@@hughjorg4008 Whatever the exact plot of The Equalizer is (it's been a while so my memory is rusty), it's got some great "revenge" action! That much I remember! I posted a comment recommending The Equalizer, and its sequel, plus Peppermint, Death Wish (the remake w Bruce Willis, not the Charles Bronson classics), and a little franchise called I Spit On Your Grave.
I do like that and it is iconic but I think I still prefer Denzel's line in Equalizer 2. "I'm gonna kill each and every one of you, and the only disappointment is I only get to do it once".
When my daughter was 14 or 15 she was invited to go out of the country on a cruise with her best friend's family. They were good, responsible people but I still panicked. My husband and I decided we didn't want to let our panic stop her from having a special life experience. She would be with trustworthy people. We made her watch Taken with us before her trip. At the end of the movie, she was silent with tears streaming down her face. My husband who was a very fit, military trained expert marksman, dead pan looked her in the eye and said "And I'm not Liam Neesen. I can't do any of that." Our daughter was officially traumatized. Now she is 25. I recently apologized for traumatizing her. She told me "I might have been traumatized but I never wandered away from our group, I never spoke to any strangers and I was always aware of my surroundings. We all had a great time and we were safe." So, the moral of the story is, sometimes it's okay to traumatize your children. Just kidding 😆... mostly.

A guy was stabbed there and it was all over the local paper.. my mum said "maybe you should go there so much" but I did! And here we are 30 years later, never stabbed or assaulted yet full of good memories of not having crazy parents 😂
You didn't "traumatize" her! You gave her a reality check that may have saved her life. When I was just 5 my mother showed me a photo in the paper of a mild-mannered-looking man named BURTON ABBOTT who had killed/kidnapped a young girl. She told me: Most people are good. Some are bad. And you can't tell by looking! I never ever forgot that and I am so grateful she taught me that.
Liam Neeson took up this role because of the opportunity to spend four months living in Paris, learning martial arts. Loved when he got revenge on the scum bags who took her.
My absolute favourite part is when Liam Neeson enters the building where all the “Marcos” are located and counts in his mind how many men there are in the building so he’s prepared for how many he has to kill AND how he makes/listens to each one of them talk to find the match to the voice on the phone. The little things make this movie amazing!
I like that they caught on to the jacket the jacket symbolizes. At 17 you think you're so grown but you don't realize you were actually still very much still a child and it is that innocence that is he is trying to protect and save

I love how Hannah was struggling to watch the torture scene and you were so excited. As the dad to a daughter (And a horror writer), though, you're spot-on. There are no lines and nothing I wouldn't do and, while Taken was definitely a PG-13 rendition, I think it did a really good job of getting more attention on the billion-dollar trafficking industry.

I saw this movie in theatre when I was 17, a week before going on a class trip to Italy. Anytime I wondered off with my friends for free time, my mind was constantly on for any Taken moments.
The film that turned Liam Neeson from a great drama actor to a tough action movie star. And what a transformation! Guys, although I highly recommend going ahead with this saga and finishing the trilogy. I recommend you keep watching Neeson kick ass with "Non Stop" and "Run all Night"
That was great. Thank you. Although there isn't a real back story to his separation, you get to see his character develop in the first few scenes regarding his daughter and it's easy to develop empathy and warmth toward him as a doting father, more so because we quickly see that he's not a weird loner but has buddies and something of a social life too. And the fight scenes are great because even though he's skilled in what he does professionally, he is vulnerable and can get injured as we see when he first boards the boat and following the jump and first fight we see him hurt and limping. It's the details that make movies like this great, and off course he is a pretty great actor.
Ash, i love your solo reactions, but your reactions with her are unrealistically Hilarious! You two are awesome, thanks for this one you guys. Liam Neeson in this movie can practically John Wick's big bro.
