If we're talking this current new wave, then it's Aldious, Lovebites, Hanabie, Nemophila. BabyMetal is more like the group that broke down the barriers, not really part of a scene (though others followed like LadyBaby). Band Maid are more hard rock then metal, (yes there is a difference) and frankly I think they should stay that way as their catchier mid-paced stuff is their best stuff. Aldious is listed because they were one of the first to break out and be met with some success. The only issue is that they don't actually have a singer right now... Other than that I would think there are no arguments.
Too much talk about Babymetal, and the girls of Babymetal don't shred... The girl, good reaction, the guy, oh man, shut up, you can talk a bit but this was toooooooo much. Do you know something called "pause"?
All members of Lovebites are classically trained and multi-instrumentalists. They are all around thirty years old. Miyako (black hair/Dean ML guitar) has played classical piano for twenty-nine of her thirty-two years to concert performance standard and the piano is her first instrument. She also plays a mean bass and some drums. She taught herself to play the guitar at eighteen. She was between four to five months pregnant when this video was recorded. Midori (blond/ESP E-II guitar) studied piano and keyboards from the age to two until around twenty when, after dropping out university where she was studying pharmacy, she attended one of the premier music schools in Japan to learn guitar. Haruna (drums) also studied piano from an early age before switching to drums. Miho (bass) started out playing piano before she switched to bass. She also plays guitar and drums. (Unfortunately she left the band last year and Lovebites are in the process of auditioning for a new bass player.) Asami the singer has had vocal coaching and her graceful stage presence is thanks to her studying classical ballet for a decade or so. She also became a mother not longer ago. All members of Lovebites are well-educated, sophisticated women at the top of their game who love to play metal but do not live the rock and roll/metal lifestyle. No drug or alcohol problems, no tattoos or piercings and as they say, just because they play metal, they don’t see why they should sacrifice their femininity, so they wear sylish dresses instead of ripped black t-shirts and jeans like many of their malke counterparts. They are the real deal whatever they wear.
Lovebites has their audio setup to have one guitarist in each ear, so if you don't wear the headphones properly you are missing half the song. Or set it to Mono.
These ladies have played all the major European festivals including Wacken and have toured with DragonForce. They are easily the best female metal band out today and they put most male metal bands to shame as well. Also Miyako, the guitarist playing the Dean was 5 months pregnant when they played this show. It doesn't get more metal than that.
You’ve been treated to some of the best musicianship you’ve seen in a long time. I don’t want to come across as confrontational, but your approach to reacting to videos needs a bit of work. “the Wolfpack” is the nickname for the fan base, because in Japan the band has been nicknamed “the white wolves”. They dress the way they do to make their point, and their lyrics reinforce that. Their sound is pure metal, not any one genre, but they tend towards power metal and thrash. I’m 62 years old and I honestly think they are the most talented band (taking everything about them into account) that I’ve ever seen and heard. Most comments will be respectful, most encouraging. But there will be some who will jump down your throats. And I can understand why, even if I don’t think that kind of comment is helpful. To begin with, you gave the impression, initially, that you weren’t taking the band seriously. For the first half of the track you discussed everything but what you were listening to. Low cut tops, stilettos, musical boxes. In fact you said so much I’m surprised you really heard the majority of the music. They are a breath of fresh air and when the world gets anything like “normal” after Covid, these ladies are going to rule metal, musically speaking. If you knew just how good, consistent, original and skilled they were, as well as being some of the nicest people this genre has ever had, you’d perhaps have paid them a bit more respect. Like I said, not confrontational, just how your reaction came across to this viewer. I watch at least two fresh reactions to Lovebites each and every day. Some better than others. I think you could do this with less condescending chatter about the band you’re reacting to. After all, you want us to come back, and we want you to get to appreciate just what has landed in your lap.
No disrespect intended. I've been a metalhead for going on 40 years now and I've seen all the trends. This is a reaction. That was my first time viewing reaction. Compared to bands like Butcher Babies, Kittie, Taylor Momsen, Drain STH, etc. it was very different style wise. So that was my reaction. As for musicians they are very talented. I love that my favorite Era of metal being thrash is so well represented. We will delve further into their work but understand we react to bands pretty much daily. We see all kinds of musicians. Anything from Limp Bizkit to Polyphia. On a first viewing you have to soak everything in from the music, the video and the individual players. If you want to see what I'm like when I don't care for something, go watch my Lorna Shore and Palaye Royale reactions. I pissed off several fan bases. It's my opinion and it's not always glowing. It's real. But I'm one of billions of opinions. Take them all with a grain of salt.
