Chillin' w/ the homies in a basement drifting RC cars looks like a damn good time. Your desire to upgrade electronics fairly immediately upon opening the RTR makes me think I should go the kit route though, haha.
Only ended up upgrading the stock servo and gyro. I kept the motor and esc. Definitely good times 🤘😎

Any tip on binding it out of the box? Ive been trying to do it but it never bind.

Just got my mst rmx 2.5 about a month ago and runs great but I haven’t don’t any upgrades probably won’t be doing any until they break on me.
Honestly it's great out of the box. It drifts really smooth. Only thing I would keep a eye on is the steering servo. The stock one did not last me one whole battery.
I just did my first pinion upgrade recently and i got a great response for a cheap upgrade.

Im still confused what battery/connector im supposed to order with this
@scuffedvanz9411 your going to want to get 5mm bullet connectors and I use a 5000 mah 2s lipo.
@@edriftin I ended up going with a 2s shorty battery that comes with the connectors, got the mustang body one

@@bkurru you can turn down the Gyro gain.
@@edriftini have a mst 2.0 can i still do it?
@@bkurru definitely! You will need the small plastic flathead that should have come with the car if you have the stock gyro.

And I got a question when looking at the other body’s why dose it say back order how dose that even work?? ( I’m talking about the other cars on the website
The 2.5 Rtr are extremely popular so they are difficult to get. I got lucky and found mine from a hobby store on ebay but Amain had pre-orders that took 3 months to get them.
@@edriftin thanks I’m deciding to get into rock crawling or drifting I might get a 1/24 scale rock crawler then drifter later
@natekoro8594 haha nice! I just got bit by the rock crawler bug as well so I went ahead and just ordered the RC4WD TF2 Scottsdale. I'm in so deep now lol 😆

What makes it a drift car?
There is a couple different classes of rc drift car. AWD all wheel drive and RWD rear wheel drive. This one is a RWD. The gearbox is setup to spin the tires quickly and the gyro is connected to the steering so when you slide the car will countersteer to keep the car in a drift easier.
