I love it I had a stock 71 Nova SS 350 automatic in the mid 70's. This one is hot as Hell from the bad ass paint to the power and sound it is a great build. Be proud of that one for sure Memo.
Got a ticket in Quebec in a 72 Chevy Nova. Cop said I was doin 165 MPH. I new it was fast , But holy crap, 165 . 1 proud nova owner. Get caught doin that today? Car impounded You ARRESTED MAJOR FINE. Back then 300. Dollar fine Live those Novas
The Stance and wheel fitment is Perfecr, very classy looking.. from a classic Mopar owner daily driver 68 Dart.. this is one beautiful Nova!! Class act.. not over done.. much respect
@@AutotopiaLA Thanks a Bunch.. it's was a Lot of work that Pays off at every turn of the key, Starts and Runs like a champ.. really like your Channel keep it up.. See ya on the Road
Love the car and the fact that he drive his cars hard. That's how it should be. I just hope the 70 nova that I am building will turn out that bad ass. As all ways thanks for showing off these bad ass rides.
My favorite detail, which has a lot of potential how he blacked out the gaps.. imma give the internet this idea because I'm not a builder yet ,but that's a perfect way to accent the car
GOD DAMN!!! THERES SO MUCH TO THIS CAR. THIS IS MADE WITH PURE LOVE, AND WHAT A WAY TO SPOIL YOURSELF. HARD WORK RIGHT HERE. SO NICE I HAD TO COMMENT TWICE!!!!!
My grandma owned this exact car except that it looked the same as it did when she drove it off the lot new in 71. When we went up to move her into assisted living, I was tasked with driving the car about 80 miles back to our house. My dad was in the business ad knew a mechanic that wanted it. So I get in this thing and she was a smoker so it had a film of nicotine brown everywhere, burn holes here and there in the seats. Now before I get in I did a walk around for basic safety as the car had been sitting for months by then. No cover, and in the California sun. I didn't think it would have enough battery juice to start up. So while walking around it and checking the trunk.. on the outside the metal was rusted and showing thru in spots. In the trunk I could see the bottom was rusted out to where I could see large parts of the road beneath it. When I got inside I was fully expecting to have to call a wrecker out. But then I turned the key, and this behemoth of an engine roared immediately to life. I remember it was an automatic on the steering column. So I backed out, put it in drive and touched the gas pedal. Vooom and instant power came alive by the time I hit the freeway a few miles away, I was fully aware of what I was driving. A clear onramp of about 100 yards lay before me and when straightened out I pushed the gas to the floor. After leaving part of the tire tread on the pavement a good ways behind me.. I was at 80 when I cleared the ramp and roared into sparse Sunday morning traffic. For California, sparse and traffic don't usually go in the same sentence. However, the automobile God's shown down upon me that day. I was like a little kid again. I had never driven a car with so much instant torque and top end speed. I could never test the full speed of the car seeing that it would be stupid to drive an unknown car at top speeds on a road with others on it. However, a couple newer mustangs later left in my rearview, I pulled into the driveway after doing 80 miles in record time. When I got out I tapped the old girl lightly and whispered "good girl, thank you" and walked into the hose with a smile plastered on my face and a rapid pulse to match. That mechanic was there with cash an hour later. I didn't blame him. If that car hadn't been promised to him beforehand or he hadn't shown up.. it would be in my driveway today. FAST car. Fun car. Missed car.
I love the novas! My dad had a 75 nova and after his passing and me having kids afterwards I named my daughter Nova in behalf of his memory,I’m also looking to buy a 1972 nova in behalf of my fathers memory because he was born in 1972,I would love to build a pro touring 1972 Nova SS if I can find one for a god price and I’m decent shape
Love me some Nova! Killer car, love the black front and back looks cool coming at ya and leaving u in its dust. 68-72 Nova is on my bucket list of cars.
I’m a Chevy and, over the years, I have really been trying to like the 3rd gen Nova. It just hasn’t grown on me. Until this video. I love this car. Very detail oriented car that has everything it needed, and nothing that it doesn’t. Just an awesome job from the lsx/tremec driveline to the stance to the interior. Nice attention to detail. Great job!
What can I say Shawn other than perfect. I love as you say a clean and simple build, and the white body with the contrasting black end caps is priceless. From me to you're friend a beautiful build. Simple and no added fat. Hey how can I not mention that WTF sound.... Wow music that an electric vehicle will never naturally make. Cheers Shawn.
'72 Nova. Pretty much a Camaro for stoners, cause your buds in the back need headroom - which is considerate. Not sure I'd drop 'em back there though because that interior was pretty sweet looking and ash ruins the seat fabric.
man that is one cool car and agree it's the subtle touches and not so with the boot and engine bay especially as the black makes the engine a feature but when down as you say get the black lines in the body. Looking forward to the other cars which he has
ATLAmerch.com/
This has to be the top three best Nova I’ve ever seen. I love the style.
💯
That car is done just right, not too loud, but just loud enough. & Memo seems like a nice guy, humble but at the same time, he knows what he has!
I’m back to leave another comment a year later. This thing is just so right. He just gets it. So sharp.
He does some cool ones. I really like this build
I'm back for a rewatch too. That black front clip and tail is bold but works real well. Especially going with the gloss black instead of matte.
Gotta admit never been a fan of that Nova body style, but this guy made me change my mind. That car is sweet and sounds even better.
I know what you mean and I agree. There’s a few I know of being built that are gonna keep changing peoples minds
i'm an import guy. but, if i have to get an american muscle. the early 70s model nova be it. this is a beauty..
If you do get it i would trade you for my import no cap. I'd built the nova as my drift car
Absolutely a beautiful ride. ❤❤❤❤👍🏿
Get the fuck outta here! Lol
66 or 67 are the ones for me, I don't like the rear ends on the 70s but all are still bad ass
Brother has got some style I have to say.. one tight ride. Very slick very sick
yey, yey, yey.

