Illinois ANG immediately pays all state university tuition + cash stipend after BMT & Tech School. So u may just miss 1st semester & at 18/19 return & start up full time 15 semester hrs & live at ur university & just drive to base for drill UTAs once a month. Its super easy. They don't cover room & board. A 6-yr contract is req'd. This is what most young new ANG members do.

@@MrGizzyRey its a standard 6 yr Air Nat'l Guard contract with a 2 yr Inactive Ready Reserve requirement (which u do nothing in USAFR command). So technically its an 8 yr commitment, but 6 yrs of req'd service & 2 yrs of possible call-up...I rec'd optional orders in those 2 inactive yrs to deploy to Korea in 1998, but declined due to police academy.

In a 6 year contract, how many years in will the ANG cover 100% of tuition?

from my research the Air National Guard will only do Tuition Assistance if you are on ACTIVE ORDERS, and drilling does not count as active orders, so for example if you go to BMT and then Tech School and after that you drill one weekend a month YOU WILL NOT QUALIFY for Tuition Assistance since you're not on "active orders" 10 or 32 orders

I wanted to ask, how much do you make per deployment, MONTHLY, and in total adding every month up to the total

In NY 100% TA. Now the guard is going to receive federal TA to. Hop on title 10 or 32 orders get that GI Bill. Triple threat

Does anyone know of a interactive flow chart that allows you to select certain options like term commitment, degrees, etc that would allow someone to click through/filter out for their situation and see what benefits they would be allowed?

A little gentle criticism: don't say "like" so often....it's like irritating and so like California girl.

If you opted into the GI Bill, paid $1,200 into it, and then switch to 9/11, you can only get the $1,200 back once you exhaust ALL of your entitlement (36 months of school).
