I remember skipping school to see this in the theater when it came out, and then going back that night to watch Freddy vs Jason. Those were fun days.

I was 8 years old when this came out I loved watching this one probably shouldn’t have been watching this or the first one at such a young age but this stuff never scared me I loved horror films even at a young age lol and my parents were pretty cool with letting me watch just about anything. It sucks cuz I love these first 2 movies but I don’t like the director cuz they said he was a pedophile I believe or something like that so disgusting. But yeah….

A little bit of fun facts about the Creeper from the comics:
1. The Creeper's weapons are enchanted, which is why that knife the father found in the beginning flew off his hand. It was trying to come back to the Creeper. This gave him the idea to make it into a harpoon that will guarantee to hit the Creeper because of the enchantment.
2. The victims are forever connected to the Creeper spiritually, and they can also make contact with the living to warn them which is why Darry and that boy appeared to the blonde girl when the Creeper was about to attack again. Whoever it eats becomes a part of it, literally and spiritually.
3. The Creeper can replace any body parts but it seems the web thing on the back of its head is irreplaceable. This suggests that the "main body" of the Creeper so to speak, is that thing.

This film is so underrated. A group of high school kids who actually act like they’re in high school, they aren’t horny all the time and they’re actually active in the story and actually fight to survive. Also the field chase scene and school bus attack scenes are classic!!!!
Very underrated. The first one is great and I love this one just as much. Showed more of the Creeper and how he works and hunts. Far better than I was expecting.

Yeah that's true. For a long time Hollywood aged up high school to the extreme. Billy and Stu in Scream were older than 26. Rizzo from Grease was like 35 or something. lol

@@SS4Luxray Was just reading an article about why casting directors choose older. Apparently it's mostly about lack of work restrictions, and how older actors are easier and cheaper to insure. Also it's better for capturing both a younger and older demographic with their maturity and dedication to the job. A lot of younger actors drop out of the business entirely before truly committing to it.
In all seriousness, this film scared the crap out of me when I was a kid...However, the makeup that they do on Jonathan Breck (the Creeper) is absolutely amazing
The pretty blond hair girl is Nicki Aycox she passed away in 2022 from leukemia! She was beautiful very talented and still had so much to give I was very sad when I heard she passed!!! 💔

Some facts
1. Victor Salva wrote the "Every 23 years for 23 days it gets to eat" rule in Jeepers Creepers (2001) so there would be no sequel unless the movie was set in the future and he knew the studio wouldn't want that. However Francis Ford Coppola found an easy loophol set it during the same 23 days as the first movie. So this movie is set on the 23rd day for the purpose of not making another sequel.
2. After the students abandon the bus and run away from the Creeper some of the teens were to originally stumble upon an abandoned military bunker with a similar set up as the church from the first film. There they'd stumble across the Creeper who is in the middle of eating the dead body of an athlete. This scene was story-boarded and the set was even completely finished but the scene was ultimately not shot.
3. On the set Victor Salva referred to the school bus as the "Creeper's Lunch Box"
4. Originally Trish and Jezelle from the first Jeepers Creepers (2001) film would hunt down The Creeper for the sequel while a school bus full of teens terrorized by The Creeper was just a subplot. But the more Victor Salva worked on the script the more the bus plot became more interesting. So he decided to scrap Trish and Jezelle and concentrate the film on the bus instead.
5. Nicki Aycox (Minxie) guest starred in a Supernatural (2005) episode entitled Scarecrow (2006). The episode featured a creature very similar to The Creeper who also pretended to be a scarecrow to attack victims.
6. At around 11 mins the bus radio states a report of a church fire four days ago. This would reference the first movie where the church was placed on fire in an attempt to burn evidence.
7. The station wagon that Taggart Sr. finds with the roof peeled back has a bumper sticker that reads "I'm not a complete idiot some parts are missing." A reference to the fact that the Creeper eats parts of people to replace parts on his own body.
8. Taggart Sr. stabbed the Creeper's chest 34 times for the loss of his son before the Creeper wailed and yielded into submission. He ended his 35th strike using his handmade harpoon that was lodged in the Creeper's head.
9. Lena Cardwell initially refused to smoke with the other cheerleaders she was eventually convinced to do so by the producers but in the final footage you can see her look of disgust after smoking
10. One of the reasons why The Creeper did not want to murder the cheerleaders is that Victor Salva did not want to overuse the monster cliché of capturing women. But he still wanted The Creeper to capture the host Betty because the absence of all adults would make teen survival more interesting.
11. The reason Big K is taking so long during the bathroom break is explained in a deleted scene. According to Big K he gets horny from the vibration of the bus in motion, so he is manually trying to achieve a climax in order to relax.
12. In Victor Salva's Poho county blog he stated that he initially wanted Justin Long to record Darry's scenes completely naked and made up as if he had no eyes. Long initially accepted the proposal although later it was decided to film the scenes of Darry in a shirt something that according to Salva had relieved Justin Long.
13. The director is convincted pedophile in 1988 Salva was convicted of sexual misconduct with one of Clownhouse's underage stars who was 12 years old at the time and videotaping one of the encounters in which he forced the victim to perform oral sex on him. Commercial videotapes and magazines containing child pornography were also found in his home. Salva pleaded guilty to lewd and lascivious conduct oral sex with a person under fourteen and procuring a child for pornography. He was sentenced to three years in state prison, of which he served 15 months, and lifetime registration as a sex offender. He completed his parole in 1992 and it wasnt known till years later the director was pedophile this caused third film to be in development hell and when third film finally came out it only got one day release because of the directors past actions. So when you go back and watch jeepers creepers 2 the creeper licking the window makes its even more creepy and disgusting that the director basically wrote himself as the Creeper living his fantasy.
Two spoilers for you
1. in the Jeepers Creepers comics the Creeper's evil goes back millennia demanding Human Sacrifice and having wiped out the Roanoke colony. The Creeper relishes tormenting its victims physically or mentally and shows no care at its actions once accidentally causing an entire town to be destroyed. In present the Creeper takes its victims and sews them into a hideous patchwork in its lair that it dubs the House of Pain with some victims still alive when they join the tableau of hundreds of victims. The Creeper regularly slaughters all in its path target or not and demonstrates utter sadistic relish in every evil it commits.
2. The director on dvd special features confirms that the creeper was in fact human and he was cursed to crave human parts since director was asked what is the Creeper debunking that he's not a demon or fallen angel

