Holy cow, I don't wanna over hype the next one, but I cannot wait to see you guys watch that.
Can’t over hype Heaths joker! Can’t wait!
How about a magic trick?
I like Batman Begins even better!
@@EatYourVegs I respect that. I go back and forth on it. Can we all agree that "Rises" is pretty flawed, especially after the first two?
@@matthewpollock9685 Rise is nowhere as bad as some make it out to be, in fact it pretty darn close to Begins. Both are equally good in the 1st act, Begins has a much better 2nd act, but Rise takes in in the 3rd act.
“He’s Batman. He doesn’t feel pain, he is pain.” Is very true. 😂 He is pain personified.
In fact, he's Vengeance. "I'm Vengeance, I'm The Night... I'm Batman!"
no, that would be Pinhead from Hellraiser
Fear*
"It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me."
The idea of the Bruce Wayne persona is to make him the last person anyone would think is Batman. Side note, I really do enjoy seeing people's reaction to that guy going, "Where are you!?" and then Batman shows up behind him going, "Here."
Also, this movie ended up being super underrated because of the hype of "The Dark Knight". Cillian Murphy as Scarecrow was perfect casting.
I think this movie has aged better than the dark knight.
To me, this movie and the DK are damn near on par, if it weren't for one character. The Joker.
Honestly, TDK was thrilling, but BB gave me actual goosebumps several times. And Gotham has never looked more like Gotham.
The scream after "here" is great
@@Bryan-uw1ny see to me the dark knight is pretty solid but the story is possibly one of the most contrivance filled stories out there. Which isn't to dis on the acting or the action set pieces but I think most people tend to ignore that aspect of TDK
Oh man, Hannah is SO protective of Alfred, I love it. The Dark Knight rises will be an astounding watch
“He’s like a JEDI”
😭 the one and only Qui-Gon himself
“Bats frighten me. It’s time my enemies share my dread.” That line still gives me goosebumps.
Mate FACTS!!
The symbolism!!!
@@justtrustash ASH cmmon man, do Grimsby brothers you will laugh hard, and do The Fly (1986) with jeff goldblum :DD
also what with spartacus ??? i subbed coz of spartacus, there is not much reactors who has balls to do spartacus
Same here man.
"I'm afraid of flying mice! I shall fight crime using weapons based on flying mice! Like...throwing chunks of metal in the shape of flying mice at them!" I think the bat theme is kinda limiting. If I were gonna use my phobia to fight crime, I'd prefer to have a phobia of machine guns.
Damn, Hannah’s fiercely defending Alfred like he’s her granddad. 😂37:34
We love to see it
37:40 Lmao, the way Hannah popped off and completely took Ash by surprise was so funny to me
Ash's point about the fight scenes is spot on
True, but this film is from only the very beginning of the era where you could see good fight choreography outside of actual martial arts films. The art of it had to come a really long way between Batman Begins and the first John Wick.
The fight scenes in this movie were dogshit.. all 3 for that matter
@@hideshiseyes2804 not true. The Matrix, Blade 1+2, Spiderman, X-Men etc all predate Begins
Ben Aflleck Batman version atleast did good with the Bats fight scene.
anyway, as always, Christopher Nolan is the best Director of our time, with Interstellar, Inception and everything, and soon with Oppenheimer, he is just a Legend in what he does..
Yeah, the fight scenes are messy with those jump cuts, a victim of the Bourne effect where it felt like every film was doing close up, quick cut combat. I vaguely remember them getting better in the next couple of films though so we'll see.
This is my favorite Batman film, it also has my favorite line from any Batman: "Your compassion is a trait your enemies will not share." "That's why it's so important."
