I believe the reason dogs look at their owners when they poop is because that’s when they are at their most vulnerable (could easily be attacked if they’re in the wild) so they look at their guardians to make sure everything is okay.

I noticed this with my pup while he was eating as well. Very vulnerable but acknowledgement and reassurance makes it easier for them

It’s been confirmed that 3 Necronomicons exist in the “Evil Dead” universe as Ash holds the most powerful, one in the Evil Dead 2013 reboot and the last one in Evil Dead Rise which the last 2 are not completely explained on how powerful they are.
P.S. The little girl Nell Fisher who played as “Kassie” (if I remember correctly) actually agreed to do the scene when the elevator filled up with blood and she was fine.
I saw a behind the scenes where the daughter said she had the most fun doing the elevator scene! Everyone in this movie was amazing, the mom's physical gymnastic skills working with the FX was over the top.

The guy that plays Ash (Bruce Campbell) actually makes a voice cameo when someone is listening to the records. He’s the one that says “destroy it, it’s called the book of the dead for a reason!” and the director even said it could be Ash stuck in the past again since all the movies including the 2013 movie are connected.
Well, Lee Cronin is a bit confused about Evil Dead continuity, so... I'll have to forgive him for those transgressions. Unless I'm to assume that Fede Álvarez' statements about his own film are incorrect and that it's not a sequel to the original film in a universe where ED2, AoD, and AvED didn't happen.
Though this is a problem I've had with Lee ever since he made the statement about the three books being the ones from Sam's films, Fede's film, and his film. It just doesn't work if you take Fede's statements as equally correct.
Hell, the events of Rise can't even work in continuity with the original trilogy and the show due to certain events at the end of the show regarding a certain monster and the US military trying to shoot it to death.
@@DarthTingleBinks I mean the Evil Dead movies already had continuity problems but that was mostly due to the studios. First movie was about four friends then in the sequel it just turned into just Ash and his girlfriend, then in army of darkness they changed what happened in at the end of 2. All 3 books you seen in Rami’s, Alvarez’s , and Cronin’s film are the 3 different necronomicons in army of darkness.
@@deadshot7062 If they retcon it, they retcon it. I don't care. It just feels weird that they would retcon it despite Fede being VERY clear about what his film was and which version of the book he used in it.
The retcons all over the original trilogy don't bother me as much because they're just issues with production. They can't get all the actors' schedules to line, they run out of money, they can't use footage from previous films. Or in the case Army of Darkness they both reuse footage AND reshoot scenes in different rooms (Ash cutting off his hand was originally in the kitchen but is shown in the living room in AoD). None of that bothers me. Especially because the show pokes fun at all of it when Ash gets confused as to where he originally found the book. And considering AoD is canonically told by Ash to his coworkers, it's not surprising he'd get stuff wrong or embellish some of the details.
With the conflicting statements of Fede Álvarez and Lee Cronin, however, it's something entirely different. It's information that isn't in the films, but is meant to be taken just as literally until something comes along and contradicts it.
But yeah, Evil Dead continuity is VERY convoluted. People give X-Men a bad rap (and it's not the greatest or the clearest of continuities), but compared to Evil Dead, X-Men is like a gift from the gods.
The theme of the 2013s Evil Dead was recovery from drug addiction.
The main character - Mia - was haunted by her own inability and weakness.
Everytime the deamon presented itself to her, it copied Mia's appearance. As if it would be a perverted kind of a reflection in the mirror.
Mia had to face her inner deamon: the addiction.
Evil Dead Rise took quite a different approach. This time the main theme was about the family. At the end, the deamon used the different corpses to form the most evil form of a family. One giant evil abomination.
When a dog is taking a shit it is in its most vulnerable. The dogs looking at you to see if you are protecting it. It’s a safety thing

The entity pulling out her earring might seem unnecessary or superfluous at first glance, but inflicting pain - both physical and mental, weakens the demon's target for possession, and allows them to be taken over more easily and with a stronger hold afterward.
So even if the host is physically damaged, after possession they're driven by pure demonic power, so the physical damage endured by the host is largely irrelevant.

the beginning at the lake was actually what happened after the events of the movie. then the final scene with the lake girls shows how the book/evil gets to the lake. so kind of a prequel to the evil dead with how the evil gets out to the cabin.

According to evil dead lore, there are three evil books. Book one Bruce Campbell dealt with, the second was the 2013 evil dead, evil dead rise is the third book, so technically, this is a sequel
When I first watched this movie I made the foolish decision to eat some milk and Oreos while I watched. I thought “hey I’m a big kid, horror movies NEVER make ME sick.” At some point I dropped an Oreo in my cup. Forgot about it until the middle of the film. Cut to me downing the last of my drink right as the girl hocks up the black twitching goo ball. The mushy Oreo hit my mouth and I gagged so hard I launched it fully across the room. It was astounding. I was like a human Nerf gun. It fully cleared the room and hit the wall across from me. I have never been so shocked with myself in my entire life. Had no idea I was capable of such a thing. I will never in my life eat during a horror film again.

You guys should really check out the Ash versus the Evil Dead series. It's three seasons with 10 a season and each episode is around the 30 minute. Is the funniest bloodiest grossest show I ever seen.

I’ve always thought that the Necronomicon has a luring ability that draws a victim to open it, overriding their natural aversion to danger. Otherwise nobody would ever actually touch it. Danny seems almost in a trance until he tries to stop the record playing the incantation.