Fun Fact: Originally this was supposed to follow Trish on the hunt for the Creeper instead of the Father. But the school bus was still caught in the middle but more in the background in comparison. But the director felt like keeping the bus in center of the plot and for some reason cut Trish out intent use her "later".

The actual “creeper” is that alien looking thing that comes out from the back of his head. The flesh and body parts are that of victims.
The first one was a lot scarier but this one definitely holds up as a sequel

the reason we didn’t see the lair was because if you guys listened earlier, the father hears about the abandoned church (where his lair is) being burned down right during the events of the first film where they found 300+ corpses. The Creeper was trying to destroy any form of evidence of himself before he went into his resting period.
He still had a new lair where he was keeping bodies in. At the end of part 1 it shows him at his new place skinning Darry
If you read the script to the original jeepers creepers cathedral draft there's actually an entrance to a larger part of an underground mine underneath that church that had 1000s more bodies the size of a football field and a body chandelier in the center where he also placed kids from the bus

A very underrated sequel. It was believable, the characters were all very different and they had realistic and challenging moments throughout the film. The pacing was excellent and the story wasted no time giving us the goods but was still able to build up the characters in a very short period. The Creeper is such an awesome villain, he is terrifying but also has a personality, even a sense of humour which makes him more menacing. I find that JC 1 & 2 are a great throwback to nostalgic slasher/horror films while still maintaining a fresh perspective. Great reaction.

The one after this should’ve focused on Darry’s sisters revenge against the creeper. Maybe teaming up with the dad and bro from the second one as well as the psychic lady from the first. The ones after this film were atrocious.

The one positive about the 3rd was getting more lore on the creeper but that’s it then the reboot completely changes everything about the creeper and it’s so freaking bad it actually pisses me off

Probably the only movie we ever left the theater actually scared from. My buddies and myself kept looking up into the night sky on the way to the car. A great movie and another great reaction from Ash and Han.
I'll never forget my mama coming home with a VCR labeled "Jeepers Creepers" I was in the kitchen watching "The Land Before Time" for the millionth time and Mom said "baby turn that off, you gotta watch this, you're gonna love it" I'm so glad she introduced me to this. I sat in the dark and watched it all by myself. Second one is my favorite tho.

The actor who played the creeper was in my city for a meet and greet one day. Growing up me and my dad (especially my dad) loved this movie. It was something he has never seen before thought it was cool lmao
So I told him after he got off work I have a surprise for him. I took him to go meet the actor and it was the greatest feeling to see my dad get very excited. I had to take him because it was one of those movies we randomly watched and bonded/talked about together cause it was a wild movie lol

I remember watching this film on TV with my family when I was a kid, it really scared me. I just watched the first one more than 10 years later. Suggestions: Zodiac (2007), Falling Down (1993), District 9 (2009), Hostel (2005), Mystic River (2003).
The makeup job on the creeper is AMAZING!
Watch the deleted scene when she had a vision of Darry(the brother from first movie) he explained to her in that vision in depth how long the creeper has been around and what it is. I hate that they took that full scene out. Great movie anyway.

