@Fakhry Muhammad You'd THINK an advanced species like them would know how to install a system that did NOT target allies... I don't like how Andromeda lacked anything to prevent over-exertion of its engine or how the Andromeda carriers looked like a honeycomb was slapped on the back of the ship, but at LEAST its wave motion gun could tell friend from foe.
I wonder what is the classification of the Yunagi-class is now. It can't really be a battleship (even it's basically a retrofitted and modernized Kongo-class battleship) cos it's literally the size of a Cosmo Fleet destroyer. So is it a heavy cruiser or a pocket battleship now?
According some screenshots of ships blueprints, It's a cruiser, in the battle of saturn it appeared and fought alongside WMG patrol cruisers having 2 Dreadnoughts as Flagships
It will be so cool if they just call it fast battleship class like the real Kongo class battleship is basically an up-armored battle cruiser and design more for speed and maneuverability rather than taking a hit from opponent repeatedly
Funny that it's called a BB when it's no bigger than a 202m long Baltimore class Heavy Cruiser and a 203m long South Dakota class Battleship the SBY Kongo class is just 2m longer than a Sodak although the real IJN Kongos where 214m long.
can we acknowledge the amount of ships Kodi and his crew managed to destroy is a Destroyer in this fight. I know plot armor is a thing in this anime worse then any series but straight up dunking on his own forces for performance
Well Tbf, the Discount wave motion gun the Medulasa use can pretty much 1 shot any capital class ship in Sby, even the yamato, it was even shown in the Movie a prototype medulasa one shotting that same type of Garmillas ship.
Too many green captains and crew, I mean, Earth was literally down to One ship only a few years before… 😉 But in all seriousness, yes, the Congo class Battleships are more than a match for any other warship, in the hands of a capable captain and crew… Any Warship is an easy target for the enemy when flying slowly in a straight line. Unfortunately it seems Earth dinae take advantage of their ship’s maneuverability until most of them are destroyed…
The Yunagi-classes were basically upgraded Kongo-classes. I'm pretty sure there are surviving Kongo-class ship captains around but most would be used to how slow the Kongo-class was so yeah, they may have never updated their training.
The lesson here is:
Never be on a ship that doesn’t have a crew member of the Yamato aboard it.
Another lesson is to not be in a gamillas warship during 2199 and u encounter yamato

That ship is an AI ship, so no crew on board. And that's why the ship commite Kamikaze

What annoyed me about this arc was how OP that class of Gatlantis ship was, but near the end multiples of them just get one-shot by basic weapons.

That ship is actually vulnerable thats why it can be easily shot by andromedas

In one scene you could see they loaded shells and they improvised a mass driver of sort.
Andromeda has 40.6 cm guns. Yamato has 48 cm guns.
