- we had 1 day to get the van conversion into a usable state to be able to use it while I had a week in the lake district living vanlife. we had to board and ply line the whole van and then carpet the campervan. fit campervan altro flooring and swede ceiling.... we failed

Just found your channel and enjoying your vids love your honesty and the fact you show mistakes so we can all learn from them ...keep up the good work and ignore the fannies that are just being negative and giving snide comments for no reason
You need to learn to take your time pal instead of bodging everything.
Exactly what I was going to comment on. There are hundreds of van build videos but he just ploughs on. He’s a great guy but needs to gen up and slow up.
Entertaining watch mate. Do take your time like others have said, bud, and try to plan a bit more. Everything is so hectic. More haste less speed.
Hi, what's the difference between haste and speed. I thought they were the same. Truly asking. Thanks!
Another great video! Regarding your old heater personally I'm voting that you take it apart and try to give it a clean out. Main reason being if you ever need to do repairs on your new one then you will be more familiar with inside of it and secondly being you have newly cleaned spare one to use if you ever need to wait for a new part.
You need to tune up your heater. Its running rich and you can find videos on how to get a better air/fuel ration and burn cleaner.
Your doing a great job and I look forward to your next video. (toby from arlington heights IL, usa)
If Frank Spencer did van conversions........
Ooooooooooooooooowwwww Betty
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Thought this was going to be a high end refurb. Instead bodge after bodge. Get some professional help. A DIY course instead of a driving course would have been helpful.
Awww.. your bird is So camera shy 🤣😁
Bassinthwaite Lake Richard!!! All the rest are mere or waters. Loving the journey.
Can i suggest, planning things more , and slow down, your working faster then you speak ,
I still dot understand wy you need a shower in such a narrow van, I put one in my Relay and used it once the took it out and it made such a difference with extra room and storage, its very very easy to keep clean in a van and easy to find showers as and when, still each to their own...🤙🤙and who ya working for, Culina, ESL? coz I might seen you on the road,
Looking good up to now mate. Love the commentary and the abrupt end to every video 😂
For ages I thought you had a massive black head on your lip 😂 just realised is a stud
I had that floor in my kitchen and bathroom, its a nightmare to clean, you will have to scrub it to get the dirt out. The van is coming on great, well done 👍👍
Learn how a router works!!! When routing internal apertures you go clockwise!! Else it will run away from you. 🙈😂
I’ll keep a look out for the van, might see you around Penrith
Fucking hope not.
Need to sort those rust spots on the roof pal
Wall mount the fan.. I’ve seen a few shower builds where they have done it
Put an exhaust silencer on the endof the air intake hose, it will reduce the noise of the diesel heater.
Wood MILES cheaper at Savoy around the corner mate. 👍
Can't wait see this one.. I am building my van off you last cheap option...
Hi. Vans coming on well. Can't wait to see it done. I use shell vpower diesel, do u. Good for keeping engine clean. Safe journeys. Looking forward to seeing your next video and finished van. Best wishes David and Beverley Norfolk
Seriously??! You think this is coming along well?? Worst conversion I've ever seen and as another comment said,it gives van-lifers a bad name.
I've been enjoying your videos but really struggled with this one... like the screwdriver to pry the edge of the ply got me wound. Materials are too expensive to just smash around. Bit more respect to your materials and taking care will go a long way to improving the quality of your van - especially so as you were going for a more upmarket version this time around. Love to see your skills and quality improve but you need to slow down!
Take your time mate. Stay at your mrs's house and do a little bit each day. Your spending 10s thousands on it so you may aswell do it properly. Its carnage! Some van builds take 12 - 18 months. Slow down my man!
Any short on the upgrade
If this is costing 40k give Liam the terrible a ring you will be a lot better off
LOL..
40k my arse !! Wouldn't give you 4k for it,total bollocks of a "conversion "
😂😂😂
We travel from Wigan to Maryport most weekends and it is a running joke in our car that we mention that there is only one lake in the Lake District. Sad but true. 🙄
Hmm diesel heater ... is your exhaust at a right angle... or is it straight down ??
Maybe reason for soot build up ...
They dont really explain but the angle of an exhaust should be straight down where possible , or very slight angles ...
P..s dont replace if it stops working ... look for videos to repair ...as itll be just an internal filter usually
Hi
where did you get the campervan decal?
So confused why you're doing this conversion. This is supposed to be the "proper job" and everything is as bodged as the last one. The gaps between the wood, the routing, the chaotic transition between jobs, it's wild. Why you didn't just take your solar panels off for half an hour to avoid making such a mess with the caulk as well is beyond me. I thought you were getting someone to do this for you? Bizarre choices mate. Fingers crossed it turns out well at the end.
can get a kit of amazon £!5 for heter and take apart and clean i do mine ever year or depends on time used
How not to build a van lol strip it all back out and start again
A really hard watch, clearly a complete lack of planning. Constant errors, terrible workmanship and I really can’t se how it’s going to turn out well.
It's not going to turn out well. Love this channel but he needs to slow down
@@procanvasHe needs to pack in and get someone who knows what they are doing and has some pride in workmanship and at least some skills.
Thought you was quitting work and being a full time you tuber ?? What happened ? Did it not work ?
Judging by this total cock up on this van and the video, the videos of this build will only be used as an example of how NOT to covert a van.
👍👍🚚🚚🚚👍👍
the only lake is lake bassenthwaite

Wow pal .... you really should slap yourself ,and researched routers ...
1st tip I'll give you ... for long straight edges , afix a long straight edge.like a builders spirit lvl etc .. to a measured distance ,
So firstly , measure router plate to centre of bit ... and write that down .
Then you can use math ,to work out where your straight edge should sit .. as the router plater will follow this ,to give a clean cut.
Now , your rounded corners , here is what you want a slap for ... routers can be used with a jig known as a circular or compass jig ...the name explains it ..
P.s. with routers .. and plywood especially ... remove small amounts of material ...at each pass.. to save getting tear outs ,or the blade jumping ...
Dame for solid wood , plus your blades last longer ...
Oh and keep fingers in safe places when routing !!
All the best
P.s. pardon my spelling , larger thumbs
Do yourself and your wallet a favour and get someone with a little skill level to do this conversion. Sorry lad, you are a great guy but to watch this series of diabolical craftsmanship is beyond. Think, talk and work slower.
Some people should just stay well away from building vans, total waste of a nice 2018 crafter! What’s inside is never going to match the standards of the outside is it. 😂 waste of time!
If you’re going to do half arse rushed bodge job then do it on a 2007 sprinter or an old Renault traffic
Next person who buys that van gonna get it cheap for one and secondly is just going to end up striping it and starting again and have to treat a load of rust inside the van where he’s scratched the paint off with the router… ffs 🫣
It gives the whole community a bad rep as far as im concerned, no wonder insurance prices are on the rise…
Totaly agree, this plonker shouldn't be let near a van conversion. He hasn't a clue, really bottom rate shoddy workmanship, a total mess that is hard to watch as he destroys that van. Total muppet.
