I teared up a little when John McCabe’s father was asked how old John was the day he died, and he immediately recited it down to the weeks. That’s a man tormented by his loss. And his mother, not even being able to spend John’s money….

My mother's murderer was sentenced to 28 years for killing her and my unborn brother. She was 7 months pregnant. He was supposed to get out last year. He died of TB 2 years before his release. And honestly I lived in fear he would come after me and my sister until then.

Many many years ago even before the internet back in the days of the phone booths I can remember reading a book that at the time seemed a bit frightening perhaps from the way it was written and describing a futuristic account of things to come, while it touched on government it covered many topics and gave examples of things to come in the near future, I believe the name of the book was called "Big Brother" or "Big brother is watching," and today like in the book described we have cameras everywhere, as I listened to this evil heartbreaking story about Cassandra I had quick thoughts about that book and thought how back then it seemed so controlled and some people today may feel or see it that way but they serve a great purpose on the positive side and in this case essential to authorities, I thought that the cameras that caught Dudley in his fedora and disguise carrying that bag and being able to track and see his truck amd track his movements how it proved to be very helpful and a very important part in assisting authorities in catching this cunning killer, his phone being tracked as well, the technology we have available today may be seen in part some negative and some good by people perhaps but overall still helpful in many ways cars and were essential in helping solve this case and exposing this evil individual and even though heartbreaking and unbearable bringing some type of justice and closure for Cassandra's family.

Especially with jurors today. Getting arrested is all they need and you're guilty. It's why so many innocent people are in prison today. People just do not have enough intelligence or common sense, especially in real world life. They live in a room on their computer or cellphone. Look at the difference between how we lived back in 69 in the story about John. We created things from our imagination. I was in the woods at 8 with a machete, hatchet, making trails for us to ride on. We left our houses just after 8 am and often didn't return till dusk, except lunch somewhere.

This is by far one of the most senseless awful murders of a teen ( all murders are AWFUL ) but this poor family , the mothers guilt with knowing she allowed him to go that night , which she should not feel but as a Mother that’s what we do I am so very saddened by this , may Bill McCabe & his beautiful son rest in peace & I hope are somehow together ❤❤.

100% agree. Here's an additional tidbit they didn't mention; according to the forensic report (public records), Kassanndra was also repeatedly stabbed. Hypothetically, what if she was knocked out and laid on the couch (where it says the cadaver dogs alerted), until later, when the gf got home. After all, the gf's FB was filled with her whining about how he wouldn't marry her, and wouldn't have a baby with her. Hypothetically, what if an old rival accidentally gets pregnant by the guy who wouldn't give you what you wanted? Sounds like a chick who'd have a lot of rage. And stabbing someone multiple times in the abdomen, where the offending fetus was growing, seems like a female ragey kind of thing to do, right? Hypothetically, of course.

It's also (hypothetically), possible she was only unconscious, tied up on the couch (where the dogs "hit" but no blood was found), until the gf got home. It's a mental health experts' opinion that multiple stab wound to the abdomen (where the unborn baby would be), indicates very specific aggression, and it didn't happen on the couch, and (apparently), wasn't what killed her.

About the John McCabe murder.........I feel so badly for his parents, especially his Mother😢. As a Mother, I know you jus automatically blame yourself for anything that happens to your children. And that “guilt” has never left her over decades.
The only thing I could say, is that I would’ve never permitted my son or daughter to hitchhike (or maybe he was just walking) to a party or dance. The couple that picked him up on the way to the dance we’re just being “kind”, right? But something smells funny about that whole story, because the guy who picked him up was one of the ones that killed John!?! They said they “dropped him off at the corner”, thus leading one to believe It must have happened either after the dance or there were “words” between John and someone who did not like him at all, and “took it outside”. (After watching the whole video, I see the boys went to the dance and attacked him, got him in the car, and that was it. So both the “helpful, kind” friends who gave him a ride? Nahhhhh. No good.
These boys and girls made a PACT never ever to tell what happened or who did it. That never works, kids!
Back in 1969, I was 14, and I remember that very few people thought it was unsafe to get in a car with someone who offered you a ride. I used to walk about 3 miles to the shopping center, our group’s little hang-out. And I did take rides, but only from someone I knew. That doesn’t work anymore, either. And teens, listen! It’s not worth hurting someone over a girl who won’t be in your life at all in about 6 months to a year! Teenagers (especially girls) are fickle. Don’t forget it. It’s not worth anyone’s life! Not yours, ending up in prison forever, or the accused, killed so early for a little flirtation.
A very sad story.......I don’t know if his parents are still alive, but I will be praying for this poor family, in Jesus’s Name, Amen. 🕊🙏♥️✝️🙋‍♀️💕💜🕎🌹
