Absolutely love these videos! You perfectly show how you can be plant based and still have healthy, flavorful, quick, easy...and cost effective ways to fuel for running. Keep these coming.
I just ate dinner but I'm hungry again now after watching😋!!!! l love making what I eat in a day videos too they're fun. Oh and I was kind of disappointed it wasn't a recovery cake :)))))) Nice one Ben
I love these types of meals. Everyone around me eats sandwiches etc for lunch and I'm sitting on my lunch break at work with a full on dinner for lunch 😂
Great video Ben, as always. Would be great if volume levels were a bit more even in your vids - have to turn up to hear you but then the music comes in absolutely blaring!
You should consider making your own muesli Ben. I used to buy the “expensive” brands from the supermarket that were allegedly super healthy... but I noticed they all have heaps of added sugar. I just buy rolled oats in bulk and add my favourite nuts, dried berries, chia seeds etc and it’s way better than the stuff you can buy! Anyway, keep up the awesome work - loving the vlogs!
Great video, as always Ben!! Although still not sure how to take you not drinking tea, I personally like it to much too want to live without it! Really good to see what your diet consists off and how its different from mine whilst giving a few hinters at what I can do to improve my diet!
These videos do always make life seem way more perfect than it really is.. I can't live like that every day, but on that day it is genuinely what I had. We still eat out, have fast food now and then and more fun things. But all in moderation. Hope all is well with you Ellis!
Another excellent video Ben. I find all your videos very inspirational in terms of helping keep my interest in running going, even at a doddery old age. Thank you and best wishes.
Hey Ben, i like to give u a small tip after having loads from ur side. Try some roasted almonds, they digest better and the nutrients will be better absorbed by ur body. It applies for most shellfruit. Thank u for ur nice video's. They have been very helpfull already!

Hi Ben could you give me some tips on a good home workout? This Coronavirus makes it too dangerous to run outside, I’m in the same province as Wuhan with my luck 😂
Thank you Ben, it has to be delicious, I am very grateful for this video, It shows a lot of good meals to taste :) You are doing great job as always :) And i feel that after my comment below your question what we wanna see in 2020 :) (i think it was s4e15?? in Spain for sure :) you did this video for me ! :DD
Ahh you're plant based.. now I think you're even cooler! I eat a lot of oats, rice, bananas, nuts and vegetables daily.. occasionally beans and wholemeal bread.. but what I cannot give up is my favourite yoghurt and CHEESE. I LOVE oats with yoghurt and I always mix a slice of cheese in with steamed rice (cheesy rice!). Don't know how to give these two things up. I do mostly eat just plain whole foods but ... yeah I still have to work on some stuff (oh, and my addiction to diet sodas... that's a BIG problem of mine!)
And now I'm convinced that I'm wrong in so many ways...Like they say: ''Food is fuel!" I usually have my runnings in the evening, and when I'm returning, it seems wrong to eat at such a late hour. The next day I have pains in my entire body an usually my meals are replaced by tones of coffees. So, as I said, wrong in so many ways...But love the video. Learning everyday! :)
Coffee (Caffeine) is proven to increase athletic performance by 3-4%. I'm surprised you never experimented with it prior to a key race. Much respect for being the next level clean.
I always thought that bowl was a basket type thing with holes all around the top, only now after seeing it up close in this video have I realised it’s actually just blue paint 🤯😂

Your breakfast is like mine. Except I hate any kind of coconut-stuff. Many energybars, when I run ultras, are with some coconut. It makes me vomit, literaly ! At work, in the middle of the day, I have the same, but ad a hole sliced apple. Then around 15 - 16 I have a dark rye bread with ooold cheese, so I can run after work. After the run, when I'm back home, I usually do some wok of different styles. I drink coffee, tea and water. But I'm not "religious" so from time to time I happily eat toasts and cake 😊
Obviously coming to this over 2 years later, ha - but was surprised to see 1000mcg of B12 a day. I've experimented with that and it gave me crazy dreams. I take 25mcg/day now. I still get bright yellow pee for most of the day, even at that amount!
We recycle everything at home that can be recycled. You can never win.. we either buy fresh and some of the food inevitably gets thrown away as it goes off, or buy frozen, which usually means reduced carbon footprint and no waste of food. Whichever option I do, someone will say I should be doing the opposite! :-)
In general nowadays waste disposed of ends up at an incinerator where the heat is used to generate electricity for feeding into the national grid. Gases from the stack are scrubbed to prevent atmospheric pollution. Hence the plastics are used and do not pollute the environment where incinerators are available, which they generally are in the London area.
@@BenParkes thanks for the response Ben. I get if your competing/travelling you need to tightly control what you can eat/when. in Australia where I'm from there is some soft-plastic recycling, but it's fairly easy to get quality fresh organic produce all year round.
Could you possibly say how many grams of chia seeds, oatmeal, muesli, etc that you pour into your bowl? People always say they have a bowl of oatmeal, but no bowl is the same size.
If you're deficient in a certain nutrient, it might not necessarily show up on bloods tests. Calcium blood concentration, for example, is tightly regulated by the body. If the concentration falls, calcium will be taken from the bones. Science isn't as advanced as some people think. I recommend you experiment and trust how you feel and perform, rather than relying on the results from your blood tests...