This reinvigorated Liam Nelson's career and made him a household name after his initial 90s career... now literally google how many action movies he has been in since? This was the "first one" in his bright age, that gave him such a run in action films
“Like imagine if that was our daughter-if we had one 🥺🥺” 10:45 so sweet! But yes, prepare yourself guys. What ppl say about movies hitting harder after you’ve had kids, 100% true, I can’t even watch some things I used to
I watched this movie with my parents a bit before I took a road trip with my friends down the east coast of the USA during high school spring break. One of my friend’s dad came with us but my poor parents got even more anxious, especially my mom who’s already extremely overprotective. now that I’m older I get why she was that way
The saddest part is, there are children going through this and no one is coming for them. Parents or police that doesn't have the skill to do this. Even worse, at the end she said "You came for me" Imagine the children being sold and no one comes for them, feeling like they aren't worth saving but in reality, the parents wanted to but couldn't.
This movie is such a classic. Most definitely a great film and parents worst nightmare's. This movie makes you think we all should get special training in case we come close to have this same horrifying experience we already be prepared
Liam Neeson reminds me of Denzel in Equalizer. And of course, John Wick. Even though Taken came first. That "particular set of skills..." line was just excellent.
The speech Liam Neeson gave on the phone and his accent and deep voice is so amazing he’s one of the reasons I want to be a Actor in my life he is so talented thank you guys for this reaction ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hello Hanna and Ash, love your reactions so much. "Leon the professional" is another film I know many people would love to see your reaction to. Also "dead man's shoe's" is a good revenge film. Please consider both. Keep up the good work. 👍
Her dad said, "they're going to take you" calmly because he is realistic and can stay calm under these situations. Most parents would be crying and screaming and not offering any useful advice apart from "call the police" or "hide somewhere", but he understands that whoever is there, is there to take the girls and they wont leave until they do and no police is going to get there is time, so he accepts the situation, makes use of short time they have and gives her advice to help him find them, like shouting out description of the men.
Ash, if you love revenge movies, you HAVE to watch The Count of Monte Cristo. I don't want to spoil it for you, but I'll say the cast is all A-list actors, the story is the best revenge story every told, and the choreography, cinematography, and music are perfect. It's the story of perfect vengeance for the ultimate betrayal. Saying anything more would spoil it.
@@davelister2961 I haven't read the book yet, and I'm limited by only having seen the 2002 version, but I understand a lot of people also like the 1934 film. It sounds like you've seen both. How would you compare the two films?
@tokyosteve5187 Thanks for the recommendation! I just finished watching it, and even though it was dated, I felt the story was just as compelling as the 2002 version, more so at times. One of the obvious differences has to do with Albert Mondego. It is clear why the change was made in the 2002 movie. It provided a path to a happier ending. The 1975 movie's ending is much more somber. We see that Dantes loved vengeance more than virtue or anything else. He thought he could have it all, his vengeance, and his love. The priest was right to fear for him, and Dantes learns too late that the cost of vengeance was more than just money.
Taken is one of my all time favourite Liam Neeson films. This film really raises awareness about human trafficking which is happening in real life. I agree his one liners are epic. I think because he plays the role really well makes him one if the greatest action movie stars of all time.I reccomend Honest Thief and The Commuter he's in they're brilliant too. Great reaction 👍
Even having been a huge fan for months now, You two both surprise me how much I enjoy your reactions. Never would of expected this movie to be as fun to watch with you two!
Ash hit the nail on the head, its the pre kill one liners that make this movie. ‘You dont remember me, we spoke on the phone two days ago, i told you id find you.’ ‘It was all personal to me.’
I'm literally 57 seconds into the video. I have 2 things to say, if you have not seen this movie, you are in for a treat. Liam Neeson is amazing. *Side note* Liam played Schindler in Schindler's List. I know you both just reacted to that film. The 2nd is I must give Ash credit on his shirt. Stranger Things Hellfire Club, D&D. Awesome!!! Enjoy the movie.
ASH is actually JOKES! You literally had me in tears when you said, " Oh no she's doin' the Undertaker." Great reactions from you both and I can OFFICALLY say that I have watched every reaction on the page! I always look forward for the best reactions, and it never let's down. I love the atmosphere Ya'll have, and thank you both!
Hannah's ferocity against the evil, criminal, sociopathic traffickers is a roar of righteous rage on behalf of all women who _for thousands of years_ have been enslaved and abused by cowardly and conscienceless men (and sometimes women, alas). Chain them all to a rock in the desert with a supply of water, but no food, and let the scorpions have them!
