so your telling me its not faked? a guy who owns a property for 4months and hasn't checked every corner of it? 3:24 how can he know the interiour was custom done, before even opening the door? Idiot
Matt with the amount of acreage you have if allowed you should make some rain catchment tanks through our your property and perhaps some water towers that can catch water as well. It would make things alot easier; God forbid if a fire actually did break out. The trailer can only hold so much but the water towers and catchment tanks would be easy fill stations. Loving the resort episodes. Lotsa love from Northern West Virginia 💕
Adding onto this, rain collection from the falloff of the roofs of all of the buildings would fill your tanks in a single rain. With enough tanks, you could have free water for a year with only a couple of days of rain.
New(ish) El Camino, you pet a racoon, and a surprisingly good restoration on a trailer. This episode was peak 'Off the ranch'. You need to get rid of the metal cables on your winches in general. You need synthetic winch ropes. They are just as strong and much safer if they do end up breaking
Had a friend who died at work while towing a barge behind his boat with a steel cable.. At sea so a bad combo. Took his head off. I would never stand anywhere near a cable under load.
@@domesticterrorist483I know several people that died from synthetic lines as well. All in marine applications, but anything with tension on it is dangerous. The trailer came out fantastic, but id check the weight rating of the tires you're using, as they might not be up to what you're using it for. Certainly looking forward to seeing the El Camino brought back to life, what a fantastic find that was.
Weight rating on tires is not a static number, it’s based on air pressure and speed as well. As it will be used at low speeds it’s really a none issue. Yes I’m aware of the stamped numbers on the side of the tire, but they go together the weight, speed, and pressure listed are from the same formula, change one number and it changes the rest. So a tire rated at 1,000 pounds for 130miles an hour with 30psi if it’s never going to see higher then 30min it will easily hold a much higher weight without issue.
When I came home a few years back I found that a raccoon had set up a nest under my porch, I noticed my cats outside bowl was empty every night. I set up a camera and found a very large raccoon was stealing his food but also my cat was sharing the food with it. She never approached me but about a month later I notice her with 3 young raccoons. They never seemed to care about me whenever I came out except when the mother was with them. She hissed at me. My wife suggested I try hand feeding one, and with a snickers fun sized in hand I went out. To my surprise one of them came right up and took it and skittered away. Then it became a daily trend with the 3 cubs and their mother who would hiss but still take the snickers. The cubs however became like pets, allowing us to pet them and even on occasion having one or two use the cat door to join us inside. I think they get a bad rap but if you watch them they are a very gently animal. Mischievous but gentle.
@@Jeremycook_ I never domesticated them, they were very much free wild animals who made our home theirs. Rather than call pest control like most people. We in the country don’t feel they are the encroachers, rather we are. But I am sure you don’t have that type of life. You saw the one negative rather than all the positive that nature provides. I am sorry if I offended someone with that way of thinking
You may want to bolt the rest of the cross members. The strength of them works with the wood. Without bolting them the angle iron will twist then bend. The bolts and boards prevent that. So multiple cross members work together

Hey did you make sure that all those two by eight boards were crowned down. Meaning when you look at the end of the two by eight boards do you see a frown or do you see a smile lol when you make the boards so the crown is down. It might not make a difference right now but in the years to come it will keep from having the boards on the the ends curl up they will curl down instead. Just like you rebuilding the deck get a house you always want the frown at the end of the board instead of a :-) because of that same reason

Absolutely, they totally get a bad rap and it's not accurate at all.
Feeding a wild animal snickers isn't a good idea. But neither is trying to domesticate them so you do you
@@Jeremycook_ I never domesticated them, they were very much free wild animals who made our home theirs.
That el Camino would be a good going to town rig
Hey, matt, this video got more than a quarter million views in less than ten hours I believe it's safe to say people want to see your videos. I know I love them.
i love projects like these, keep it up Matt!
I haven't watched all the off the ranch videos for months but i love the cave content I'm on the edge of my seat for the next one
They will always come back if you feed him or her congrats for having the patience to let it happen 🎉 love you brother
Legend has it Matt stole the car and simply said he "found it there"
not like there was tiretracks there on a fresh and clean(ish) car
It’s got a little “don’t tell Mer” about it?
Why do I see you in ever corner of RUclips lmao.
Soon: Look Mere, I found a tank in the forest!
Ah now we know why he bought the resort. To cover up the felonies of a misspent youth. "Hey, I just found an El Camino!" 😂
Good find! Though probably need to check if it has been reported stolen from somewhere. Even decades later that sort of thing can pop up.
May still be in the clear even if it was, but better to find out before putting work in.
When he goes to get the replacement title, that will show up.
@@rustyshackleford8149 Not always. Wider concern is various state DMVs and various enforcement jurisdictions don't always have great communication with each other.
You be right on that old school rule! It makes a difference. Education & experience is a great combination.
