the weather isn’t that unpredictable in the triad(greensboro, winston salem and high point). it isn’t that different compared to most places, especially in the south. the only weather coveat i would specify is, and this is the same anywhere in the south, 1.the heat and humidity 2.thunderstorms in the spring and summer
I’ve been Greensboro for just over 21 years now. Sports teams we have are all minor league but they are: Grasshoppers - Baseball Swarm - Basketball (Hornets affiliate team) Cobras - Arena Football Aggies - College football and basketball We have lots of fall festivals (when it’s not so humid outside) Winter is in February (usually when it snows, it’s in February) Fall is November - January Rainy and tornado season is in September. The tornadoes usually aren’t bad here. We had one bad one several years ago but ordinarily it’s just super windy and rainy. One of the most underrated things about Greensboro is our airport. You can park and be to your gate in 20 minutes or less. The loop that is almost finished is amazing. Traffic is low and gets you from one side of Greensboro to the other in record time. I40 and I85 - both major highways E to W and N to S respectively, run through Greensboro. The fall is beautiful here. The tree turn red and gold and orange and create a picturesque landscape.
@@steveneely1589 those are literally facts. The only one you may be able to dispute is how pretty fall is. And people are moving here in droves because of location and weather.
My concern is about school start age in Greensboro and NC in general. I have a 3 yr old daughter now attending public kindergarten and is loving it. It appears that by moving to Greensboro, she will be at home for about 2 years
@@lynetteselbyrealestate Ok thank you for the information. But please is there cut-off date for enrolment into public Pre-K? My daughter will be 4 in January 2024 and we are moving to Greensboro in August 2023.
Great video! Greensboro, NC have a lot of pros some cons. Love our town! Also, we have surrounding big cities around us with so much to do. Especially during the summertime!
What is the job market like in Greensboro? What are some industries? Is it diverse like Raleigh-Durham Charlotte? How much is a 2 bedroom apartment? Sorry for the many questions lol.
Greensboro has a growing job market, just like Melanie mentioned, Toyota in opening a plant in the area which will create lots of jobs. Don't quote me, but I believe the average pay for those jobs are around 60K per year. I think Greensboro is very diverse, and the average cost for a 2 bedroom apartment could run around 1K per month, but of course that depends of several factors. I hope that helped!😀
I really think you will like it here! Greensboro is a pretty nice place to live. The market is improving slowly, so by the time you move, it may be a great time to buy!
I just moved to Greensboro from Delaware and I having problems trying to find a house or apartment. I keep running into scams and nonsense. Do you have any great pointers?
Hi There! I would definitely recommend working with some reputable property management companies in the area. If you would like a list of some companies, send me an email and I will get a list over to you.
It's about 7% higher than texas. For instance rent for a 3bdrm there in a nice area is about $2-300 more than here in Sugar Land $1627 here), one of our nicest suburbs...but the laws in NC are much more friendly for women, as in we still have rights there so I'm moving there end of June
Hi guys! The giveaway has ended and the winner has been notified. The gift card was sent out in June. I did post a giveaway video however, I received so many fraudulent messages from RUclips viewers, that I had to remove it. Thank you all for entering and be on the lookout for future giveaways! 😊