I just have to say that I really do enjoy your reactions together! I hope you have as a good time making the reactions as we have watching them. I also would absolutely love to see you react to “The Lovely Bones”. It,s such a good movie, it’s so beautifully made and you get not just emotional but also really invested while watching it. Therefore, I really believe that reaction from you guys would be very entertaining for us viewers.
As horrible and unbelievable situations like this seem... The real world is just as horrid, arguably worse. It's impossible to empathize with but there are monsters among us in this world, all in the name of money.
Liam Neeson played Batman's mentor in Batman Begins, a Jedi in Star Wars and the titular character in Schindler's List. The mom, played by Famke Jansen, was Jean Grey in the original X-Men trilogy
I've never seen the follow ups, but this is by far one of the best. There are agencies that use this story as an education as how young girls are trafficked. My daughter and I watched it together, and I she found it eye opening.
What other films will make HANNAH's mind go ballistic? Kurt Russell in this three movies: *Executive Decision* (1996 action film), *Soldier* (1998 Sci-Fi film), and *Vanilla Sky* (2002 mind-blowing film, Kurt Russell opposite Tom Cruise).

I could never watch these sorts of films on my own. Too traumatising. However, I'm able to watch them with you two because your reactions and banter are so hilarious. (Plus the actual film itself is in a little circle that I can't see so well anyway lol). Hannah's reactions to Ash are actually the best. I collapsed at ''You just spat at me 4 times!'' Keep them coming. Thank you so much xxx
Very good!!! This one couldn't have been missing from your reactions record. Now a new film scenario....those thugs kidnapped his daughter and killed John Wick's dog. BTW, if you like Liam Neeson (how could you not...), look for Rob Roy. The sequel of Taken is very good to.
I just started watching your channel about two weeks ago and I’ve watched every one of your videos. You and Hannah are a hilarious duo and your channel deserves all of the love.
Love this film and your reactions! If I may ask, I’d love to request that you watch “Frequency” with Dennis Quaid. It’s a great action/sci-if/thriller, and I know you’d both love it! It’s one of my all-time faves!
The weirdest part of this movie that I still can't get over is how they had a very clearly 25 year old grown woman playing a 17-year-old that also dresses and acts like a 12-year-old 😂
Sam, played by Leland Orser usually plays a villain. Amanda, Kim’s friend, great name by the way, is played by Katie Cassidy, daughter of the late David Cassidy. She also played Black Canary in Arrow.
I had the same reaction. The character, Kim, is 17 years old but acts like she's 12 years old. BTW, the actress who played Kim, Maggie Grace, was born in 1983 and so was 24-25 years old when "Taken" was filmed in 2008. A 24 or so year old playing a 17 year old that acted like a 12 year old. 😅
Love your reaction and i have 4 kids and can tell you there isn't a force in the world more powerful than the love of a parent seeing this film as a parent you understand how you would do everything to get them back because they are all that matters
I have to say I loved Hannah's reaction to how dim the girls were being at the start ... and that "Put your knickers back on ... NOW!" instruction was pure gold :) And how engaged she gets never fails to impress me - I can tell you do not want to be on the wrong side of her!
This is a great father/daughter movie, took mine to see it as a teenager to educate her about the nature of the world and being safe; every dad should watch this with their daughter.

We got you ❤️
Ash’s excitement was contagious 🤣 I love the dynamic between them twos. Super excited to see more from you!
Ash, i love your solo reactions, but your reactions with her are unrealistically Hilarious! You two are awesome, thanks for this one you guys. Liam Neeson in this movie can practically John Wick's big bro.
Definitely Gogglebox levels of hilarity. They'd fit in perfectly on that show! lol
Cheers man ❤️
This reinvigorated Liam Nelson's career and made him a household name after his initial 90s career... now literally google how many action movies he has been in since? This was the "first one" in his bright age, that gave him such a run in action films
“Like imagine if that was our daughter-if we had one 🥺🥺” 10:45 so sweet! But yes, prepare yourself guys. What ppl say about movies hitting harder after you’ve had kids, 100% true, I can’t even watch some things I used to
I watched this movie with my parents a bit before I took a road trip with my friends down the east coast of the USA during high school spring break. One of my friend’s dad came with us but my poor parents got even more anxious, especially my mom who’s already extremely overprotective. now that I’m older I get why she was that way
If you wanna see more of Liam being a badass, give The Grey a try!!!