@@truebrodown So, if a reaction was just about talking and talking and above all, constantly and irritatingly looking at your own reflection in the camera, that would be an excellent reaction. But there is a problem, the best reactions are those of normal people who watch the videos carefully, who have the ability to listen to the music and not just the echo of their own voice, to perhaps make the right comments and not say unimportant things without even stop the video. That's the little problem. You should learn a little from your daughter... Oh, and by the way, you need to hear both sound channels because otherwise you can't even get a good idea of what you're hearing.
Starting out by mocking them, then going on forever about the way they dress, all while having a condescending and almost racist undertone. The replies you've given to some comments here (much more constructive than mine), saying "it's my reaction, take it or leave it" basically. Yeah, hard dislike on your attitude and this reaction. Guess I'm leaving then. Good luck with your channel
@@ChadTheDragonLord 2 months of reactions, he's not a newbie. It's just that his ego prevents him from believing that he may be wrong in the way he acts.
The word "racist" may seem a little heavy, but honestly it came to my mind too. The only thing missing was that he had said: 2slanted eyes? wedding dresses? Japanese girls? There is no way they can play metal2 ... in spite of everything.. "Too bad that these girls know how to play so well, after all they are just Japanese girls". Maybe it would be better if he devoted himself to the reactions of the dog races. He could find many ideas on how the ladies who frequent the dog track are dressed.🤔🤔
Greetings from Germany. The GOD of ROCK moved to Japan many years ago. Now his brother, the GOD of HEAVY METAL, has also moved to Japan. They now live there and have a lot of fun with the Japanese women. You should check out the following bands : LOVEBITES, Nemophila, Band Maid, ArkRoyal, Mary's Blood, Aldious, Asterism, Bridear, Fate Gear, Hagane, Unlucky Morpheus, Mardelas and and and and ... But step by step. You guys started with the best of the best, so I recommend more songs from Lovebites first. They play different styles, but always hard and fast. Thrash Metal + Power Metal + Speed Metal + Metal Ballads S u g g e s t i o n s for next reaction V i d e o : All live !!! The Hammer Of Wrath - Zepp Diver City live 2020 Thunder Vengeance - Zepp Diver City live 2020 Break the Wall - Zepp Diver City live 2020 Shadowmaker - Daughters of the Dawn live 2019 Epilogue - Daughters of the Dawn live 2019 Scream for me - Daughters of the Dawn live 2019 Eagle fly free cover - Awake Again live Studio 2020 Bravehearted - Daughters of the Dawn live 2019 LOVEBITES: Their gimmick is their ability! - The Lovebites motto is: "We're not here to be cute, we're here to be heavy" The white clothes: The Lovebites women say:"We wear these clothes because we are women and because we don't want to look like 90% of metal bands in the last 35 years".
you guys should listen the music carefully for the next reaction.. anyway, thank you for reacting to Lovebites! they will be back with their new bassist very soon..
vous avez raison... je crois d'ailleurs qu'ils n'en avaient rien à faire de la musique... juste pour eux l'occasion de dire des conneries. Surtout le mec avec son petit air "lubrique..."
A bit ironic that the one who "gets it" right off didn't even hear Miyako's (Dean) guitar, (unless you 2 listen in mono, or have the channels flipped. If flipped channels, you won't hear Midori's guitar as the two guitars are always panned to channel corresponding to side-of-stage they have their amp.) We (Wolf-Pack) just want you to hear everything the way LOVEBITES works so hard to write, arrange, perform & record their music.
Welcome to the world of Lovebites - the best all female heavy metal band in the world. Miyako, the guitarist with the Dean rarely shows expression because she focuses on the music to make it perfect. She was also about 4-5 months pregnant during this concert. The bassist lost her father a few years prior and this was one of her last performances before leaving the band. Lovebites is currently in the middle of reviewing auditions for a new bass player. The entire concert was also subdued due to Covid restrictions that did not allow for people to yell or cheer.
I love Miyako's expressionless stage presence - it contrasts perfectly with Midori's exuberate stage presence. They are both smoking hot and are as talented as any metal guitarists playing today.

Break the wall is most Slayer. They play both thrash and powermetal. And more...thats what make them best... And they played with Dragonforce... To me Babymetal is theatre. This is the real deal! They write and they play. And they are real fans ofold school metal. They made a few covers to honor. Helloweens Eagle fly free and Judas Priests Painkiller.
You Gotta see their mv for Break the Wall. (Thunder Vengeance to). Other great bands from Japan: Hanabie, Nemophila, Band Maid, Yousei Teikoku, Asterism, Passcode, and there's so much more. Oh. And the guitarist on the right, Miyako, was in her second trimester of her pregnancy during this performance.