"Bats frighten me, it's time my enemies share my dread" a great one as well. Or "If you make yourself more than just a man if you devote yourself to an ideal then you become something else entirely, a LEGEND"
The second movie of this trilogy, The Dark Knight, is widely regarded as the best. Yet, Batman Begins is my personal favorite. One reason is its many memorable epic lines, like the one you mentioned. This movie is also more “comic-book-y”, if that makes sense, than the two sequels, which went to a more realistic grounded direction. Am I saying that is objectively bad? No, I can’t say that; but I can speak about my own personal preference, and I prefer Begins’ tone, feel and vibe.
It's my favorite, too.@@themask8221
“He would be eaten a bat” You killed me 😂
Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy is THE BEST!
Thank you for the reaction 😊❤
I genuinely love how much she got into this. And i _cannot wait_ for you two to tackle the rest of the Nolan trilogy.
While I completely disagree with Ash about The Batman, it’s absolutely hilarious how vehemently he hates Robert Pattinson’s portrayal 😂😂😂
Supporting Ash in that case!
My main issue with The Batman is the third act. From the point Riddler is caught on. I really enjoyed the movie until that point.
@@marcuszaja6589 well ur both wrong
Robert Pattinson's Batman is the best Batman. I said what i said.
@@dinkin_flicka14 Nah mate, Pattinson's Batman wasn't bad and it was a decent film. But, Michael Keaton will always be the best Batman in my opinion.
Hannah the way you mentioned that Alfred has given his whole life for the Wayne’s really hit me. I’ve grown up with all the comics and know everything there is to know about Batman but the way you mentioned he doesn’t have a wife or kids and has dedicated his whole life to service. Crazy good insight
Doesn’t he have a daughter in the comics?

Hahaha hope it lived up to your hype!! Also what Ice cream we talking?
Loved Hannahs reaction! Can't wait for her to see the full series now, it will be so enjoyable to see her reactions, great teamwork 👏🏽
Well done reaction, Ash & Hannah! I can’t wait for you both to complete the trilogy.
"The dark knight" is next and I'm excited for your reaction. Hands down my favorite Batman movie, mostly credited to Heath Ledger's performance.

You two should DEFINITELY watch the prestige, the most underappreciated Nolan film by far, and maybe my favorite (tied only with The Dark Knight)
Thank you. I knew someone would say it. Memento for the honorable mention too.
Hannah - “Life’s nothing without fear, honey!”
Ash - “Yeah… alright…”
Had me dead 😂😂 let’s all calm down.
No Liam Neesom not only rescued his daughter. He trained batman, discovered Anakin Skywalker and trained Obi Wan Kenobi and was also the leader of the A-Team. He’s the baddest of the baddies

The best live action batman series for sure. I've got great nostalgia for the Tim Burton films and I actually liked Ben Affleck as Batman, but this series reigns supreme. You guys should check out more Christopher Nolan films, banging director!
HE ACTUALLY IS A JEDI!🎉 Liam is that guy fr
Hannah will flip when she watches the second film. Can't wait for it !
Batman Begins is not just a superhero film, but it’s just a masterpiece of film🔥😁. This movie is so beautiful and underrated. The whole cast was amazing such as Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Cillian Murphy, Katie Holmes, Gary Oldman etc. What I really love about this film is Bruce Wayne’s backstory on how he became Batman as it’s saw raw and realistic. Christian Bale is such an amazing actor as Bruce Wayne aka “Batman” is one of his most iconic roles he’s played. I agree with you when you said that the fight/action sequences need to be better and properly choreographed. Loved your reaction/analysis, take care and have a good one❤️
14:26 “he’s like a Jedi now”
He’s actually a Jedi Master fun fact
"He's got a very good way with his tongue, that makes you go....Oooooooo", I know what you meant Hannah, but omg, I almost died drinking my tea on that one, lol.
My God I’ve missed you two! Your banter is the BEST! Love you two and can’t wait for y’all to continue in this trilogy 🥰
It's funny that Hannah calls him a Jedi.😂. He is a Jedi his name is Qui-Gon he's in the first one. He was Obi-Wan Kenobi's master 😂
You can tell Ash is holding back his excitment for the Dark Knight. lol Awesome reaction! Hannah's commentary is entertainment on its own haha.. love you guys!
