    Dungeons is without a doubt going to be the best option at launch. What you and all other guide makers seem to forget is that rep is goin to be more important than hitting lvl 70 as fast as possible. The lvl 60-69 dungeons do not give rep after you become honored so grinding them BEFORE doing any quest for the same faction is preferable since quests give rep regardless your current standing. This also lets you have tons of quests left when you hit 70, and all the exp from those quests are converted to gold instead. Clearing Netherstorm alone is like 800g, almost your whole flying mount cost.
    The 30 daily instance limit isn't going to be a problem either. Unless you have full T3 you won't clear dungeons fast enough to come close to 30 dungeon runs per day. I mean, sure if you play for 18 hours straight without having to form a new group, but thats too sweaty for most of us. If you play 8 hours a day you will never come close to 30 dungeon runs. And if you somehow magically do, don't skip half the mobs in the dungeon. Kill them all, they give both xp and rep.
    Oh, and getting attuned to Karazhan is not a nightmare. If you don't consider running 4 dungeons on normal difficulty a nightmare. Sure, some dungeons require a key but if you are not no lifing and getting first 70 someone else is gonna have the key, either in your guild or in a pug. And even if you are among the first that just makes it 6 dungeons to run at 70. I really dont know what you mean by "days or weeks of farming", for most people its gonna be an afternoon.

      The grinding of rep before hitting 70 is a very good point that I forgot about, thanks for reminding me I'll make sure to mention it in future videos !

      There is a caveat, though. If Blizzard rolls out TBC with the catchup mechanics of 2.4.3 only honored is required to access heroic dungeons and if that is the case, dungeon grinding becomes much less important as you can gain honored pretty much from only doing quests. I don't think they will, though, since the community wouldn't really like that.
      Sorry if I came across as a bit hostile in my earlier post, I was in a bad mood. You handled it professionally.

    • @LikeVenom18

      @@joeltarnabene5026 the community WOULD like honored option much more than the revered one, trust me on that one. we had revered for heroics on Atlantiss TWICE and people were annoyed af about it. there just no point in grinding so many normals just to unlock heroic mode. it's not challenging, it's not "harder", it's boring. it's all so much more fun when HC is unlocked as normal content easily becomes boring and linear. oh and finding heroic groups is just MUCH harder that way too as there's fewer people eligible to enter a heroic

    • @joeltarnabene5026
      @joeltarnabene5026 3 года назад

      @@LikeVenom18
      Lol, I also play on Atlantiss, and you are not speaking for the community there.
      The thing about private tbc server is that they usually die out so people are not as willing to put time into a character, since they have to redo the work once a new server drops. That is not gonna be a problem for official servers.
      The thing with revered is not that it's harder, it's that it requires a time investment, and not really an unreasonable one either. That you find them tiresome because you did them 10 times already on alts is not a problem with the game but you being burned out on TBC. Aside from that, getting revered is actually harder with most factions since you need to run the trickier dungeons like Shattered halls to get rep after honored, so it's not just a time sink.
      You say that HC is less "linear" than normal dungeons?
      What?!?!
      I'm not sure you know what that word means. The only difference between the two is difficulty, not linearity.
      And finding HC groups is not harder when playing on a server that has a healthy player base. Atlantiss has lost loads of players due to how difficult and buggy the raids are, and those who are eligible to run HC are taking a break until T6 drops. Those who are not eligible are taking a break until December patch that nerfes the content. This will not be a problem in TBC classic. Hell, it's not really a problem on Atlantiss either if you get a guild with competent players. HC is supposed to be hard, and something you play after you gear in Kara, not before.
      I also had many guild members getting revered way before they got all their pre bis pieces so to stop running normal dungeons was not an option for them anyway.
      You are not making much sense, other than letting us know that you are one of those "I want my epics now" kind of player. Exactly the kind of player who later expansions was made for.
      Oh, and if you did what I suggested in my original post, starting with dungeons before quests, you have to run like 4 normals for every faction to get revered. It's not an unresonable time investment. If you didn't, and rushed to 70 instead. Well, that's on you.

