@@justinreeves9544 I was skeptical too at first but im not sure Matt would play it like that. I think it was actually out there and until he tells us different, i believe it.
New(ish) El Camino, you pet a racoon, and a surprisingly good restoration on a trailer. This episode was peak 'Off the ranch'. The only thing it was missing was "do something today to make yourself better tomorrow then you were yesterday" but youre kind of the living embodiment of that statement so its all good.
Matt with the amount of acreage you have if allowed you should make some rain catchment tanks through our your property and perhaps some water towers that can catch water as well. It would make things alot easier; God forbid if a fire actually did break out. The trailer can only hold so much but the water towers and catchment tanks would be easy fill stations. Loving the resort episodes. Lotsa love from Northern West Virginia 💕
Adding onto this, rain collection from the falloff of the roofs of all of the buildings would fill your tanks in a single rain. With enough tanks, you could have free water for a year with only a couple of days of rain.
The extra 4ft on the trailer- you could put a toolbox with extra fire equipment ( like breathing apparatus, fireproof clothing, blankets, shovels for spot fires)
so your telling me its not faked? a guy who owns a property for 4months and hasn't checked every corner of it? 3:24 how can he know the interiour was custom done, before even opening the door? Idiot
Definitely not boring. I am envious of your skillset Matt. I've seen shows on the History channel that have this level of production quality. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite channels on this platform.
Brother, you gotta stop second guessing yourself on these videos. We are here for it. Here for the unknown adventure in each video. The randomness of this resort is epic and we love the content.
The abandoned El Camino would be a great project for a collaboration with Derek at VGG. It would be pretty cool to see what y'all could come up with on that, and get him on Demolition Ranch too.
That front portion can have a small tool chest with shovels and Pulaskis, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, fire blankets, water jugs for drinking water, etc.
So for the watering of the roads plumb in a pipe across the back of the trailer and attach 4 fire sprinklers across it then you can just turn the pump on and flip a valve to wet your roads we do it for field fires here in Tennessee
The el Camino needs to be a security/first aid/response car for the ranch. With a radio to call the base and get assistance…with a range and guests you’ll need something to help out and that’s almost perfect! Light bar and everything!
I’m a woman and get excited to see you transform the trailer. I just started watching when you bought this ranch and have been binge watching the past 3 days!

Man you got to give it to Matt with the massive collection of toys he has and still has a space for every animal in his heart!! You’re a legend!! Your pets are getting crazier every time!! 🤙🤣
Depending on how heavy the pump is, you may want to place it towards the front. As the water is used up the tank will get lighter and then all your weight will be at the rear. Just a thought.
I actually really enjoy these episodes of seeing something "restored" or revived. Exactly what you're trying to do with the entire resort. Super excited to see more content on that elco. You should name the raccoon "Bandit". Or Remi for Remington.

I know a wildlife rehabilitator and she raised a raccon until it could take care of himself. Now every year he comes by and shows her his new babies. I would definitely say the one you have is a juvenile, and raccoons make great pets.
El Camino restore needs a separate video block! Can't wait to hear those dual Hollys (actually, you can't really "hear" carburetors aside from maybe intake hiss, but still....) once they bring it back to life and the exhaust is goin' off, BOYYYYY!!!!

That is a nice trailer. I got a brand new 2015 Performance 6500lb Trailer sitting outside with built in underbelly ramps. Power Coated with 4 new rims and tires and 2 new mounted spares never used with a new floor. Looks brand new miles are from shop and back. All wheels have the nobies on them. 16'.

You may want to bolt the rest of the cross members. The strength of them works with the wood. Without bolting them the angle iron will twist then bend. The bolts and boards prevent that. So multiple cross members work together
How about getting the sediment out of the river while it is dry so it is deeper in front of the resort when the water comes back. Maybe put a weir on the down river side like they have in junction on the Llano river. That way you could have Lake Desperado Ranch next time it stops flowing.
That space between the tank and the front shoud be a tool box with racks for shovels axes and chainsaws. And maybe a few gas cans in covered holders to keep them from flames.
Would love to see VGG help with el Camino. Also, with the extra space on front of trailer consider plastic barrels that you can easily install/remove and fill with water during dry spells.

@@domesticterrorist483I know several people that died from synthetic lines as well. All in marine applications, but anything with tension on it is dangerous. I like the idea of an abandoned saloon. Tucked away in some obscure place on the property, super rustic, maybe half-dug into the side of a hill, surrounded by trees and not visible too far away. Outfitted with some funky lighting, big screens for sports or whatever, beer on tap, some resort branded wines, a couple good scotches and whiskeys. Not too broad a selection of anything. A hangout for guys that want to get away from it all.
Matt the only thing I would have done different is I would have turned the 1/4 angle iron upside down to make square tube which is considerably stronger but otherwise great job. I've been watching you since the vet ranch days and you are a great guy
When I came home a few years back I found that a raccoon had set up a nest under my porch, I noticed my cats outside bowl was empty every night. I set up a camera and found a very large raccoon was stealing his food but also my cat was sharing the food with it. She never approached me but about a month later I notice her with 3 young raccoons. They never seemed to care about me whenever I came out except when the mother was with them. She hissed at me. My wife suggested I try hand feeding one, and with a snickers fun sized in hand I went out. To my surprise one of them came right up and took it and skittered away. Then it became a daily trend with the 3 cubs and their mother who would hiss but still take the snickers. The cubs however became like pets, allowing us to pet them and even on occasion having one or two use the cat door to join us inside. I think they get a bad rap but if you watch them they are a very gently animal. Mischievous but gentle.
@@Jeremycook_ I never domesticated them, they were very much free wild animals who made our home theirs. Rather than call pest control like most people.
When Matt buys a new old car and got to tell mere “I found it on the land” 😂
Absolutely, they totally get a bad rap and it's not accurate at all.
Feeding a wild animal snickers isn't a good idea. But neither is trying to domesticate them so you do you
@@Jeremycook_ I never domesticated them, they were very much free wild animals who made our home theirs. Rather than call pest control like most people. We in the country don’t feel they are the encroachers, rather we are. But I am sure you don’t have that type of life. You saw the one negative rather than all the positive that nature provides. I am sorry if I offended someone with that way of thinking
Williams fire hazard in Beaumont builds fire suppression trailers. My best friend is the lead engineer there.
They will always come back if you feed him or her congrats for having the patience to let it happen 🎉 love you brother
That racoon made the whole video! So cute! Can't wait to see the catcoons!