14:25 "He's like a Jedi now" Hehe, I wonder why. ;) Perhaps, it's because Batman was trained by Qui-Gon Jinn.
The antagonists in Nolan's Batman series are awesome. Liam Neeson kills it in this. Goes without saying Bale, Murphy and Caine are great in all 3 films. Cheers!
I liked how before comparing Liam Neilson to a ninja, she compares him to a Jedi.
I was waiting on Hannah’s reaction when she saw Joffrey 🤣
Liam Neeson is ''like a Jedi now''. LMAO. Qui Gon woulda loved that one.
Didn't expect freaking Batman Begins to be the fastest to make Hannah retch 😂😂😂
"Feed the birds! Who do you think you are Mary Poppins!" 0:46

man hannah is hilarious, her reactions are top tier - she makes this channel honestly
Her reactions are just annoying, she doesn’t engage the brain before speaking, this gets caught out in her own pride and hypocrisy many many many times, it’s sad tbh, I feel sorry for Ash to be lumped with that.. all mouth and no understanding apart from her feminism crap

Haha, very fun reaction! About the Voice: Ben Affleck said that he had his voice digitally enhanched. Bale did the voice on his own. "But Christian Bale is also a much better actor than I am."
The Dark Knight is obviously the best, but this one is my favorite simply because you actually get to see how he became Batman for the first time in a movie…
"I didn't get it, and that's so gooood" - I feel you, Hannah. I feel you. Great to watch your reactions!
Pretty rare that she doesn’t guess the reveals!
Love Batman Begins, love Batman 2022, love Batman 1989. It was really dope seeing you guys react, especially Hannah's first time reacting. I really wish Warner Bros and DC hadn't dug themselves into a whole where there's now like 5 different Batmen and Jokers and the fans feel the need to choose favourites and shit on versions that others might really enjoy - dividing the fanbase and lowering the chance of them continuing the franchises from lack of support. I really hope, if you guys go to see it, that you enjoy the second Reeves' Batman film.
I was legitimately surprised Hannah didn't make the connection btwn the fear gas and the flowers, but glad she got to experience a reveal for once 😂
Can’t wait to see you guys react to the rest of this series!!
When Wayne started the fire, he still is no executioner because the individuals inside the building have the availability to exit, but since they stayed they died from their own choices.
I thought The Batman was great. Excited to see where they go in the sequel.
The Batman is great, better than Begjns imo
100% Batman begins imo is the worst Batman movie excluding the 90’s films
Yea that was a bad take by ash. I get why it has the runtime to gel the story but it's a young Batman, perfectly understandable his first 2 years in it were rather boring beating up thugs until someone unique like riddler came up. And we never got detective Batman, his og origin, on the big screen it was a very appreciated effort for Battison. Sequel should only be better
Batman Begins and The Batman are my favourites, I love Dark Knight and Rises as well but I think begins and the batman just feel the most like a true batman story, like the atmosphere and everything
@anthonydelossantos7576 I honestly didn’t even remember that even existed 😂
OMG! I'm literally crying at Hannah's "I'm BATMAN" at the end 😂😂
Hans Zimmer's score for this trilogy is so good. Play the theme song while you're working out or running, makes you feel like Batman lol
I agree. Just don't play it while driving or you'll end up like me driving 25 mph over the speed limit pretending i'm driving the Batmobile...
Don't forget James Newton Howard actually helped with the score for Begins which I think actually sets it apart a bit from the other two (in a good way).
"I never said thank you."
"And you'll never have to"
Thats a hero right there, a protector.
This is my favourite Trilogy of all time! Also, The Batman with Robert Pattinson was not boring and was an amazing Batman movie, but hey it's your opinion the movie was not for you and that's all good.
