It's your wiring and not the radio, I had a issue with my Bluetooth radio that it got hot fast and wouldn't play and that was because i had one of my wires hook up that wasn't for my vehicle
I just got mine at Walmart too 49 dollars 💵 it’s good head unit. That will not break the bank 🏦. But i will not purchased again. I will go for Kenwood or pioneer for my other car 🚗
Good to know all this. I just bought an suv and they bought me this radio because the one in the truck was messed up. So, waiting to install it hopefully this weekend. Had mine hooked up for about a month. Not bad all things considered. I’ll need aftermarket speakers eventually, I can tell this HU is already wearing these down. Reverse cam comes in handy as well, only bad part is when in reverse it shuts off all music, unless you’re on a phone call.
I'm having issues in my car with this. When I turn my dash lights on, where the speedometer is and fuel gauge etc.., the radio loses signal. And on top of that, the bass is horrible. I've literally got no bass whatsoever even when I turn it up on the equalizer. Do you have any clues what I could do to fix it?
Where did you connect your power wire? It has to be a wiring issue. As far as the bass goes, All my speakers are connected to amps and the audio quality is good. I dont have any experience with this headunit without using amplifiers.

@@SouthernBrother Yeah the whistling is definitely a wiring issue as well. usually that happens when power wires are ran next to rca cables that go to the amp. If you are not using an amp then im not sure where it could be coming from. Theres a lot of info about that in forums and stuff so just do a google search

Yes, turning the phone volume down is a way around the problem. But its not how its supposed to be. And the battery is brand new, without direct sight the remote does not work.

This radio dont have all the low pass and high pass filters like a pioneer does also i dont see any subwoofer controls at all tbh. Also the voltage on the rca outputs on a pioneer are higher like 6 volts which is good this radio is prob closer to 2 or 3 volts. So you would have to crank up your amp. This seems to be a good radio if compared to a stock on but when compared to a pioneer...The pioneer is on a whole other level bro its just better technology.

3:17 The remote is good! It's a two piece design. The ring is designed to attach to the steering wheel. The remote easily pops in & out of the ring for convenience. It was never meant to be a "steering wheel control".
I just bought this, and the only problem I have is that when I flip my had lights on or even the running lights, the head unit goes out and say no signal. I was just wandering if you had any problems like that, cause it seems to me your the only person who doesn’t have that.

I saw comments on sd card navigation, how about flash drive, same issue? And if you have music in separate folders, is it still a difficult task to find songs? Can I play a folder only and shuffle or whatever?
I just used the wiring harness that came with the stereo. I wired it all up myself. I wired the power wire and ground wire to my cigarette lighter, since the power should only be on if the truck is on, and I connected the 12 volt + wire to the one from the stock radio. The 12 volt + provides power to the stereo even when the vehicle is off so that all the settings can be saved. If you want a harness to make it easier, i would definitely recommend going to Crutchfield's website and entering in your vehicles information. They should have everything you need.
@@Solorexx There should be instructions that came with the radio that shows where all the wires connect. If the radio wont turn on at all, its most likely your 12v power/ground wire

If you can't turn it on you will need to press and hold the volume knob, that turns it on, I just installed this same model today