Welcome to Lovebites, the Goddesses of Metal. Lovebites won the Metal Hammer Golden God Award for Best New Band in 2018. All songs are in English. They play everything from just Metal all the way to Thrash Metal. Miyako who played the Dean guitar is a Dean artist and can be seen on Dean's website and she even has her own Dean signature series. More songs to check out would be Shadowmaker, Winds Of Transylvania, Rising, Holy War, Thunder Vengeance, Don't Bite The Dust, or The Crusade Members are: Asami - Vocals Haruna - Drums Miyako - Guitar (Dean) Midori - Guitar (ESP) Miho - Bass (2016-2021) Baby Metal isnt a very good comparison. Unlike Baby Metal, Lovebites write their own material and play their own instruments. In my opinion Baby Metal isnt even metal, it's just Pop with a metal band called the Kami Band that plays somewhere in the background
Babymetal is metal but not a conservative metal. They try new things and every song Babymetal has challenge your mind in one way or other. Yes, You cant compare Babymetal with Lovebites. Japan has more to offer when it comes to refreshing the metal scene and frankly I'm bored of the western metalbands since I discovered the Japanese hardrock/metal/punk scene. Japan with tons of bands coming up, India with Bloodywood, Africa with Arka'n is refreshing the metalscene at least for me. Have listening to metal since the 70:ies and I'm so happy that someone tries to revive the genre.
Ok, I'm subscribing cause I want to see you react to the whole bunch of Japanese all-female rock/metal bands that will blow you away each and every time 🤘🏼🤘🏼

You want more Slayer? Try "Break the Wall" from them. These Ladies are one of the best Metal Band if i ever Heard. The musicianship of each Member is TOP NOTCH!! Oh,and when you want an another Awesome Japanese Female Metal Band, listen to Nemophila. They are also phantastic.
Thank you all for the kind words and for introducing us to this band. We really enjoyed them and plan to dig deeper into their catalog. Keep an eye out for more reactions. Leave your suggestions here so we can figure out the next one to check out! 🤘🤘
Umm…they are *not* ”girls”. When MIYAKO was on ROCK FUJIYAMA, she explained to Marty that Dime Bag Darrel is her #1 influence, and that’s why she plays the Dean guitar.
Wolfpack will come. Want more thrash> Break the Wall live from Zepp DiverCity. To understand Miyako (the stoic guitar player), listen to Sewan Song with Chopin opening live from Five of A Kind - she is the virtuoso of the band, and that's tough to say since all play at elite levels. HAruna the drummer is one of the most powerful engines I have ever listened to. Midori is the pure shredder. Sadly Miho, the bassist, left the band and they are in final stages of choosing a new bassist. And Asami the singer works so perfectly with this metal Lovebites plays. Great reaction and welcome. My favorite song by them is from the Zepp DiverCity concert )I think the best version) - The Awakening/The Hammer of Wrath. Also, their music video for Winds of Transylvania and When Destinies Align are great.
Swan Song live w/ Chopin intro is a cool song . There are 150 female bands in japan. This band has played festivals in Europe and was voted best New Metal Act by Metal Hammer readers
I mean, it's not the girls who are shredding in Babymetal. They only sing and dance. Lovebites are the band. And a damn good one for that matter. Also you mentioned Marty Friedman and he does indeed reside in Japan and even has a music-focused show called Rock Fujiyama. And Lovebites guitarists Miyako and Midori have been on his show, actually. You can find that episode here on RUclips.
@@truebrodown I think "Cold Burrito" was encouraging YOU to LISTEN when the band is playing, so you can comment on what you hear and see. So much happens so fast with LOVEBITES that you will miss alot in every song, IF you are talking instead of listening. I'd be interested in a link to a DF song that sounds anything like the THRASH of this song (because I don't think a DF song like this exists).
@@dregeye That would be pretty boring just watching someone watching a video. The point of a reaction is real time reaction. I'm wearing headphones and hear everything. All songs take a few listens to hear everything. But no one wants to watch people quietly listening to music on repeat. As for DF I learned they toured with them so I don't suppose I was far off. Their solos were very reminiscent of Herman amd Sam. Their rhythms were more Anthrax and Nuclear Assault. Two bands I enjoy a lot.
@@truebrodown we are here for the music and the reaction, but we can't understand anything if you do the talking while the music plays. It's common sense.
@@truebrodown Thanks for replying, though you 'read into' my comment more than 'understood' what I wrote. I didn't say you ought to 'listen quietly' but you implied I did. I specifically mentioned the "THRASH of this song" so you picked out the solos instead (which, agreed, are DF reminiscent, but which you had NOT HEARD at the time you mentioned DF) while ignoring my request for link to DF THRASH. Also, " just watching someone watching a video" can be very revealing of their 'reaction' through body-language & facial expressions (as demonstrated by your companion), and since I have heard all their songs many, many times, I don't mind 'reactors' pausing to comment. I have all their CDs, video disks, and considerable 'merch'. I was here to SEE a visual reaction AND hear commentary about LOVEBITES' song & performance. What you have demonstrated in your comments on-screen and reply to my attempt to assist you are qualities in a 'reactor' that will encourage me to 'pass' on your future LOVEBITES reactions. Honestly, I'm only at 4:22 in your video and your attitude has me questioning whether I will watch the rest of it. Your companion's grasp of the music & enthusiasm (in spite of 1-channel) MIGHT get me to continue...