‘Why do we fall? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up’. I have been dealing with significant mental health issues over the last couple of years and learning to pick myself up. A very big bag of seemingly small positive things has helped me overcome adversity and that includes watching both of you reacting to movies. Love to you both x
This is the best reaction ever...I'm only mad at the fact I gotta wait a full ass month before Hannah can react to Dark Knight. 😢
"He's like a Jedi now" Well yes, he's literally being taught by Qui-Gon Jinn ;)
The INCREDIBLE triology of Christopher Nolan`s Batman movies rely on the AMAZING acting brought by all the talented cast and the SO METICULOUS Script... Love all three movies... AMAZING REACTION...LOVE YOU GUYS TILL MY BONES...Blessings🥰😍
It's true, there's this thing called 'storytelling' and it's why Batman Begins is wonderful.
I love that you guys started this journey! I hope you guys are also gonna go on the MCU train and watch all the way through to end game. I will be so so happy
Christ, no.
18:17 The burning building is filled with grown men who are perfectly capable of escaping. The Ras al Ghul decoy attacked him, so Bruce was acting in self defense. If the other guys didn’t get out, that’s on them.
One of my favorite reactions. Can't wait to see the next Batman with y'all.
Best batman fight scene is probably Ben Affleck warehouse fight in Batman V superman. That's an epic display of Batman fighting .
Agreed. The only problem with it really is that he doesn't throw sleeping gas bombs in goons' faces and shuriken-like things in their feet and legs and stuff.
To say that Matt Reeves' "The Batman" film is all action and no storyline is a wild take...
Yeah, I didn't see all that much action...
I mean, he leads a bunch of folks about with a flare as a finale
Dull as dish water
By far the best film in the Nolan trilogy from it's depiction of Gotham to it's tone and really solid art direction it's my personal favourite out of the three films. Dark Knight when it came to it's depiction of Gotham and overall tone compared to Begins it wasn't as good. Bales Batman was a little too much in the later films and I just never liked him as Batman, Loved him as Bruce Wayne. The Dark Knight Rises suffers from this as well but I still enjoy all three just prefer Batman Begins.
I feel like the Nolan films both brought Batman back to the mainstream in live action while also warping the imagine of Batman's and his mythos. Alot of people only know Batman to be this very "grounded" as they say mythos as they were introduced to the character with these films but in reality it's far from being "grounded". Gotham City is not meant to be a generic American City but it's own city with it's own very fantastical, supernatural history and amazing Gothic meets Art Deco architecture. The films, more so the later ones tried a little too much to be grounded to the point where they striped away alot of the personality of the comics from the city of Gotham to some of it's villains.
But Begins is pretty good in this regards, Not Tim Burton amazing in it's depiction of Gotham but it's good. The Batman blows these films out of the water though when it comes to Gotham City from it's gothic revival architecture to being shot mostly in the UK so we have places like Glasgow and Liverpool, cities with gothic architecture rather than shooting in New York or Chicago for the most part where we end up with a Gotham looking like Chicago something Dark Knight suffers from. Hopefully with James Gunn's Brave and the Bold he does justice to Gotham City.
Also if you want another great Batman story I highly recommend Mask of the Phantasm (1993) an animated Batman film set in the DCAU but it's stand alone so you're free to go into it with zero insight on the Batman Animated Series. It's my personal favourite Batman film and it just the definitive version of the character for me as it's Kevin Conroy, Batman himself.
"If you make yourself more than just a man if you devote yourself to a ideal and if they can't stop you then you become something else entirely.. Legend" (🦇) Gowed I love this trilogy! Amazing choice Ash🤘
Hands down my favorite reactors on RUclips period i have never done a patron but you guys honestly have me seriously about to commit lol
He's not executing the League of Shadows. The moment they were going to kill that man they became unjust in Bruce's eyes. So fighting them, whether someone died or not, was him fighting injustice. They became criminals to him so burning down the criminal syndicate was justifiable to him.
He also needed to cause they would have killed him right there otherwise, and then gone and destroyed Gotham anyway
Oh I'd love for you guys to do The Prestige!! Such a great movie
I can't wait for the next two

“He’s a Jedi now”…..
