@@XHUMBITO1 as far as I know one of the major reasons is cosmetic. Some Women believe that their vagina will be ruined forever and just don't want to go through labor. On the other hand there is a culture that the doctors engage in where they don't want to wait around for a natural birth to wrap up and they encourage women to get c-sections almost to the point where it may feel like coercion.
