thanks for the tutorial, this really helps because rendering volumetric fog is really slow

Hi, great video! I'd just like to ask about a situation regarding volumes that is very specific to my case. So, I've got an area volumetric shader that I created an atmospheric scene with in the shape of a cube. It covers the whole scene. I tried to add volumetric clouds in the form of mesh to volume and I used metaballs to create the shapes. Now, of course I've got principled volume inside of a principled volume. this creates an interference and the domain clamping around my clouds shows up no matter what, because the light is passing through two mediums. How would I composite it so that my clouds don't lose their volumetric properties but also my adaptive domain doesn't show up and screw up the whole quality of the render? I've already tried rendering the clouds and the scene separately, but when I composite on the sequencer with "screen" properties, of course that's simply taking the 2D image and slapping it on top of my scene, meaning my clouds lose the volumetric look and simply blend into the scene as 2D images. I've researched for hours about deep compositing but nobody seems to have given the answer to my specific issue. How do I deep composite two volumes into a single image without losing the quality of either volumetrics? It'd be greatly appreciated if you could tell me because I'm about to just abandon the idea of volumetric clouds altogether XD

literally had strep when this video was made, try recording a video with strep and see how many times you cough/sniffle.

@@PolygonIsland its easy, DON'T RECORD while sick! Its disrespectful to anyone trying to watch. Wait til you heal, my goodness! I have to agree, this was brutal & made it unwatchable imo as well. (yes, I realize this vid is +1yr old but still lol)