Well, ya, Liam Neeson DID play a Jedi!
Come on bruh the Batman was so good. It was a detective story not a action flick. It was a year one story he wasn’t ready to start these crazy stories yes. It’s more grounded. It’s a dude in a suit not a superhero. A
The entire trilogy is a Masterpiece! Still my favorite trilogy to this day and I always in a mood to re-watch these films, great reaction as always guys.
I'm sorry, guys, but I can't take this Matt Reeves slander 😤
In all honesty, I'm surprised Ash didn't like the new film. As someone who's a huge comic book fan and a cinephile, I thought Reeves did an incredible job fleshing out a new perspective into the Batman mythos. Obviously, taking heavy inspiration from the Earth-1 Batman comic, Reeves is able to capture a modern-day Gotham with not only beautiful cinematography and musical compositions but an incredible story that actually allows Bruce/Batman to grow and develop as a character (which a lot of Batman films fail to do)
Couldn't agree more with the two of your comments at the end. The reason why these batman movies are superior is because of the relatable character development, acting prowess and over all realism. The Director at least attempts to provide logical explanations as to how things could happen in his world. These movies are rewatchable and actually carry good underlying messages that the audience can learn from. Excited to see the two of you react to the next two movies.
I am definitely a fan of The Dark Knight and the The Dark Knight Rises.
The Dark Knight Rises is also a great movie that I used to consider not as good as the first two, but after many watches it has grown on me a lot and definitely has a place in the trilogy.
Best batman movies created so far.

The Batman was a very good movie. What many people didn't realise initially was that it is set in what is referred to as "Year Two." So Bruce Wayne hasn't yet settled fully in the role of Batman. He's raw and still young and finding his way. Hence why he's overly aggressive in some parts of combat. The issue with that movie was that it was too long and had things they could have left out of it. I loved they showed the detective side more, which is what he was known for doing in the comics.
The Dark Knight, which is the sequel to Batman Begins, is one of, if not the best, superhero movie of all time. It's THAT good.
Yeah Nolan had to rush past the "early batman" to get to the Joker. IRL if early batman found joker, he'd have given Joker what he wanted, he'd have been corrupted. Batman evolves as a character and learns to not give into vengeance purely. That's why he becomes what he is. People might not like it, but Batman was not always all-wise, he was a troubled man, emotionally stunted and with a faulty conscience. It took experience to go past that, Nolan skips over that part, because he wanted to explore the later parts of the timeline.
Batman when it comes to fighting criminals: "I won't kill you, but man you'll wish I had"
The best trilogy, absolutely love your reactions
i beleive batmans code is he wont directly kill he will allow villans to die via the eviroment or there own actions but he wont directly take life i beleive is the code he has
You thought The Batman by Matt reeves was bad? that was like the best detective Batman we’ve gotten and I think the fight scenes are better. The Christopher Nolan fight scenes with Batman feel stiff that’s my only problem with these movies but still amazing obviously
better original batman
I said in another comment my only issue with it is the third act. I loved detective Batman. And Bruce learning how to BE Batman while dealing with his guilt, pain and anger.
To be homest fight scenes were not that better honestyl i was dissapoimted in battle scenes …what battle scene..there wasnt any good hando hand combat or any great action scene either ..the dark knight has better scenes
Hannah Is Shocked When That Guy Kills Thomas and Martha
oh man I'm so happy y'all are watching the Nolan Trilogy. I totally agree with you about the fight choreography. That is the one thing missing from these movies however the writing and acting is so good, you almost forget about it after watching the movie.
And I can't wait for the next movie, DARK KNIGHT!!! it's too good and will forever be stamped as one of the best comic book movies ever~
Styes can indeed be associated with allergies, and also stress (from lack of sleep, arguing with beautiful redheads 😎, etc.), but are more commonly linked with blepharitis, a condition where the tiny oil glands at the base of the eyelashes become clogged. Warm moist compresses can help these glands drain, and the moisture can also help cleanse the skin around them, since an abundance of bacteria on the skin surface can also be at play. So, without a known specific cause, taking action for all these possibilities is usually the best course.