    • @LikeVenom18
      @LikeVenom18 3 года назад

      @@joeltarnabene5026 about the community, yes i can talk about it, since pretty much my entire guild quit the server as they couldn't find enough capable people to run T4 only. we were a guild with majority of members having a job and other commitments and T5 on start basically meant that you had to raid every day. about linearity, in normal dungeons you're just running through, while in HC, you actually need to have a different approach depending on your group. in some dungeons you have to save CDs for certain mobs, in some you need to CC, you need to be careful with pulls most of the time and bosses are more difficult. i hate boring content and normals ARE boring to run, while i had tons of fun running heroics with my friends/guild for basically the entirety of the expansion. i used to be a hardcore raider (one of the leaders actually) and i know how time consuming raids are on TBC IF YOU HAVE T5 ON START. if you have gated content (meaning T4 only at start, then T5, then T6), that's not an issue and everyone can enjoy the game. i'm a PVPer before anything else, but i do like raiding also, and no, i don't care even remotely as much about the gear as you said i did. i basically geared my entire hardcore guild in T5 before i even got a 2nd T5 piece for myself, so just stop talking as if you know anything about me. you can track the general population on atlantiss and see how fast the server is falling apart. that's not because people are "waiting" for content, that's because only those who have such large amount of time to play (aka students, NEETs, people without wives or relationships, etc) remained to play the game. PVP is dead, i explained the reason for it already. the itemization is 2.0, WHICH WAS CHANGED FOR A REASON ON RETAIL!!!! yet, they still implement it on private servers in order to "prevent" people from downing Kael before 2.1 content and using "IT WAS BLIZZLIKE EXPERIENCE" as an excuse. no matter how you look at it, there's NOTHING positive about the 2.0 itemization - it's boring, unrewarding, the gear doesn't motivate you to actually clear stuff, if you want to be a healer and do some farming in the open world - well, GL with that. there's just sooo many flaws with all of this and agree or not, but the general community does not want the environment as it is on atlantiss and i named many reasons why. i mean, you said it yourself that if i took leveling at a slower pace, that's on me - meaning, it's my fault i'm behind for raiding, also meaning that you don't understand the time required vs the time available. you might be able to play 8-12 hours a day, so you can justify it. for everyone else that has some life priorities and wants to treat WoW as a GAME and still enjoy it at their own pace, there's no place for us in a game with T5 on start. there's also no place for people that want to play arenas, as the entire PVP is dead. that's not the case on ANY WOTLK server and it wouldn't be the case on atlantiss either if the content was gated and the itemization wasn't that 2.0 garbage.

  • @fejufa5660
    @fejufa5660 3 года назад +17

    Some points seem overexaggerated:
    - Attunements for Karazhan e.g. doesn't require "hardcore players days of grind" it simply, after a short prequest, needs you to run 5 high level instances on normal mode.
    => also the graph you show can be very misleading, letting someone believe that this are the requirements for Karazhan, but it's for ALL Raidcontent in TBC.
    - Same goes for your Dungeon Grind: the lockout wont be a problem for 99 % of the population, since they wont be able to finish hellfire Ramparts within 12 minutes.
    Edit:
    Some points are just not true at all:
    - Badges of justice were first only obtainable in HEROIC Dungeons - not like you said in 25 man raids.
    You seem to heavily put perspective on a "hardcore" standpoint, especially comparing TBC to classic e. g. for Raids in classic you bring "few mages, few warlocks and hunters and the rest you stack rogues and warriors." that's simply not true and I'm convinced that more than 90 % of the guilds in classic don't bring 15+ Warrior DPS in their raids.
    How to improve:
    - as stated before you seem to come with a heavy "hardcore" bias => be aware on that
    - be precise on the information given. here the example with the badges of justice, where it's clearly written "heroic and normal daily dungeon quests"
    Good luck in the future with your video making

Black Temple has an additional attunement quest line, though it mostly takes place in the raids you'll be doing before the Black Temple anyway.

    Slight correction, bosses in heroic dungeons always dropped badges of justice, they just didn't add the heroic daily quest for bonus badges until later. Also, until a late patch in tbc, you could not summon people in netherstorm or in the dungeons there, so warlocks wont let you cheat the flying mount requirement for TK dungeons.