These ladies are way heavier than Dragonforce . Dragonforce never sounded like Slayer or Megadeth but Lovebites does plus the elements of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Halloween.
I enjoyed the reaction!! But, without using the headphones properly you are literally missing half the song, each guitarist is panned to each side, thats why you couldnt hear the 2nd solo!! Both guitarists Miyako and Midori were recently on Rock Fujiyama with Marty Friedman, same show Gilbert was on. Cheers!
Tengkyu for react lovebites. Welcome to wolfpack. Hi im from indonesia. I subscribe for your reaction. Sorry my english is not good. Next song Edge Of the World and Glory to the World. You've been shock 😎 thanks
Wolfpack is here and everywhere. Wolf is a symbol of Lovebites. Great reaction. Marty Friedman is doing well and just great in Japan ruclips.net/video/MMEXCq6v_5A/видео.html. His Japanese is just incredibly perfect. This concert hall is named as Tokyo Dome City Hall but I don't think it is the city hall of Tokyo. I think it is Tokyo Dome-city hall, not city-hall, though the population in Tokyo is over 12 million. Lovebites got DNA from all the great bands of 80s and 90s. They are influenced by Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Judas Priest, Mega Death, Dragonforce, etc, and also by classic music from romantic era such as Rachmaninov, Chopin, Dovolzark, and Beethoven. And their play style varies quite much. If you like progressive, a beautiful piece A Frozen Serenade ruclips.net/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/видео.html, or soulful Edge of the World ruclips.net/video/UZjxMjBop7w/видео.html. How about one from classic ground, an amazing and jaw dropping performance. Swan Song with Revolutionary Etude ruclips.net/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/видео.html. Great twin leads solos of Shadowmaker ruclips.net/video/wmAKRiG89Qc/видео.html and Today is the Day ruclips.net/video/HfTXuVoLeko/видео.html. One advise for you. Stay away from Bloodstock Open Air live recordings. They had to change their stage at the lase second and missed the chance for setting up. The result was disaster level sound quality and Wolfpack will be upset if you play it.
Marty Friedman has assisted singers in Japan with projects and hosted rock show on TV. Both of these guitarists were on the show. I often see Japanese female bands on the show as guests. Also, foreign rock musicians who come to Japan often appear on the show.☺️
Man of your word, ty TB! They can do it all, thrash, power, prog and ballads. You'll see that if you continue this rabbithole! I get testament from this, Break The Wall is more slayer-ish. I'll say this, you won't see a classier solo than what Miyako (dark-haired virtuoso lead guitar) does with the les Paul...remember, you're listening to a slayer-esqe thrash song (keep that in mind when listening); Midori (blonde lead) on the other hand is just a shredder. Do the latest Break The Wall live version. Also, Miyako was 4mos pregnant during this '21 show...shredding that big ass dean for 2hrs+, pregnant, and in high heels...guys would be crying if they had to do that. 😉 Welcome to LOVEBITES and the wolfpack. 🐺🦊 Break The Wall live ruclips.net/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/видео.html, good thing Slayer retired, makes room for Lovebites in the big 4. 😀
If I ask for recommendations I'm not just saying it for nothing. I try and take all recommendations because there is so much music I haven't heard. I may not like it all, but I give it all a fair shot. Keep them coming!
Now you have heard of them u are in for a big surprise. Best metal band existing on planet earth 🌏 now. Just dig deeper and u will soon find out there awesomeness. Well the bass player is the leader and real metal head of the band but sadly she left the band last August. Glory to Lovebites 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Lead singer is also a classically trained ballerina. And the low cut isn’t as low cut one isn’t as low cut as you think. It has gold cloth inside of the white. And the two guitarists do a Ying/Yang thing, so one does more extroverted persona while the other is the introvert persona. Both are awesome. Also, they have toured with Dragon Force
At the beginning of the reaction, you joked about the WolfPack in vain. Two hours after you posted the video, you have 400 views!!!! This is the WolfPack🐺And this is just the beginning......
Yeah! That was Lovebites and they are awesome. Nice reaction. Of course you need to check out more their songs. I think their main course is Power Metal. You can watch "Holy War" from their official channel - this is another live video from the different concert. Thank you for your reaction and welcome to the Wolfpack. Also, you can check out another Japanese band called BAND-MAID - it is hard-rock band with amazing artists, you will like them (songs "Domination", "Freedom").