Amazing movie, such a good origin story!
Never seen anyone go off on Bruce as hard as Hannah "You're making Alfred Emotional!" I lost it there! Love it!
Christopher Nolan directed the Batman movies at the right time, if it were today he probably wouldn't be able to do it the way he wanted
Before the rainbow mafia 🌈
@@Obiwanrollmeone They destroy every movie and series for the last 10 years. But this phase will end
Ash's Bat impersonation is all I live for 😂🤌
Hannah will love TDK. It's all about story, character, drama, stakes, and has one of the best performances (Oscar winning) ever in a superhero movie.
When it came out it was rightly compared to Heat as it's as much a city crime epic involving police and gangsters as it is about Batman.
Batman and the Joker are just the extremes at both ends.
The Harvey Dent storyline is brilliant too. The actual heart of the movie revolves around him.
So excited for you to watch this please show Hannah the whole trilogy that would be gold
The Batman was spectacular. Give it a retry. It's the best one, and I'll stand by that still after even rewatching this one.
Ikr? lol, it was amazing. I think that's what happens when people just like action and not story or realism, not to say comics which The Batman takes references from with absolutely brilliiancy.
To be fair, the third act is really weak tho
I think you have to already know Batman to truly appreciate The Batman movie. As an introduction, it wouldn't make much sense. It doesn't show any of his childhood or training, it just jumps right into Year 2. Which is AWESOME for big Batman fans. But if you only know Batman through pop culture or the Nolan films, you probably won't appreciate the 2022 film as much. So I completely understand Hannah not liking it as much as Nolan. Ash probably needs to give it a rewatch. I had to watch it twice to appreciate it. But if your preferred genre is, say, Fast and Furious, then yeah you'll like the Nolan films more. If you enjoy darker, grounded mysteries, then you'll prefer The Batman.
Both are outstanding in their respective spaces. And I love both, don't get me wrong. But I am so damn excited to see The Batman 2 to see where Reeves takes Bruce Wayne
That's a pretty good way of looking at it!@@pizzadohpaz
Stye and hay fever. A Stye is a blocked oil gland. But if you are prone to hay fever you may inadvertently rub your eyes with dirty hands and risk causing a Stye. But one doesn't cause the other. My Mother had Stye more than once- but didn't have hay fever.
Ash, the Stye is just being stubborn. It will get better. Keep doing the treatments. You might want to try OTC eyedrops, if you don't normally do so, to see if a little bit more moisture might keep you from rubbing your eyes during hay fever season.
Cillian Murphy was cast as the Scarecrow. He even screen tested to play Batman in the Val Kilmer suit as well.
Ewan McGregor, Christopher Eccleston, Jeremy Davies and Marylin Manson were considered for the Scarecrow as well.
oooooh Cristopher Eccleston! I would have been keen to see that

Marilyn Manson would’ve been interesting. Wonder how that would’ve gone.
I love that Hannah caught the symbolism of the laundry drying in the rain!
I personally couldn't disagree more with you on The Batman Ash, but I think the best thing about movies is the different opinions, I loved the plot, how it took so much from the comics and integrated his skills as a detective, the contacts, the riddles, how this is a new batman and he doesn't 100% have being Batman down yet and needs to discover who he is as a hero. The take from the comics about his parents and Falcone was also super cool to see on film finally. For a young man who doesn't have parents in this gothic gotham run by mobs and everything he was still "Emo" Bruce, as much as he's sorting out what and who the identity of Batman will be he hasnt created the mask of Bruce Wayne yet. Love your and Hannah's reactions can't wait for The Dark Knight!
I love the mix of Alfreds Professionalism as a Butler and as his family relationship towards Bruce
