Gold-plated four-bolt neck-plate which is engraved "Custom Built / For / Cathy Parker / 1997". Three gold covered Fender Lace Sensor pickups with outputs of 7.26k, 5.94k, and 7.13k. One volume and two controls plus three-way pickup selector switch. Stratocaster hat-shaped metal knobs with knurled sides. 'Vintage-style' Fender combined bridge/tailpiece with six saddles and through-body stringing. Gold-plated tremolo cover with six screws. The neck is marked on the underside "T 61 J / Aug 13 1995" and the potentiometers are stamped: "R 137 9523" and "R 137 9525" (CTS, June, 1995). All of the hardware is gold-plated and this amazing guitar is in mint (9.50) condition. Complete with the original Fender Custom Shop Certificate of Authenticity which is signed by John English and dated "11-18-99" describing the guitar as "Custom Built Harness Strat", serial # "1997", a hand-written letter from Cathy S. Parker, dated March 25, 2010, describing in detail how this guitar came about, a photograph of Cathy Parker and John English, with Cathy holding the guitar, and the original Fender Custom Shop tan leather guitar strap, Housed in the original G & G black hardshell case with black black leather ends and black plush lining (9.50).
Even if I don't dig the guitar in these videos, I always dig Phil X man...
SHE HAD A BEAUTIFUL APARTMENT
I don't know if you guys noticed... but this is possibly one of the best sounding guitars ever demoed at frettedamericana... Incredible Phil...
You are amazing phil X. Really, you have really influenced my playing, just that way of grabing the neck and giving it your all for every single note. You absolutely amazing.
What a beautiful stratocaster! That wood looks incredible. All the detail looks great too. And those pickups sound amazing!!
The whole video is fantastic!
My heart melted all of a sudden around 0:40,that was so melting.
Oooh My God one of the most beautiful stratocasters that I have ever seen in my life.

I love my Strat, it sounds amazing just like this one!
He's loopy in the head with the looper! It's good that anyone is actually playing that awesome guitar. Who better than Phil X?
Are we ever going to get to see that light coloured, heavily flamed Les Paul up on the right? Seems to have a light (rosewood?) headstock?
@rioolput123
A lot of the sound comes from the amplifier, not just the pickups
I'm a les Paul guy but I gotta admit that strat sounds awesome.
What's the riff Phil plays after Day Tripper and Satisfaction? Those 3 go surprisingly well together!
I don't know how the neck plays, but that is one beauty full piece of wood.
Great-looking neck on that guitar!
I really need to learn that free ride song haha i love it
this guy is fkn awesome man!! like 4real! keep the loops for next vids as well!
and also do a an instrumental album your impro jams on the looper are also awesome
That neck looks glorious
every time he plugs into that evil robot... X)!!!! awesome!!!!
I wonder if Phil prefers a 3 way so he can focus on fewer positions or a 5 way to expand his versatility? Innuendo?
@frettedamericana Can you do a video of the hofner bass!
@juanjosebol Beautiful Apartment
April Wine's Roller at 4:00 !!!!

That is a beautiful strat
hey guys, out of curiousity is that the vox tonelab phils using for the looper?
I bet the neck alone is worth more than all of my gear put together! Very similar to the Jaguar strat I have seen before
Gotta LOVE the neck man! \m/
Talking about flame.. what about that FLAME natural finish les paul up in the right corner (4th guitar from the right) at 07:00 can you do a video of that one? :)

He doesn't like loopers but he still kicks ass with it
2 requests for Phil X originals! Can you ask him to do that natural harmonics song and the intro to 'wonderful world'? THANKS! ROCK ON!
The neck on that is beautiful.
Which do you people like better; birds-eye or flame maple necks?
man I love this first part!
Is it sad, that I don't know what those 3 songs were at the end?
this guitar is beautiful
@Lightbulbs33 Dont you think that once i would be done,it would still be one of a kind? The others might look similar but wouldnt be similar ;-)
i had to check my itunes cos i thought another song was on in the background :P
I love your videos
How is the neck? I know figured wood necks have a tendency to warp or bend.
@TheAxelo He just did. Check the last video on the 61 Casino
what was the vid that he had the looper and played war pigs?
@frettedamericana Phil, what kind of picks do u use?
what are the settings you guys usually have on the Vox AC30?
Fantastic guitarist
is there any perticular reason why some guitars are in standard tuning, and some are in E-flat?
just wondering...
@MisterFruitbowl the more figure in maple the weaker the wood, hope that clears it up for you
could you do the Epiphone Wilshire tribute/reissue?
@Wiggin992 What are they?
How do you get that fat strat sound ? Is it the amp or the pickups or somekind of effect pedal ? My strat doesn't sound like that :(
I've no clue why people would never want to hear Free Ride. It's a great riff.
It's like everything John English touched was gold...
beautiful appartment
dude, how it feels to be in a room full of Rare, Expensive and Awesome guitars like Fretted Americana room?
you re the king phil
That loop at the beginning sounds ALOT like Time by Phil Keaggy.
what video editing software do you use?
the Oompa Loopa stuff is crazy man.
Hey Phil I have a question, whats your favorite guitar you've played from this series?
I love Lace Music pickups. Want to hear Lace in metal mode? Search Finger Burners. Great pickups.
THAT is a beautiful pickguard
how did you guys manage to get this??
What song is at 2:52? the one he always plays?
what's the name of the song in the beginning?
This question is for Phil, How did you learn how to play? Did you have a teacher or did you teach yourself? Im trying to teach myself & its slow going, thats why i was wondering. Thank you.
phil can you do some peter frampton?
Id love to own that guitar after a pickguard change and a sand down of the body, painted candy apple red!