Lovebites is absolutely one of the best metal bands out there. I’d like to recommend you to some of my other favorites such as Swan Song (with Chopin intro), Edge Of The World (with subtitles), and Winds Of Transylvania (Vlad Love version). 🎶🔥
I also suggest Nemophila. They just did their 1st US performance at Whisky a Go Go in LA. The blonde Lovebite's guitarist has recently taken up body sculpting bodybuilding and just came in 6th in her 1st competition. The lead singer Asami is an ex-ballet dancer and was an R&B and Soul singer. This is her 1st metal band. She is singing in English but the accent is heavy. The drummer and bass player founded this band , they had previously played together in another all-women metal band Destrose. The venue is a hall for 3,100 people located in Tokyo Dome City which is the area around the Tokyo Dome stadium. Babymetal has performed in the stadium, 50,000 people, two nights in a row.
Not bad first impressions y’all! Female Dragonforce, according to Dragonforce themselves (when toured England). Bassist Miho has since quit music altogether. RBF/Dean-slayer Miyako is actually “showing”, visibly pregnant in this dvd, look again!, blows my mind. Since the quitting/maternity leave, blonde extrovert Midori has become a professional competitive bikini bodybuilder, a natural. Haruna is often called out for her relentless drumming, but it’s in fact quite varied, here the gallops are with her feet!, something even nicko mcbrain doesn’t try (check “holy war” where snare flips from the 1&3 to more rock 2&4, a queensryche/dream theater staple). They do get a lot of comparisons to slayer & megadeth, but I’d go with kill em all & testament. Maiden & priest for some of their catalog, Helloweenish powermetal, and sonata arctica when they go symphonic. Lastly, the ballerina actually does interpretive dance (“frozen serenade”). The accent is rough, but it’s actually 100% English (most Japanese hard rock is about 20% mix n match, some 80% etc), and surprisingly well written and uplifting, go figure… even this one, she does the gates of hell, to, & then rising from… btw, Marty Friedman is not just a citizen, he’s the only ever naturalized citizen to be appointed as cultural ambassador by the Emperor, sooo… 😉💃🎸😎
I thought I heard you say that the bass player looks like she has places to be... she would end up leaving the band a few months after this tour (and she does seem happier now exploring other avenues, but we may never really know why she truly left). The new kid they got on bass, she does have a few solemn moments... but if you see the joy on her face when she's playing in the their new live video for Hammer of Wrath, you'll know they made the right choice!
Yes, this was the last concert for Miho. She had got tired of the music they were playing is the official explanation together with some personal reasons. So, the observation that she wanted to be elsewhere maybe was quite accurate. Now, Miho was never an extrovert. She liked head banging and power stances and playing bass. So, maybe it was overinterpretation. But, it does not matter today. The 30+ year ladies now have a 20 year prodigy on bass and they all seem super happy. Even the shy introvert Miyako is goofing around and smiles - sometimes. Miho and the drummer Haruna are the founders of Lovebites. I hope Miho has a good life. She is a terrific bassist.
@rolandkarlsson7072 As far as musical differences, I think it would be she wanted less keyboards, but she's still a fan of metal and Lovebites... even congratulating Fami on her getting the bass spot. However Miho and Miyako might have had a falling out, as they no longer follow each other on Twitter.
Tokyo Dome City Hall (TDCH) is a sister sporting and concert venue across from the Tokyo Dome all of which are located within the Tokyo Dome City - which is a huge combined entertainment and sporting event complex in Tokyo. It also includes an amusement park. The TDCH is a smaller venue with a capacity of up to 3,100 depending on the seating arrangements. The Tokyo Dome is also a home stadium for the Yomiuri Giants baseball team and is called "The Big Egg". Tokyo Dom has a capacity of up to 55,000.
There are still many other female rock bands in Japan. Recently, a female rock band called trident has been attracting attention. Please listen to it by all means. Is it better to start with spoopy
Welcome to this amazing journey that we are living with the ladies at every listen. "Wolfpack" is the name given to us, the community of Lovebites fans because the wolf is the totem of the band ;-) Nice reaction, you will not stop being surprised reacting to any other song from them, these gorgeous women dressed in white are the best musicians in metal history so far since Iron Maiden, Metallica and Judas Priest. Nothing less. They deliver the best metal songs and performances, as you both just witnessed :-) Greetings from France and the European Wolfpack ;-)
Japan has a lot of cosplay and dressing up, i think their medieval/fantasy dresses is an interesting contrast against the brutal metal they play, you don't have to look like behemoth to be hard 😂
Its a breath of fresh air from a metal bassist that you know SLAYER plays in minor ant they also detune their guitars to get the brooding metal sound , but I agree with her it screams slayer style! Thanks for the amazing content!!!
Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out: Their most recently posted live clips--you just watched “Set the World on Fire” ruclips.net/video/99zsH6iG_6c/видео.html; and “Don’t Bite the Dust” ruclips.net/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/видео.html, which are both from their recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”. "Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ruclips.net/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/видео.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope. Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ruclips.net/video/lXh_uMM94jU/видео.html; “Holy War”: ruclips.net/video/bgAxpEpEcno/видео.html Miyako is also a professional-level concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude”. Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: ruclips.net/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/видео.html. For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” ruclips.net/video/G021aP2ao6Y/видео.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M. For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ruclips.net/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/видео.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both) Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular: "Shadowmaker" ruclips.net/video/Brmoln5Gxus/видео.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world "When Destinies Align" ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html "Glory to the World" ruclips.net/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/видео.html "Winds of Transylvania" ruclips.net/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/видео.html. You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
south parkish, slayer and dragon force all wrong, wrong, and wrong, I am so sick of people always saying the wrong things those bands and any other band don't come close to their caliber and professionalism. Also, before dragon force, there was Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, before slayer there was Metallica and Megadeth, slayer and anthrax were cheap imitation of the creators of thrash metal, and the galloping riff was created back in 1974 by Michael Schenker. Don't compare Lovebites to cheap imitation when they themselves have studied the older bands and were influenced by those older bands, just like everybody else
I forgot to add that there's LOTS of fantastic bands in Japan. Particularly female bands. BRATS, Trident, Scandal, Nemophilia, Gacharic Spin, Tricot, just to name a few.
I mean, there are also tons with male members. They might not get the same attention as the female bands, but most of my favourite Japanese bands are primarily made up of men.
Thanks for the reaction. It always great to meet someone who grew up on the same kind of music. 1st, I am amazed how casually you can pick up things from the song, because I found Lovebites songs are mostly very intricate and they put in a lot more details, compared to what I ve heard in the past. TBH, most of the time, I had to listen the track 10 times to appreciate what each band member is doing, esp the drummer. 2nd, you are spot on - the verse reminds me of Creeping Death, but the riff to me sounds like Battery, may be because I don't listen to Slayer that much. On a side note, 1. outside the US, Flying Vs are because of Micheal Schenker. 2. During their peak years, both J Hetfield and K Hammett were endorsed by ESP, the same company that endorses Midori (the shredder, whose playing style, to me, very much like Kirk Hammet ). Wind of Transylvania music and live videos feature the guitars of my guitar heroes. Midori uses a similar Kirk flying v -but in white, and Miyako uses a similar to M Schenker's .
Well, it seems you’ve just been lovebitten, too. Yes, welcome to the mind-blowing world of Lovebites. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Helloween, Angra, Judas Priest, Dragonforce, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Some people say that they are redefining metal or that they are breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. They really shine in their live performances. I recommend songs from the concerts “Wacken Open Air” (Germany, 2018), “Daughters of the dawn” (2019), “Five of a kind” (2020), “Awakening From The abyss” (studio live, 2020) and “Heavy metal never dies” (2021); avoid “Bloodstock” because audio is not good (not their fault). Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. Miyako is also a concert-level classical pianist. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined Lovebites. In an interview, Miho (ex bassist) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. My next suggestions are “Thunder vengeance”, “Break the wall”, “The Awakening/Hammer of wrath”, “Shadowmaker”, “Holy war”, “Raise some hell”, “Scream for me”, “When destinies align”, “The crusade”, “Frozen serenade”, “Spellbound”, “Don’t bite the dust”, “Winds of Transylvania” (all live). Lineup: Haruna - Drums Miho - Bass, backing vocals Midori - Lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals Miyako - Lead & rhythm guitar, keyboards, classical piano, backing vocals Asami - Lead vocals, some piano Currently the band is in the process to find the new bassist.
As all friends said in comment, these band are phenomenal. Composed almost 50 song and all good. Hard to choose which is the best. React more to experiance it.. wellcome to magical world of heavy metal by Lovebites!! 🤘🤘🤘👍👍🔥💓😀😀

Baby Metal, Lovebites, Band maid, Hagane, Gacharic spin, Nemophila, Aldious, Mary's Blood.. Are you all in for a big suprise.. Lol Japan is where it's at.. So many songs, so little time.. Enjoy.. Best wishes from France..
we are the wolfpack, any and all fans of lovebites, great reaction i will second the motion, break the wall next, for me it starts with metallica and goes to slayer. these ladies can play almost anything. best heavy metal band in the world right now. will definitly become legends
As a member of the wolfpack what I like about the reactors is their emotions and their sincerity that comes out when you first listen to a Lovebites track. Most of them, and I've seen over 600 of them, are blown away by the quality, the musical composition and the stage performance. Indeed Lovebites has the gift of sublimating the metal of the greatest bands of the 80/90s. If the emotion doesn't transpire on the screen, it's for several possible reasons. It could be that the audience doesn't like this kind of metal, or that it feels blazed by other metal vibrations. Some may also be allergic to anything that does not conform to their standards, for example, clothing that is not in the norm. Anyway... when I personally discovered Lovebites I experienced emotions that I hadn't had since my teenage years. This band has the gift of musically resurrecting souls, and keeping their fan base loyal for life. Don't worry if you get a few harsh comments, it happens sometimes. The love this band generates is off the charts so take these with a grain of salt.
