RKM 101 the red wire is the mains 12 volt + the black is the negative- and the yellow wire is power that is live all the time so it doesn’t forget what channel you have the radio tuned in thats the plug on the bottom of the unit the 8 wires on the top unit go to each of your speakers if you only have 2 speakers you only need to wire 4 of the wires usually it’s the 4 wires in the centre of the block

Thank you for this video. I am about to install one of these radios. And now I know how to connect the Camera. Very cool. I will save the URL to this video, so I can go back and watch how to get the Camera connected once I am ready to install. I had one working in my car for a couple years now it is locked on one FM radio station. I cannot change anything else. I will get a battery for my remote and see if that will work.This is why I am getting another one of these radios. They do not last very long. But I have a woofer in my car, and when I first installed my radio, it worked great with my AMP.. And sounds really good. Even thought it is very cheap to purchase. It still works very good when connected to a amp and woofer!
bought mine around the same time you did an still works great besides my backup camera got some dust in the lense I wired it to a switch so I can view who is behind me while driving lol my knob is kinda loose but doesn't effect function of the unit at all and if you wanna bypass the bluetooth you can by a hidden module you can connect your phone direct an that transmits to the radio station I know its a lot but once done it's an amazing product for $37.00 with shipping

Bought this from ebay. Your video helped alot on how to navigate this stereo-- thank you. However, I am able to hear the sound only in one speakers. The old stereo we had had no problem hearing from all speakers. By chance, do you have a solution to this? I brought it back to the installer and he switched the module and all sounds came through all the speakers for a minute. It goes in and out. Could this be a software issue? Please help.

Nice explanation, Is there a way to increase the microphone sensitivity for Bluetooth hands free calling, I have a similar one without the volume knob, microphone is too low for the other person to hear me.
i have this unit but i yhought mine was a 7018G cant get the camera to work but i think u just answered that for me i didnt know about the pink wire so i run that to the back reverse light then to the postive side what about my GPS i get a plain screen with this in the middle of it + any ideals what to do oh by the way very nice video on this i have watched alot of them and i dont know why they even put them up but yes great job easy to understand u not to slow or to fast explained ever thing good early like it thanks

Question, I have a backup camera, a DVR camera and a front camera. My unit is the 7021g. Backup camera works and DVR camera works, however I have my front camera hooked into Camera 2 input and I can't find an AUX button to view it. If I remove my backup camera and swap it with my reverse camera the front camera works. Bottomline, I can't get video #2 input to show up. It needs an AUX button on the stereo to bring up camera #2 input.
Any ideas?

Nice radio at an affordable price with so many features..the only thing I hate is the backup camera I wished it was the type of camera you bolt on the licence plate with this camera you have to install it inside the car
Where do you plug the red wire with the video plug where the camera is cause the other end plugs to the video head unit with the red wire on the pink you said on the head unit where does the other red line plug to on the other end of the video plug. I know the yello plug plugs to the camera but where does that red line go to?

UPDATE:
You must buy a GPS micro SD card for the GPS to work. Once installed, the GPS antenna will allow for the directions to display on the screen. I bought the card from EBay for $9.99. It now works perfectly!
doesn't switch to camera when you change to reverse. Missing the pink brake wire. What can I do? Camera works if you switch manually to camera mode.
Regarding The camera cord that runs from the front of the car to the back of the car (the cord w/ the yellow plug and red wire at each end): what to do w the red wires that are at each end of that cord?

Try connecting every wire to each other some people said connect the blue with the recipe beside the yellow with the blue or the yellow with the red etc etc I have a blue wire coming out the left side of the car aftermarket and I also have a black and red wire that says Auto pipe coming out the right side of the car aftermarket. why did you bypass the microphone socket? The internal Mic´s on these units are crap.

I bought one and it arrived dead, had to open it up and reset the ribbon cable interrnally. Now it seems to work partially but still unable to get it to mirror my Iphone which was an advertized feature for the model I bought. I can not find an address to download new software update. Sigh.
Does anyone know how to install additional apps from a USB stick? There is no store or settings option that I can find. I can see the APKs on the USB stick but I have tried double tapping them and holding them down to no avail. Someone please help as I want to install my TPMS software on it. Thanks.