People who like the first one more appreciate a full movie aka a story! Having a beginning and lots of the stuff in the middle & a fantastic ending (which Hannah hated, but I loved it). People who prefer the 2nd just enjoy action movies because that's all it was, so really it matters what your in the mood for. I've always liked the first one more and it had comedy aka closing the door picking up the head and opening the door and throwing it in (which kills me everytime lol)
I watched this movie for the first time when I was like 6 in 2007. I still have nightmares to this day sometimes about the creeper lol

I agree with ash the first film is objectively better but this is such a fun sequel. I did miss the creeper having the giant battle axe which I had always assumed the he got from a later time period cause in this one it seems that all his weapons are homemade which is cool too but I just like the idea of the creeper getting his weapons from an ancient Viking or something
I feel, if you’re trying to follow up a great horror movie, making the sequel a great action/horror movie is a pretty good formula. This one, Alien and Aliens, Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead, Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2. Set up the monster/threat in the first film, and show people standing up to that threat in the second.
I personally believe the first one is the best, but cant wait to see you guy’s reaction to the 2nd

We watched the making of this on DVD years ago and on the jumping bit near the end the actor playing Creeper was on a bungee cord
the throwing star thing that was in the tyer was soldered together with peoples fillings that he killed and collected, it is why it has the tooth in it. also i don't know why after so called killing it that they just hung it up to wait for it to revive 23 years later, i would of dumped its corpse in a meat grinder/ wood chipper and turned it to paste. then locked that paste up in a metal welded shut box and thrown it in to the ocean off a boat.

17:31 - Hannah the Creeper ate Darry's eyes because his vision was deteriorating...if you remember in the first film his eyes were really grey so he wanted Darry for his eyes...and Trish was nibbling on a pair of glasses at the start of JC1 which hints at her having impaired eyesight which is why the Creeper didn't choose her!
Woah...you guys unlocked some memories with that song at the beginning. So weird. That was on my first Ipod ever and got cycled through like a hundred plus times. But totally forgot about it. When you approach 40 whole year and a half periods start dropping from memory. Kind of scary. But that ones going back in the rotation. 🎶🎶🎶

My dream went like this...instead of Billy approaching the Creeper and his claws twitching...Billy was stood staring at the Creeper...the Creeper then simply hops off the post and, head down so we can't fully see his face, begins pacing towards Billy and Billy is so petrified he's frozen stiff and cannot move! Once the Creeper reaches Billy he simply puts a hand on his shoulder, turns him around and begins walking away with him! Yes my version isn't Holywood BUT the way he jumped down off his post and paced towards Billy was BONE CHILLING!
4:20 - I will die on this hill! THIS IS THE MOST CREEPIEST AND SPINE-CHILLING MOMENT EVER IN ANY HORROR MOVIE!!! 😁
I think one thing that would've been better is the head regeneration scene. I think it would have been better if you just had the head for a little while and slowly over time it turns back into the head he had before. Like in the first one he needed new legs so he went and got some new legs. And this one he has like talons for feet. But in the first one there's a shot where he has regular human legs. I think the idea of the regeneration takes a a while to take hold rather than instantly is way more interesting.

also if you look closely the actual creature is just the thing with spiders legs that runs down it's spin and back of the head, it reaches down inside of the body and pulls the head up from the stomach so the body of it is just being puppeteered by the things that looks like the face sucker from alien.

5:56 - Ash I don't know if you've seen the alternative ending of JC1 - We hear Darry screaming in the distance as we go into the Creeper's lair and we hear Darry's blood-curdling screams as the Creeper rips him open! It literally sounds like someone being tortured in hell!

31:51 - a man who doesn't get praised enough is Jonathan Breck (The Creeper) ... the way he's able to stare and glare with no emotion and with cold blood and PURE EVIL in his eyes in these films is masterful! I don't know how he does it! He's been terrifying me for about 20 years now! 😢😅

My older brother was babysitting us younger ones and he’s a bit of an annoying prankster lol and when we were going to bed we asked him to tell us a scary story and he told us this story and even sang the jeepers creepers song which kept making us laugh lol we were screaming and everything, it was so much fun and the next day we went to blockbuster and got the movie and watched together lol still my favorite scary movie just for that.

While "...assholes and elbows..." is an older saying, this film is quoting it from the movie, "Aliens" when Apone says it to his team.