There is a good saying: "Treat people the way you want to be treated." People write harsh comments, "the love that this band causes is over the top..." when they see disrespect for band. Smart reactors take criticism without offense, arrogant reactors are skeptical about criticism.
ANNOUNCEMENT! Starting Monday July 11, 2022 we are doing a full week of Japanese metal. Stay tuned for that and help us name the Big 4 of Japanese Metal.

Half of the song you didn't hear because you liked to hear yourself talking more than listening to the music.
Too much talk about Babymetal, and the girls of Babymetal don't shred...
The girl, good reaction, the guy, oh man, shut up, you can talk a bit but this was toooooooo much. Do you know something called "pause"?
It seemed to me that the guy missed almost everything past the ears and eyes. 😊He talked and joked.
Thats true and they're clean ladies and professional.
Lovebites has their audio setup to have one guitarist in each ear, so if you don't wear the headphones properly you are missing half the song. Or set it to Mono.
6:13 the volume is basically the same, maybe its a problem with your right headphone or do you not have it on on the right side hahaha
Miyako did an excellent job of playing the entire concert, which lasted two hours. This says a lot about her professionalism !
She ripped it up! I was impressed.
I noticed that you do not have both headphones on. One guitar is on the left and the other is on the right.
Completely agree with you! Thank you for correctly expressing the thoughts that arose from many of those who watched this reaction!
@@truebrodown It was the manner in which you did it, not your opinion that I took issue with. Many are too polite to say so. I said so, politely.
Well said Alek!
You weren't wearing the right side of your headphones which is why you couldn't hear Miyako's solo LOL
Give the reactor newbies a chance to redeem themselves.
@@ChadTheDragonLord He's not newbie . 🤗From his words. On the channel True Brodown Playlist of 123 reactions.
It is unbearable to see racists react to increase their views.
the dislike is not for lovebites. it’s for the dude here.
Greetings from Germany. The GOD of ROCK moved to Japan many years ago. Now his brother, the GOD of HEAVY METAL, has also moved to Japan. you guys should listen the music carefully for the next reaction..
anyway, thank you for reacting to Lovebites!
they will be back with their new bassist very soon..
vous avez raison... je crois d'ailleurs qu'ils n'en avaient rien à faire de la musique... juste pour eux l'occasion de dire des conneries. Surtout le mec avec son petit air "lubrique..."
Wolfpack of fans are here. Lovebites is phenomenal and they sing in 100% English
A bit ironic that the one who "gets it" right off didn't even hear Miyako's (Dean) guitar, (unless you 2 listen in mono, or have the channels flipped. If flipped channels, you won't hear Midori's guitar as the two guitars are always panned to channel corresponding to side-of-stage they have their amp.)
We (Wolf-Pack) just want you to hear everything the way LOVEBITES works so hard to write, arrange, perform & record their music.
Well said.
That was the reason Miyako was wearing flat soles.
I love Miyako's expressionless stage presence - it contrasts perfectly with Midori's exuberate stage presence. They are both smoking hot and are as talented as any metal guitarists playing today.
🐺🤘 LOVEBITES 🤘🐺 the team of five thrashpower metal godesses.

"WE ARE LOVEBITES AND WE PLAY HEAVYYYY METAAAAL!!!"
Stay safe. Stay Lovebites.
And covering Painkiller is suicide if you're not talented!
Mind is blown! I love that I know about them now. Thanks!!! This is awesome!
They have a VERY passionate fan base.
Difficult to put into words how insanely talented these amazing ladies are.
More songs to check out would be Shadowmaker, Winds Of Transylvania, Rising, Holy War, Thunder Vengeance, Don't Bite The Dust, or The Crusade
Members are:
Asami - Vocals
Haruna - Drums
Miyako - Guitar (Dean)
Midori - Guitar (ESP)
Miho - Bass (2016-2021)
Baby Metal isnt a very good comparison. Unlike Baby Metal, Lovebites write their own material and play their own instruments. In my opinion Baby Metal isnt even metal, it's just Pop with a metal band called the Kami Band that plays somewhere in the background
a little addition. You'd better choose live version than MVs generally.
@@gatograto Oh yes thats true almost forgot lol
@@heavymetalisthelaw1227 Although all the songs with no MV or LIVE are equally 'worthy' of hearing, and the imagination can 'fill in the visuals' ...