    Not gonna lie: People wont get the same, original TBC experience as they had in 2007 because of videos like this. For my part, its not about getting as much XP per hour as possible, farm 5 dungeons per hour and get lvl 70 in 2 days. I want to enjoy the game. Enjoy Outland, the quests, the atmosphere...everything.
    People say, you cant recreate the Classic experience. No you cant. If everything is about rushing thorugh the content and getting bored after 2 weeks and quit the game, its clearly not the same..
    No offense, you did a great video. But u feed the "I NEED TO GET TO MAX LEVEL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND GET ALL THE GEAR AS FAST AS POSSIBLE" - playstyle, which (IMO!) ruins the classic and the TBC experience.

    • @NumidiaWoW
      @NumidiaWoW  3 года назад +2

      I think everyone should play the game at the pace they enjoy the most ! No one should feel forced to parse or reach max level super fast if they don't want to and if people don't like that there's a lot of chill and casual oriented guilds that share the same mentality, the people you play with literally define how much you will enjoy the game !
      With that said a lot of players nowadays are looking for the fastest way to do X or the most efficient way to do Y, and all you see content creators do is answer to that demand because at the end of the day we need to make content that our audience wants to watch.
      However I also do content for newer and casual players as you can see in my beginner's playlist, those videos don't do as good because those types of players are rarely looking for tutorials on youtube but I still make them because I want to share this important message with every casual / new player : Find a community of people that you will enjoy playing the game with, whether you're a casual or a hardcore player, play with people like minded and everything else is just small beans :D

    I don't know about anyone else, but I realized that Classic is a step in the right direction for me, but is not "it".
    I am looking forward to in TBC:
    -Gear with stats that largely improve scaling to allow Max Level feel powerful. On Classic, a few level 30's can kill a level 60 since the gear and stats isn't so drastic. In addition, guards from certain area's can mug you up. I don't feel the sense of "Power" per say as a Max Level Tier 2 Geared Character, but maybe that's just me.
    -Raids being pushed down to 20. Although it was nice to revisit 40 man raids, in my opinion, it's not optimal and way too much to handle as far as everyone showing up + everyone paying attention.
    -World Buffs not being a thing
    -Professions being more utilized even more so than Classic
    -Revamp of PVP system + Arena +BG's actually being relevant and not filled with sweaty premades non stop
    - And lastly off the top of my head, More specs and classes seem to have utility compared to that of Classic.

      rogues can't heal in TBC. dunno where you got that from. i agree with playing what you like, but depending on what content you're doing and how geared you are, it DOES matter what spec you are. the only thing you can tank as a ret pala, unless you're overgeared, are normals.

    AOE was really only nerfed for the massive 300+ Mara pulls. Arcane Explosion, for instance, has to hit 25 mobs in order to even trigger the damage cap in TBC. That is more than viable for grinding dungeons.

    • @NumidiaWoW
      @NumidiaWoW  3 года назад

      I was more thinking about Scarlet monastery early on when classic first released a lot of mages were doing that dungeon for many many levels stacking thousands of EXP/Hour, and those were way more than 25 mobs per pull. So I compared that to farming hellfire ramparts using that same method and it's going to be nowhere close to what it was.
      Is aoe farming dungeons with mages still going to be kinda viable ? Certainly, is it going to be as crazy as it was in classic ? Definitely not.

    I just hope that Blizzard won't utilize that notorious Sunwell nerf patch, that nerfed all of the raids significantly (-30% hp reduction and dmg reduction on all raid monsters and bosses).
    But I get the feeling that they just don't care or bother what the community wants, so they'll just push out that latest TBC patch that included those raid nerfs, clap each others back and say "work complete" like Peons that they are.

      Any shaman will have a very easy time to find a raiding spot because you always need at least 5 per raid to cover every group's Bloodlust/Heroism, and from what I understand it's pretty hard to get 5 shamans consistently so I think you'll be fine.
      And on top of that enhancement shamans do good DPS.

