Its been a minute since i watched his backstory, but the doctor was aware of his "medicine" being poisonous, right?
One could argue he killed himself by accepting something he knew was dangerous.
Its like someone offering you nuts, and you accept, but you are deadly allergic. I would argue you yourself had more fault in your own death in that scenario, by accepting.
Especially if the person offering had no idea (which Chopper did not).

It is a weird coincidence how all 3 monster trio flashbacks were altered in some way by the anime.
Luffy’s flashback happens late, as in the manga it was chapter 1. The anime also doesn’t show the scene of Luffy punching the lord of the coast until the end of the ASL flashbacks.
Zoro’s flashback is after Syrup Village whereas in the manga it is during Shellstown when he is about to be shot by a firing squad.
Sanji’s flashback has Zeff lose his leg trying to save Sanji whereas the manga has him literally smash his leg with a rock until it comes off and he eats it to survive on the rock they land on

An average strength man will be far stronger than an average-strength female. We are a sexually dimorphic species; men typically have 20-30% greater lower body strength and typically 40-50% greater upper body strength. This is the reason we segregate sports by sex (until this recent nonsense).

i think zoros backstory is so underrated because it touches on something that is actually really rare in battle anime which is the general cruel unfairless of the universe and random chance. kuina being a prodigy but beliving that she had no chance in the future because of being born a woman, and her death by falling down the stairs being the most meaningless, average death imaginable are perfect examples of harsh reality that should have made zoro feel like "growing stronger" was pointless, but instead pushed him to further defy that reality because he is just that gigachad and sisyphus pilled.
as a fat disgusting slob who has given up on their health because improving their body is just too hard and they are just going to die anyway, zoro resonates with me because i wish i could have his will in the face of the absurdity of the universe.

    • @cyriellequirion8883

Asolutely underrated ! Specially now we know his family tree, with his parents (and maybe grandparents) died by the times he meet Kuina, around nine years old.
Like, of course Kuina's death was traumatizing for him, he's already lost his ENTIERE family, and now his cousin/rival/best friend/idol !
Anyway, saying that one person is less traumatized than another is disgusting.

@@concettasorvillo3719 Definitely. If you think about it, suicide is heavily ingrained into Japanese history, culture and society. If they feel like a failure or humiliated to a certain degree, they commit suicide. That's just reality, but in the anime/manga, you can tell she was overwhelmed due to puberty, depressed because she realized Zoro was getting stronger while she would continue to get weaker in comparison. My opinion is.. she killed herself because of all that but also because she didn't want to be a disappointment to Zoro who looked up to her and saw her as his goal. If she was his goal while he would inevitability get stronger than her.. it would stunt Zoro's growth. I KNOW Oda thinks that far ahead, so I think that's definitely it.

Another thing is that seems that In Japan is common to say "she/he felt from the stairs" to indicate a suicide. Because of course they will never say it out loud. Probably for Japaneses it was easier to see that Kuinas death was a clear suicide.
Sorry for my English, I hope is understandable 😀

So what I'm thinking, which is abso-fucking-lutely wild to me about 21:20, is with some pretty serious spoils coming up, so if you dont want them dont scroll about whether or not the stories were set up before or during one piece's conception....
All of the big dreams that they have seem to point into one single direction. It's no secret that a running theory about their dreams is pretty much solved, but in order for that single thing to take place and solve all of their dreams, it starts at the very beginning. Which means, if this one thing that is the running theory of One Piece's end IS TRUE, that means Oda had this all figured out before he wrote episode 1. Think about it, even with the main 5 going to the grand line, they still needed extra crew the whole time, so it only made sense to have those crew thought of prior to writing the show, too right? So planning for their characters had to have happened before the show started. MAYBE by some chance he wrote in some extra characters with the little flexibility available with their stories as to not clash, but I truly think he had a good chunk of the story fleshed out prior to writing. Once again, the spoiler so you've been warned.
Destruction of Reverse mountain. This fixes all of their dreams. The biggest one is literally all blue. Fixes all of the weather patterns. Map of the world. Sailing around the world. Laboon. All of it. I'm confident that it's not the one piece, though. I'm confident that the One Piece is still not determined yet in the show and I don't think the one piece has been guessed yet. I think we're still waiting on that, but I am sure whatever it is, it's going to make us all laugh. So far... everyone that's seen it or heard about it laughed. I do not think there are accurate theories of what the one piece is.
Which this is vastly different from our big 4, dbz naruto bleach and onepiece. Dbz was 'supposed to end' at frieza and also again at cell. Naruto didn't continue until they knew they had the funding, even after pain ended, the story could have ended there. Any of those big 'finishing' kinds of fights could have been an ending. Bleach could have ended after rukia got saved or after aizen. One piece couldn't have ended anywhere. He still hasn't found the one piece. Zoro didn't become the best yet. This is why I have such a high regard for Oda, he's a master worker.