Also Rob Roy.
I walked into an empty theater playing that, based off of the poster alone. It was a great day off.
The Grey is a must watch
The saddest part is, there are children going through this and no one is coming for them. Parents or police that doesn't have the skill to do this. Even worse, at the end she said "You came for me" Imagine the children being sold and no one comes for them, feeling like they aren't worth saving but in reality, the parents wanted to but couldn't.
This movie is such a classic. Most definitely a great film and parents worst nightmare's. This movie makes you think we all should get special training in case we come close to have this same horrifying experience we already be prepared
Another great reaction you guys 👍 Hannah going between deep breathing & acting out the action scenes is everything! Protect her at all costs 😍💜
The reaction was so intense even Hannah ended up injured!! lol 😂 you guys had me in tears!
Nah fr😂 Ash gotta chill
Liam Neeson reminds me of Denzel in Equalizer. And of course, John Wick. Even though Taken came first. That "particular set of skills..." line was just excellent.
The chemistry between you two is just incredible. You can tell you are so comfy with one another. You make this Aussie laugh her ass off constantly
Oiiii we love you mate, thank you for your lovely message ❤️
@@justtrustash
They're the funniest movie reactors on YT for sure.
The speech Liam Neeson gave on the phone and his accent and deep voice is so amazing he’s one of the reasons I want to be a Actor in my life he is so talented thank you guys for this reaction ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
YOU GUYS ARE ALWAYS A GEM TO WATCH. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOL REACTION VIDEOS. THEY ARE LITERALLY MY LIFE!!!! #LOVEYOUGUYS
What a comment!! Thank you mate ❤️
This is the very first time watching you two and my gosh, you are both so hilarious. I'm definitely watching more.
“He just Rubex cubed him.” Very unique way of saying he had the guy sucking pavement! Great job as always guys!
Omg yes
Which movie version? I love the book. It's one of my favourites.
@@davelister2961 I haven't read the book yet, and I'm limited by only having seen the 2002 version, but I understand a lot of people also like the 1934 film. It sounds like you've seen both. How would you compare the two films?
My favorite version is the one starring Richard Chamberlain. Good luck finding it.
Edit: Actually it's easy to find in its entirety on youtube.
In Ash we trust! I cannot express how excited I am for you both to be watching this movie. Hannah stay close to Ash for this one.
Hope you enjoyed it you legend ❤️
Well maybe not too close.
"Middle-Eastern Dad Slap" is one of the greatest quotes of all-time.
“Why is running like that?” 😂😂 exactly
Even having been a huge fan for months now, You two both surprise me how much I enjoy your reactions. Never would of expected this movie to be as fun to watch with you two!
Ash hit the nail on the head, its the pre kill one liners that make this movie.
‘You dont remember me, we spoke on the phone two days ago, i told you id find you.’
‘It was all personal to me.’
honestly you are a great couple. Probably the funniest reactions of Hannah of all your set. You both really carnally experience the movie.
That one speech was the best ad campaign for a movie of all time
I'm literally 57 seconds into the video.
So so so happy to see both of you again.
Seen this like 20 times, and it never gets old
Hannah's ferocity against the evil, criminal, sociopathic traffickers is a roar of righteous rage on behalf of all women who _for thousands of years_ have been enslaved and abused by cowardly and conscienceless men (and sometimes women, alas).
It's always fun watching u guys react.. n loved the "Daddy chillll" Ash🤣
When Liam shot that guys wife i almost crapped myself 😂
The best part of this movie is like you said its quick and straight to the point. Liam Neeson kills it.
Hannah randomly busting S Club 7 is what I needed in my life. Great reaction!
I've never seen the follow ups, but this is by far one of the best. There are agencies that use this story as an education as how young girls are trafficked. My daughter and I watched it together, and I she found it eye opening.
What other films will make HANNAH's mind go ballistic?
Kurt Russell in this three movies: *Executive Decision* (1996 action film), *Soldier* (1998 Sci-Fi film),
and *Vanilla Sky* (2002 mind-blowing film, Kurt Russell opposite Tom Cruise).