    • @LikeVenom18
      @LikeVenom18 3 года назад

      @ other than the PVP part you mentioned, you're wrong otherwise. shamans do get invited, not because of their damage, but because of their utility. having totems to buff you is so valuable to everyone in the group. warrior and druid tanks, especially with a resto druid in their groups, will take enh shaman over any pure DPS class because of the resurrection ability. furthermore, if you wipe, a shaman can reincarnate and revive everyone else. these things are so meaningful because people will die in heroics and wipes will happen.

    actually, Hunters and warlocks are the best dps classes in TBC. warriors and rogues are bottom tier, at least until Tier 6. do not pick those if you want a raid spot in a serious guild. Well, I shouldsn't say, you won't get a raid spot, there is spot for 1-2 rogues and 1-2 warriors in the raid, the lonely rogue in the raid is there to apply weakness (assassin or sub rogue, don't remember) and warrior to apply sunder armor. the rest of the dps will be mages, warlocks, hunters and ele shaman (totem of wrath is fantastic for caster group). in Tier 6, rogues finally get good gear that makes them viable. Tier 6 and warglaives make them beasts. but that is very late in the expansion. the same with fury warriors, they can also use the warglaives.
    as for tanks: Druids are the best tank from early TBC until tier 6. in Tier 6, Paladin and warrior catch up. So if you look at classic now.. the roster gets turn completely on it's head, what sucks now will be fantastic and whats fantastic now wuill suck. so all you fury warriors out there.. time to reroll

    • @LikeVenom18
      @LikeVenom18 3 года назад

      @@TheNebulose releasing TBC as it was released originally is a HUGE mistake. it only worked back then because people didn't know anything about the game and had to figure all of that out on their own. atlantiss released T5 on start TWICE already, with 2.0 itemization as well as pre-nerfed and heavily buffed values. all hardcore and semi-hardcore guilds are 3/4 TK and 5/6 SSC despite that, while PVP is dead. why is PVP dead, you might ask? because it's arena season 1, just like it was on the original - and that gear doesn't even come remotely close to the T5 gear. the next issue is that casual and mid-level guilds do not exist anymore, because all the decent players have either joined better guilds or they aren't playing because of obligations, because in TBC with T5 released on start, you WILL have to raid AT LEAST 20 hours a week (5 raid days), with majority of guilds that progressed into T5 are raiding 28 hours a week. that's just absurdly time consuming. releasing T5 on start is just a horrible idea that shouldn't even be considered. i guarantee it will ruin the entire game.

    If all the raiding naxx level warriors an rogues level to 70 it will be a gods send for five man normal an heroic group forming.

Proud to be a member of the top 50 guilds who cleared Sunwell back in the day, and since our guild was just so far ahead of the other guilds on the server it felt like a real achievement having a good amount of gear from those raids before the server second kills even happened.
      Sadly the guild broke up early into WotLK because of lack of interest and people quitting after we cleared the first raid tiers and got our Black and Played Proto Drakes a couple weeks in. The content in early WotLK was such a step down in difficulty in comparison and people just got bored and burnt out. We did manage to do the Ulduar hardmodes but with most of the core raid having been replaced and i personally quit for a while after that myself. Once Yogg 0 grind was over i was burnt out myself and lost interest, which is a shame because I enjoyed ICC and it would have been nice to have done it on Heroic with a solid group in the server first race, but I ended up just doing it in a semi casual guild eventually when I came back since the original guild had ended up meeting and eventually breaking up before then.

    I feel like I'm the only one who thinks TBC is a bad idea. It just sets a bad precedent. What after TBC? Classic Wrath? Okay. Then Classic Cata? Does anyone REALLY want to start down that path knowing where it ends up? All they're doing is progression servers from EQ. I don't think that's what everyone who loves and plays classic wants. I promise you if they announced classic as progression servers people would be pissed.

    • @NumidiaWoW
      @NumidiaWoW  3 года назад +3

      I think re-releasing the trilogy of Classic Vanilla, Classic TBC, Classic Wrath every 6 years is enough to make a lot of people very happy for the rest of their lives, me included !
      Maybe even down the line have all those versions running simultaneously at once so that people play what they enjoy the most.
      Also I'm not a fan of Cata myself but I feel like the same arguments people were making against the release of Classic could be said for Classic Cata, which would be selfish to do, so if there's a demand for Classic Cata I say give people what they want even if I myself wouldn't be interested in playing it.

