It's about damn time someone finally made a Double D(IN) head unit with a bra cup size converter! I've been waiting for this for DECADES!!

What's a converter?
This is probably the most badass head unit I've ever seen. I'll keep my eye on this one.
I got one in my 96 caprice and it's been going since I got it bout a year ago or so.
It would be awesome for a top-of-the-line version to come out that has a modern UI (because this one is pretty outdated looking), and CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. This would be a killer

Looks absolutely spectacular. The only unfortunate problem I am seeing in this live video demo, is, it is very obvious that this manufacturer did not install enough RAM. I can see the GPS system is lagging due to being insufficient RAM.
Possible to modify?
I can imagine the use of this if it were running on Android it would be pretty useful especially for extra gauges etc.
Replaced my expensive kenwood with this unit works great very fast and reliable tested it and worked it over good. Way better than my kenwood nav system. Picking up another one for the truck.

I think sound stream changed the car audio world for the better. Now you can drive with the radio playing and at the same time on a different screen you can run GPS or the internet

This stereo is definitely a 👀 eye grabber.. since i got it for my truck people can't stop asking about it.. even if it goes bad in 1 or 2 years, is why i got the 3 year protection plan, and by then who knows maybe something better will come out... it always does... so I'll just enjoy it meanwhile..

this thing so far is a success you can bet your ass its gonna get copied by high dollar brands but they will have to figure some way to sell it 800$ plus i want it just for the nav and its 4volt clean signal those two thing alone is a 1000 for other decks

sleeper10s yeah its a nice screen but these companies always add a bunch of useless crap like that clothes deal. Why not just leave that out & upgrade the equalizer. But it is a very nice screen.

SOLD! Their is nothing wrong with my Pioneer double din AVH 8500, but I do use 2 screens, that plus my tablet, search (VR6 noise walk around and drive) for a lil glimpse. This will make my inside look sharper n cleaner

Man that's is awesome I seen that dual screen in hi end cars like infinity, honda, Lexus so to get for 450 is not bad at all nice u can have one or two screens very nice will have to get one

So why didn't you show anything about playing music from SD? Does it display album art? How big of an SD can I use? Many of us have way more than 32gb of flac files.

Pretty informative but you don't say anything about the EQ on it or the actual sound quality. That's pretty important too.
Looks cool, til you factor in the fact that all of soundstream's (maxxsonics) previous screens were crape and typically stopped working properly within 3mo-12mo

They're saying 17,000 opening and closing cycles. Keep it clean and don't open and close it every time you get in the car and you should be able to get at least 5-7 years or better.

I had to modify my dash mount so the top screen could open correctly. I had to shave off about 1/4" making the stereo stick out a little more and two slits for the brackets to fold out
+David Gutierrez I wouldn't modify the radio, plan on modifying the depth into the dash.
I modified the after market radio dash for my pick up not the stereo it's self. But after wiring it I'm not able to get the stereo to turn on with the ignition I have to press the power button to turn it on. Any tips on what went wrong?

Meanwhiöe I'm thinking that an Android tablet can do all that and better.
USB OTG can connect an external GPS for better GPS OR hook up a webcam for rear parking camera.
And that Navigation looks crap compared to Google maps...
DIN slots in some cars are also down by the gear shifter and not many car brand have systems that actually can be removed/replaced. Audi, Mercedes, BMW and Volvo all have custom audio and climate control panels that cannot be replaced with aftermarket stereos...
I am not defending the unit but just giving an FYI, yes the nav looks like crap but it works off of just GPS, you don't need data for Igo nav.