@@dregeye Absolutely right. for some people its personal preference
As you cited Slayer, try with “Break the Wall” ruclips.net/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/видео.html And welcome to the Wolfpack! 🐺🤘🏻
Ok, I'm subscribing cause I want to see you react to the whole bunch of Japanese all-female rock/metal bands that will blow you away each and every time 🤘🏼🤘🏼
LOVEBITES - Set The World On Fire lyrics:
The blue moon colors the blaze
Stabbing myself with the thunder
The predetermined imitation
An emotionless and a fearless smile
Flowing blood and crimson blade
Devastated resolution
Heat haze is waving far away
Who’s going to be sacrificed?
ON FIRE
Just like a falling flower
ON FIRE
Until this body rots away
Burning down to the Gates of Hell
Distorted madness is sneering
Incompetent, cowardly fools
A pitiful and painful punishment
It’s you who will be sacrificed
ON FIRE
Dressed in an armor of steel
ON FIRE
If I’m burned again and again
I’ll rise up from the Gates of Hell
The blue moon colors blaze
Stabbing myself with the thunder
The predetermined imitation
An emotionless and fearless smile
Flowing blood and crimson blade
Devastated resolution
Heat haze is waving far away
Who’s going to be sacrificed?
ON FIRE
Just like a falling flower
ON FIRE
Until this body rots away
Burning down to the Gates of Hell

@@truebrodown Awakening/Hammer of Wrath or Break the Wall both live from Zepp Diver City
Here for my daily Lovebites fix 🐺
Also, their music video for Winds of Transylvania and When Destinies Align are great.
wolfpack is here, wolfpack is all over the world, for wolfpack
LOVEBITES is the best band on the planet! 😎🐺🤘💖
HE IS A RACIST THAT CALLS LOVEBITES GARBAGE IN HIS NEXT REACTION. CALL OUT THE TRUE WOLFPACK TO SEE.
This band has no peer! You guys need to get out of the house more often. You have no idea.
Japan picked up metal and dusted it off where america left in mud over a decade ago. Lovebites is the real deal. Amazing reaction.
Swan Song live w/ Chopin intro is a cool song . There are 150 female bands in japan. This band has played festivals in Europe and was voted best New Metal Act by Metal Hammer readers
Best band on the planet ..... achievement complete.
I'm Wolfpack from Japan🎌 Welcome to Lovebites world!
While you were talking we were listening to the music. Please try to do the same or use the pause button.
Just go watch the video then. In the time it took to post this reply you could have searched for the original video. Thank you for your understanding.
Cheers!
That was the Bass player's last gig. She left the band citing personal trauma issues after losing her dad and wanting to stay close to home.
You could tell she was over it. That's sad for her. I hope she's doing better.

Break The Wall live ruclips.net/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/видео.html, good thing Slayer retired, makes room for Lovebites in the big 4. 😀
If I ask for recommendations I'm not just saying it for nothing. I try and take all recommendations because there is so much music I haven't heard. I may not like it all, but I give it all a fair shot. Keep them coming!

This one might be fun - LOVEBITES - Swan Song [+Chopin Intro]
The accent is rough, but it’s actually 100% English (most Japanese hard rock is about 20% mix n match, some 80% etc), and surprisingly well written and uplifting, go figure… even this one, she does the gates of hell, to, & then rising from…
btw, Marty Friedman is not just a citizen, he’s the only ever naturalized citizen to be appointed as cultural ambassador by the Emperor, sooo… 😉💃🎸😎
Hi Tim. It appears Miho is still active. In fact she is performing at an event this Sunday (7/10) according to her twitter account..
@@Kevin-jb5ok thank god

Listen to their songs Winds of Transylvania and When Destinies Align if you want to see them crank up the horsepower. Buckle up and hold on and enjoy.
Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981).
As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out:
Their most recently posted live clips--you just watched “Set the World on Fire” ruclips.net/video/99zsH6iG_6c/видео.html; and “Don’t Bite the Dust” ruclips.net/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/видео.html, which are both from their recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”.
"Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ruclips.net/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/видео.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope.
Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ruclips.net/video/lXh_uMM94jU/видео.html;
“Holy War”: ruclips.net/video/bgAxpEpEcno/видео.html
Miyako is also a professional-level concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ruclips.net/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/видео.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular:
"Shadowmaker" ruclips.net/video/Brmoln5Gxus/видео.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world
"When Destinies Align" ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html
"Glory to the World" ruclips.net/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/видео.html
"Winds of Transylvania" ruclips.net/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/видео.html.
Wolfpack reporting!
@@cepho8349 of course! There are some great ones. Polkadot Stingray, Glim Spanky, the Pillows, Winnie, all worth checking out.
Did you think any female band in the state play better than them?
Lineup:
Haruna - Drums
Miho - Bass, backing vocals
Midori - Lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals
Miyako - Lead & rhythm guitar, keyboards, classical piano, backing vocals
Asami - Lead vocals, some piano
Currently the band is in the process to find the new bassist.

We just reacted to it last night. Should be out Monday!
