What a great review of this new book! Love how you take us chapter by chapter, explaining exactly what we can expect to learn. Thank you for adding the bonus material at the end demonstrating some of the products and how they are used. I have to comment on what a fantastic, professional job you did putting it all together, the video editing, just the right lighting, perfect subtle music, beautiful demonstrations, and your voice has such a calming effect it makes the listener want to stay. You were made to do this!
Wow Will, what a great review! Of course I fell in love with these products and her book already a few months ago, so you didn't have to convince me at all. But your voice is so pleasant to listen to, your editing and filming techniques are superb and the story you tell makes sense in all ways! My real compliments!! And of course... gamechanging products!!
Thank you so much for this review! I have definitely decided to purchase this book. It is very reasonably priced and I was tempted to get it both in paperback and e-book - to look at on my Ipad - but I decided on just the physical book! Lol! I am so looking forward to getting my hands on this!
OK, I've invested in the book and the pencils, and bought mysef some strathmore toned paper, but is it absolutely necessary to get the blending powder, white titnium and fixative? I'm only asking because I'm on a very tight budget, and buying the book and pencils practically wiped me out. I so want to do this, but I'm hoping I can following along to the book by just shading in the ordinary fashion and using a blending pencil and a burnishing pencil to finish, and get away with not having to use the other stuff, as much as I would like too. Can you confirm for me that it would still be possible to use this book if I don't have the other stuff? I hope to get it all a bit later on, just can't afford it yet unfortunately. Thanks
the fixative is for the final piece, it is not meant to be worked over. Only the textured fixative should be used to add additional layers of colored pencil.

Thank for the review. Now I have to buy the book. :)
Loved this information. What paper do you use?
looks like a great buy. although I don't draw realistically this should still help me color my more manga style drawings. thanks for sharing
What a great presentation of a great book!
Thank you very much. How does this compare to Nickelsen's other book?
I'm not sure, I do not have it. However, I do know that this book is a specialized technique. Her other book covers a variety of techniques.
@@UnmaskArt Thank you.
Do you have to use the texture or can you just use the fixative to get mor cp layers?