    • @ryuoki1
      @ryuoki1 3 года назад +1

      But on the alternate side, NOT providing any expansion content beyond Classic will kill the game itself far faster than releasing expansions, IMO. Most games that do not get DLC/Xpac content once in awhile tend to die off as players get bored of doing the same thing over and over and over again. Classic WoW will be just the same. Do you still play Borderlands 2 in these past 8 years since release? It has several DLC available, but they don't last more than a day or two to complete. The goal is to keep people paying for subscriptions, and stale games don't encourage people to shell out more money. I for one was lost to Blizzard when they simplified the talent system from the trees we are enjoying in Classic, to the noobified cookie cutter talent system that retail uses today. Though I understand why they did it.
      There are still private servers I assume because I have seen content posters like Numidia speaking about playing on TBC servers currently, even having streaming raids via youtube. And if they will activate the ability to stop acquiring XP, players can stop at 60 (or twink levels) and just do classic content (which doesn't change much really until (I think it was) Wrath when world elites were eliminated) to their hearts content while not having to set up all new servers just for an expansion, and the hassle of moving players around. The current servers can handle the general player loads without costing too much more out of pocket for creation or consolidation of servers due to mass exodus of players.
      The only other alternative I see for Classic to progress would be for them to create all new content. And that is a considerable undertaking of resources (primarily workers). Verant did the right thing with EQ until Sony took over. They released at least 3 expansions without need for level cap increases, and that didn't utterly destroy all previous necessity of past raid content. Everything was still relatively viable until PoP came out and the level cap was raised from 60 - 65. Now Sony has milked it's cash cow to dust spamming out expansions.

      @TookyG No you are far from the only one who thinks this way, I have seen this type of comment in many forums. I have yet to understand how the logic works, why do we haft to think 5 years ahead, why does that matter so much? There was a big demand for vanilla wow, blizz decided to make it. people are now enjoying playing vanilla, end of story. They might stop here or continue making more expansions, who knows. If they make progression servers there will still be classic vanilla only servers 100% for those who want to stay, so why would they be pissed?
      " What after TBC? Classic Wrath? Okay. Then Classic Cata? " I highly doubt it, but if there is a high demand for cata, why not? It wont affect you in anyway, you can stay in the expansion you prefer.
      Atm classic wow is a great sucess, with a huge playerbase even more than a year after, but eventually these numbers will dwindle. So either wow classic " dies " in a few years ( I am sure there will be enough players to atleast have a healty player population on a few servers ) or they continue into Tbc > Wotlk and extend the WoW classic journey with many years.

    • @ryuoki1

      @@jimmyandersson9938 Not all of us came back to classic just for vanilla content (much of that is still available as well as turning off xp gains if you just want to stay 60). Some (probably most) of us came back for the customized characters the talent trees provided us the ability to have rather than the cookie cutter communistic style characters of retail with minimal options of customization and uniqueness. Personally I prefered TBC and WotLK because they balanced all specs of every class far better than this current original. And I played through every release personally.

    Resilience is over rated. Pve gear is better for many classes that are good at positioning and crowd control. Resilience only matters if you get hit in the first place. For example if you suck.

      this is plain wrong, all classes need resilience.

    you either didn't play TBC "recently" or you did it at an extremely casual level by playing like 30 minutes a day. i'm not the type of person to cling onto every single word someone says and dissect it, but saying it takes DAYS to do the kara attunement for a hard core player? karazhan was fully cleared on every private server within the 2-3 days of realm first level 70. a random player can do the entire quest chain in 12 hours game time - it's seriously not long or demanding at all and there's only 4 NORMAL dungeons you need to do (normal is capitalized because you don't need any pre-requisites to enter them, however having keys for two of them does ease things a BIT): Shadow Labyrinth, Steam Vaults, Arcatraz, The Black Morass. upon finishing BM, you're attuned and ready to enter.
    saying that only Magtheridon's Lair requires attunement is false and that other raids require months of prior content is just silly. Gruul's Lair doesn't have any attunement requirement either. in order to enter the SSC, you need to kill Gruul and Nightbane after accepting the quest at SP heroic. as for TK attunement, it is a lengthy quest chain, but the vast majority of it is doable in a single day. the trials are tough unless you have some gear, but why would you even consider raiding T5 unless you are already geared? that quest chain can be started as soon as you reach level 67 and can almost be completed by the time you reach max level. however, i seriously hope they'll gate content so that we do NOT have T5 on start.
    dailies should NOT be in the game on start. they should be added when BT is added (T6) - Ogri'la, Sha'tari Skyguards, Netherwing.

    They should continue with Wrath of the Lich King and then stop. The three perfect and original games imo.
