Diana really was in full vocal glory around this time in her career. What a performance. Admirable.

In my opinion Diana Damrau is the best soprano performer of this Salieri 's opera of all times. For many years since Salieri death this opera never was staged neither recorded. It just a miracle ! Bravo Diana!!

Yes, that's not true... She shared the role with two other sopranos. Also this opera "only" premiered 240 years ago!
Not totally true indeed... And mostly because no Opera House put this work in there seasons, not because no one else can sing it. Actually, There are nowadays I know several sopranos who could sing this role if an opera director decided to do a production of it. But rarities like this are often forgotten in front of the Mozart's blockbusters or Rossini's Barbiere unfortunatly.

In quel periodo la Damrau era perfetta. Qua è stata anche troppo brava. L'aria è difficilissima e il tempo preso secondo me è stato troppo lento. In questo modo la cantante la sfianchi, non dandole modo di gestire il fiato al meglio. Io preferisco questa versione qui, fatta in studio nel 2007:
