same. Should be closer to 3500 or so if the vu meter leds on the big boss 8 are accurate. Just my guesses on what's going on here.
@guidoschnelzer942 this right here is kind of suspect
you gota grab the new 2025 AMERICAN BASS XFLs..same price point as this SLAPZ..
Yeah those look really good and one 12 hit like 141db.
They look like the Alibaba cookie cutter subs to me, so does a lot of their amps
Yo Parker how about testing the d4s hexicone 6.5s and 8s see how loud and clean u can get em
Had one on a taramps bass 3k 1ohm running at 2ohm handle it really good with a big box
Where can I buy the subwoofer enclosure that you used for this 12"?
How about the pioneer 2030 that's currently $150 and 1800 watts rms?
I have 2 15 oblivions on a 5k and they are awesome
Do you have a RUclips channel of them because I was looking to buy two 15 oblivions to put on my 5k until I watched this video IDK…🤷🏾 now
Can u do review on the dd redline sub 700 series or the 800 series ❤
812F❤❤❤
I was so excited to get one of these when they first came out. But I definitely hesitated. I ended up getting a used one in hand and I was quite disappointed. That motor was way too small for that coil.
1000 RMS is more accurate. Slapz Audio and Alan are great otherwise. Amps are great value. Can't wait to see the Smackdown line from Slapz!
Hey parker Is that plexi loose on your box? I could see it flexing and kind of sounds like it too
Morel Ultimo TI 12 uses 5,1 Inch coil
You'll never get more bang for buck then with power acoustik 💯💯💯😎 would like to see ya do a build using some power acoustik BAMF 12 or 15 inch series 😉
Been looking at this sub around on eBay for a while, for the price you can’t beat it. They also have a higher product line than this one. I wonder how those sound? If I was in need of a sub I would definitely get this one. Lately because I’m cheap I been buying blown up subs and rebuild them.
Didn't the Rockville last more 😅😅😂😂😂😂😂
Dtx Dreamsicle will crap on most of the subs you’ve tested on this channel def check them out
