I've heard the argument for 3+ vs 4+ BS is due to the Elite points mechanic.
Either way, somebody online broke dowm the math, and running IG as two fire teams of Tempestus Scions, with their 3+ BS, are more consistent shooters than Kasrkin.
TS don't get sharpshooters or stuff like medics/demolitions, but two fire teams allows you to bring Plasma, Melta, Grenade Launcher, and Hot-Shot Volley all together.
It would be real nice if we could buy a box of them . They've been sold out for months. 😢

So, I actually legitimately can't remember what I did to paint these :/
I think it was a simple space wolf grey contrast for the cloth, basilicanum grey contrast for the armour... But maybe I sprayed them grey... I don't know
What did you use to make the base grids?
These are called something like "sewing grids" off Amazon.

The 4+ confused me, especially coming from 3rd edition. They nerfed my Kasrkin and I don't like it
