i like the Hyuga and Asuka they're a pretty neat fleet for the Yamato sure yamato has both stike craft and marines(in the massive numbers it somehow carries) and a dam good shield but having two other ships to handle those jobs lets the Yamato brawl harder than ever before and it was nice to see and I hope the next series which is supposed to come out keeps them with Yamato's next journey.

Here's hoping we can find out why the dimensional net had andromeda class ships within it. Cant want for the plot line of that to be resolved. I think though the hyuga and asuka are ok ships. Meaning either they lack a proper substantial airwing for carrier operations and under welming firepower wise compared to contemporary battleships.
I love the fact that Hyuga still being a Battle Carrier even after WWII. For those who didn’t know Space Battle Carrier Hyuga was based on IJN Hyuga. A Japanese Battleship that being converted into Battleship Aircraft Carrier.
The thing that bugs me about both the Asuka and Hyuga classes is that they got rid of the single big engine with smaller auxiliaries which to me very much was a defining part of Earth ship design. Instead they've got loads of smaller engines offset down from the centreline of the vehicle and that's kinda just annoying.
Im a bit irritated that Hyuuga have open top fight deck in space. I love just how they build Yamato hangar as this revolver like launch bay which are perfect as they dont need flight deck in space, but as the time goes on earth fleet somehow regress and decide to put flight deck, and its not even the same with Garmillas battle carrier that can turn the flight dech into turret, making it a proper battlecarrier. I know it's based on scrapped IJN Ise and Hyuuga concept of battlecarrier with actual flight deck, it's just my tid bit annoyance.
@@cardiv5zuikaku944 Even the regular Garmilan carrier kinda exploits that it's "not a boat anymore" conceptually with the three decks too. But yeah it's ironic how EFCN ships went with the Andromeda carrier (even though it has so many concealed flight bays aswell hiding in its sides which would make fighter management a nightmare) and later Hyuga/Asuka classes.