Have Ash and Hannah seen *THE EQUALIZER* ? (isn't it about a similar topic? criminal gangs and forced prostitution?)
Omg I was wanting to watch reactions to Taken because I haven’t watched it in so long, and I watched a few earlier but this popped up and I’m so happy I found y’all 😭 I loved ur reaction to this movie, it still gives me goosebumps when she gets kidnapped
He trained Batman 🦇! Obi Wan! Was a God Zeus⚡ Fought Wolf's with he's bare hand's! And a Certain set of skills! Awesome Movie glad you guy's enjoyed it🤘 😂 Loved you guys reaction to U2 Band 🎵 lol Stay awesome 👍
Hannah just invented the KILLING DANCE..
Thank you Ash and Hannah for reacting to this movie!! Please do 'Dead Poets Society - 1989'.
he has already reacted to it!
@@polina_pr I know, but I want Hannah to see it, and Ash said it will come one day.
They have already done it bro
@@shizu-chan3942 I know, but as I stated in my previous comment, I want to see how Hannah reacts to it. Ash told me, it will be coming!!
And he never once said, “I told you so.” That’s a father right there.
This is a brilliant film, I love Liam Neeson, and he was amazing in this just as much as Schindler's List.
You know it's gonna be amazing when Hannah really gets into the movie from the beginning.
Maggie Grace was around 26 when she played in the first Taken movie
Very good!!! This one couldn't have been missing from your reactions record.
Now a new film scenario....those thugs kidnapped his daughter and killed John Wick's dog.
BTW, if you like Liam Neeson (how could you not...), look for Rob Roy. The sequel of Taken is very good to.
I just started watching your channel about two weeks ago and I’ve watched every one of your videos. You and Hannah are a hilarious duo and your channel deserves all of the love.
You’re such a legend mate for this!! Thank you so much ❤️
If you want to see another good family revenge action movie, check out Death Sentence with Kevin Bacon. Very underrated and needs more attention.
Lol. I knew Hannah will not stop screaming. Lovely reaction for you 2
Never mess with Liam Neeson!
He has a particular set of skills
Don't you mean Niamh Leeson :D
17:50 "I'm gonna get you some chapstick" has to be the funniest reaction line that there could ever be to the movie "Taken".
Love this film and your reactions!
If I may ask, I’d love to request that you watch “Frequency” with Dennis Quaid. It’s a great action/sci-if/thriller, and I know you’d both love it! It’s one of my all-time faves!
I agree! Haven’t seen many reactions to that one.
“You came for me” a line that crushed many people because thats a line that almost no parents hear in this situation.
Got a week vacay. Lets do this i'm pumped!
Me too man, on both accounts!
LOVE this movie! Liam Neeson is the man!
CONGRATS on 120k subscribers! 💚💚💚
I watched this with my daughter when she was 13. It scared the crap out of her but she told me that it made her aware of her surroundings.
The actress that played the 17yr old daughter was 26.
I think that this film was the first that Liam did as a "action" star.
The world wasn't ready.
My Mom died when I was 17, a year later my dad got remarried, Stepmom told me to take a hike. Dad just sat there and let it happen.
"I wasn't always here in the mountains...once I had a daughter, my great love...she was tak...well, she was taken but I rescued her"
Hannah cracks me up man xD lmao "he needs to tell her, you're safe I'm going to go get you some water and some chapstick" lmao dead
The little death dance at 21:01 has me CACKLINGGG😂😂😂
Hannah your rage was so genuine it made me laugh, my fav reaction so far although its my 2nd reaction of your guys clips.
I absolutely love watching movies with you guys!
Hannah's reactions during the intense scenes is perfect.
I have to say I loved Hannah's reaction to how dim the girls were being at the start ... and that "Put your knickers back on ... NOW!" instruction was pure gold :)
And how engaged she gets never fails to impress me - I can tell you do not want to be on the wrong side of her!
This is a great father/daughter movie, took mine to see it as a teenager to educate her about the nature of the world and being safe; every dad should watch this with their daughter.
Must have scared the crap out of her!
This channel deserves all the love it gets! I love your reactions and I wish you all the best. Much love!
Mad love to you ❤️