I love the throaty gutheral growl.... Awesome sound...
Damn... It was funny him looking at the driver like you can't drive but never said anything except smiled hahaha
Very tasteful. I love it. I can see this continuing to be a trend.

Sick ass Nova bro. Im feelin that theme
I think so too. Very clean old school cool
Exhaust sounds super unique! I really like it. Nice build
Awesome build. The contrast of black and white and how he used it is truly top notch. Looks like a great build

Me too, except mine is a 72 like his and is a rally Nova. Good luck on your build.
That car would be a perfect daily. Totally dig it.
You could definitely drive it daily

I clicked because that thing looked NASTY!👍🏼
It’s a cool one for sure and Memo is awesome!
those are BMW Style 37 M-parallel wheels, I have those on my E34 turbo ... didn't know they bolt on like that to Novas lol
chevy pattern is 5 on 120.65, bmw is 5 on 120.00 basically the same
Yup you’re right..... it’s my buddies old car in Sacramento... he only did a tiny bit of bodywork and painted the black parts lol
Yea they bolt right up to most Chevys had some on my 4th gen Camaro
@@dantheman5140 they might have said it in the video, but what exhaust is that?

Memoe great ride! Great choices on upgrades for your ride! Autotopia is the best!!!
N/A power all the way brother, good job. The only thing that could possibly make this Nova cooler is a big block.
I’m with you on n/a
Yeep big block is just other world lol
I like it, too, Shawn, it's like its own genre, an incredible urban muscle low rider.
Lol he bought it like that !! ... my buddies old car
That explains it. Custom plates too!
was it painted this way? did he actually do anything to the car?
Man, that Nova is sweet. And the look is so unique

Nice ! Sounds like a 5.3
Very cool 😎 I like how the folks in the cts wagon enjoyed the nova also. You know you have something when other car guys want to look at it.
Love the racoon look to the car, that little bit of black makes it look so cool. Great video.
She's a screamer !!!!!! Awesome machine!!
Pretty sure that's Sinbad :D Killer Nova!
Love it! He’s so cool and builds em the way he likes which is always respected from us
Lololol!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 He does kinda Favor Sinbad to a degree. Too funny Bro!! 😆

So it's missing a couple of grand to be LSX. LSX block are aftermarket, not stock.
I haven't heard a car quite like that. It's breathy and raspy at the same time, with some hollow reverb.
Nacho Slave flow masters or black windows and a 6.0 ls everytime lol
Damn that’s a Clean ass Nova brotha!
A very classy cruiser!!!!! Perfect for daily use, and autocross. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful Nova, my only complaint is that the engine looks like an aluminum block but he’s wearing LSX tags and also has 350 tags on the body.
My favorite Nova body style👍
Nice ride
That's Dope!! Pro Touringesque; but I'm guessing no mini tubs. That's a Fly joint right there!! 👌
Mans headers are only 2 inches off the pavement! That's one thing I DON'T miss, swerving around potholes in New England sucks!
Man that how you do a custom car my props to the owner who put in the time
WICKED!!! This looks and sounds amassing👍 Did you show us his S10 pickup a while back Shaun? One super cool car😎👍
