I’ll try with the 1 hour cycle, what bothers me is that after hours that is already finished, the machine is not completely “dry”, compared to the other GE model I had in my other house. Thanks for the tips!
Can you go on details of each option? Today I received mine, same model, so I chose normal, and it kept going for over 2 hours, I had to stop it manually. And I also noticed that the lock 🔒 light was off, isn't it supposed to be locked when washing?
I believe the “lock” feature is when you want to lock the controls (so the machine cannot be disturbed while running). I don’t like machines running for hours. The 1 hr wash is shorter… which implies that the other cycles are longer than an hour. Two hours doesn’t surprise me anymore. We sold the house with that machine so I cannot provide more details unless I buy another. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@Deborahcerutibucci I don’t have this washer anymore. Can you cancel the cycle or just let it run on heavy this time? I wonder if a “heavy” cycle was started accidentally, then interrupted?
@@fixthishouse3303 I’m not sure it’s my son’s rental and I’m just visiting and we can’t seem to get it out of the heavy mode. I’ll have to just call the super from the apartment.
Thanks for this video, I just purchased a home with this dishwasher and it's not running. I'll review your video again and check out the comments. There is a level of an inch or so of water at the bottom so I'm not sure it's draining properly.
Did you figure it out? Water in the bottom could mean that a cycle was started and was interrupted… or the drain is clogged (like a piece of plastic is blocking it) or the machine is broken.
I don’t have this machine anymore, but there is a tab on the top (front) side of the rinse aid compartment. Press the tab and pull or slide the compartment open.
Have you had an issue where a bunch of the buttons are blinking? I think I stopped the last cycle too early but I am having no luck fixing the issue after turning my breaker on and off and trying to hold down the start button for three seconds. Was wondering if there was another way to fix this?
I don’t have this machine in front of me, but there should be a “reset” or “cancel” option. Usually you hold the start button for 3-5 seconds. Look carefully for words that say * hold 3 seconds.
My start button flashes when the machine is started and then opened. Does it start if you press start again? If that doesn’t work, you could try resetting the machine (to end an incomplete cycle) by pressing/holding the start button for 3+ seconds.
This maker seems to be complex, the light keeps blinking and it won’t start. Notified the maintenance, they kept saying it’s working maybe I didn’t lock it well🙄
You can usually look up the part numbers on the GE website - they usually have diagrams. Then search for the part number on different sites (GE, Amazon, EBay, etc) and buy the best one.
I thought normal would be less than an hour, its one hour 20 minutes. Wondering and hoping it shuts off automatically because NONE of the GE literature shares such info.

It sucks

mine too...
It seems this dishwasher is complex seeing these comments, it shouldn't be rocket science. I'm missing my former dishwasher. Okay will try it again.
I was missing our dish washing machine we kept making and seeing the dishing stacking up so we bought another dishing washing machine
How do you turn it off? please
Omg right, that's why I'm here to find out!
What is the difference between Boost and Steam + Sani (wash temp)?
Boost makes it extra dry (especially plastic items); Steam and Sani would be extra cleaning options for destroying “germs.”
I can't get my rinse aid compartment to open. Can you show me that?
I don’t have this machine anymore, but there is a tab on the top (front) side of the rinse aid compartment. Press the tab and pull or slide the compartment open.
Mines won’t put water in while washing

I haven’t, but here’s a video on how to do a hard reset. Maybe it’ll help? m.ruclips.net/video/JIqGAow77jY/видео.html
How can you set it to dry with out going through an entire cycle
I don’t think so.
If it’s locked in one mode how do you get out of it? Cannot change cycle.

How do you clean it?
You could use Affresh dishwasher cleaner like this (affiliate link): amzn.to/3Ak5pge
How can i gat the lower spray arm part?

What if the start button stops working
I’m not sure what that means. Please let us know if you get an answer.
I cannot change the cycle mode. It stays in heavy.
It might be broken.
Anyone having problems at first just pour a pint of hot water into the bottom
Is that a hint for first time using the machine?

I *think* it shuts off automatically like most dishwashers, but we’re no longer in the house with this machine.
It doesn’t work fme
What happens?
Me either!
