Really the worst part now is we have to wait for it. Don't get me wrong I love Classic and I'm still hype for AQ and Naxx especially. But TBC just adds more depth to the same great game we love. Raiding is so much more fun, PvP is more fleshed out and balanced. BRING IT ON BABY
the worst part is that it will immediately trivialize everything that's be done so far by players in classic, as well as contradicting the entire idea of what classic is about.

You cry that a bunch of people in the past didn't want you to have classic and "Why can't you let us have what we want?" Yet here you are doing the EXACT same thing, to people who want TBC/WOTLK. 2 Versions of wow which are still MASSIVELY popular among the community. Yet you don't want us to have it? Because it doesnt fit YOUR narrative of what the game is about?
To me. TBC was the best wow has ever been with WOTLK being there for many others as well, and will ever be (Unless blizzard wakes up) and IMHO MoP and Legion were the closest they ever were to TBC/WOTLK.
To MANY of us. TBC and WOTLK were IMPROVEMENTS on Classic wow.
Also to MANY of us, TBC is what completed the development of World of Warcraft, because to Us even tho Classic was a good game, it was semi incomplete, and TBC Finished and completed it, with WOTLK Refining more.
So get off your high horse, and do what you told many Anti-Classic players probably in the past "Let people have the version of the game THEY want" and stop being negative about it. If you want Classic stay there. Me and MANY others want TBC as well as WOTLK.

I hope we get fresh TBC servers asap, i will still raidlogg vanilla, but TBC has so much more to offer over all in the everyday content department 🙂 what they decide to do later on when naxx has been farmed out is not something i would have to think about just yet. If we got fresh TBC servers very soon me and the rest of the community could start our adventure a-new those who does not want to do that can wait around for the vanilla servers lifespan to end, and then decide what to do 🙂👍
@@Ao2BairdTUR just remember that little speech when you get both TBC and Lich King but "many" in the "real" wow community want Cataclysm and Pandaria because those expansions "completed" and "refined" a "good" but "semi-incomplete" game. Your insistence on more content until you're satisfied is what ruined wow to begin with. It's the same reason really any game gets water-down and overdone; it's why devs of any game work insane hours and get nothing but toxicity and vitriol from insatiable window shopping fans. It's the entire reason classic has done so well. Classic was supposed to be the version of the game before you guys got everything you wanted. Now we're back on our way to modern wow.
Finally, some good news for once. While I love Classic, I'm a BC baby. I'd love to go back to the opening of the portal since I missed that event. I'm so excited!

@@DovahChicken You'll enjoy TBC :) I actually enjoyed it a lot more than Vanilla but both are good. Also, there were leveling add-ons and such in the past with arrows of where to go and guides telling you which quests to take. Having played both of Vanilla and Classic, I would say most of everything feels similar except for the raiding scene. TBC and Wrath are good (though the end of Wrath is kind of meh outside of ICC)
@@BetterYouNow I played both Vanilla and TBC in its original form. Classic has been awesome to me and has brought back so many fond memories and created new ones. Don't assume things about other people's experiences and don't try and speak for others simply because it didn't happen for you.
Definitely excited for the new changes to come in TBC.
I agree with everything you say TipsOut - My friend who works with Blizzard said I might get my wish. Dark Portal Opening and chance to get the tabard and the chance to get Amani War Bear and the titles I missed out on from TBC because I joined at the end of 2007. They also told me that there was some chatter about Arthas.... But that i should keep praying to the gaming gods and paying my sub!

Now I know many want classic plus and others want TBC and hope for WOTLK. But if they take it that far. Could do a different story ark from after WOTLK. instead of moving in to cata and messing it all up again. Maybe consider adding the stuff that could have been from classic plus as well as anything that was not added or finished during TBC and WOTLK. So it could become a more well put together story line over all.
I would like to see a fresh server with level 1,or character copy with only soul bound items worn( no gold or items) or finally 1 free level 58, which i would prefer, so i could reroll alliance for good pvp queues.

To me it didn't seem like too big of a question if classic TBC came out or even Wotlk, considering the popularity of classic vanilla. However there's still one very big underlying question in my mind; HOW will they release the next classic expansions? Back in the day, you were more or less forced into upgrading your account to the next expansion. I guess its still like this. But will the classic servers be the same? Will the current classic vanilla servers evolve into tbc servers or will we get the option to stay in vanilla mode / transfer our chars onto a tbc server? or something along those lines.. can we keep playing vanilla in vanilla mode or not when tbc comes out?
I can't wait to get back to the Isle of Quel'danas!!!

Well, that was an earful, no mistake. I am enjoying classic, most of the people on are a world of difference from those on retail. It's apparent, just from the file structure they set up, ~\_retail_ and ~\_classic_ that they made it so as to seamlessly add other xpacs like ~\_theburningcruside_ and ~\_wrathofthelichking_. It might even be possible to just create classic TBC and classic WotLK layers on the existing classic servers so you can move your level 60 onward (maybe your guild too) or start a new toon on the server you're on now so the people in your Azeroth will, more or less, remain the same. The missus dropped out and went back to SWTOR but has expressed interest in returning if they release Classic TBC. If I had to guess, they might announce TBC at this year's blizzcon. If they've already been working on it, it might release in 2021 and wotlk in 2023. Hope I'm still around for both. : ) Thank you for your best wishes with regards covid-19. I hope you and yours will be able to stay clear of this pandemic.
as a shaman main I'm super excited for all the stuff they get in TBC, dual wield, water shield, wrath of air totem, fire and earth elementals, and bloodlust!!!
i was ready to move on from wow until that BC character survey went out, now i resubbed for classic with the hope that bc/wrath get added
if they released wrath servers i hope they give us the time in TBC first. This is a long shot but i would enjoy wrath more if they released hardcore servers without dungeon finder and catch up badge mechanics so we have to earn our stripes i understand that's a big change to the structure of the game and probably not possible but it is a hope. i mean alot of us know the mechanics now and i dont really want to be spamming heroics and would like to keep the community tightly woven

FInally good news I started WoW just before TBC and was never a huge fan of Vanilla. But during TBC is when I created my forsaken lock and fell in love with the game and I still main that same lock to this very day. The one thing I do hope for is for the option to start a fresh 58 on a new TBC server because I just can get myself to log back into classic and level my toon who I left at 42.

thanks again tips for another great vid. I just really hope the #no-changes fans had their fill of no changes in classic. And i got it, classic is a lost gem... but lets be real here. TBC would, and could, benefit from alot of changes that could easily be brought into the game. Like RBGs. Why not have it? its a great measure and it really drives guilds and communities to succeed

5/6, 3/4, 3/5, 3/9 Guild LF geared Tank - hahah. Don't remember if those numbers were exactly right now, but ahh can see the guild recruitment posts already! :-P Loved TBC and Wrath (had so much fun with shadow priest and disc priest in those xpacs)! Would love to see this announcement!
Well before the last patch numbers will be 5/6 3/4 only due to attunement process
wotlk would need a overhaul to keep the oldschool feel , reworking loot tables to remove gear token ect , obviously no group finder and more
Group finder i do not mind if they remove, tokens though is a good part of what made TBC and WotLK so good, you no longer had to wait your turn and hope you got something, it also made running lower tier content more worthwhile. And in TBC with the long attunements you would have incentive to do the dungeons either for yourself, or to help the others get the achieves 🙂 i loved the daily dungeon, and HC dailies.
Vanilla has gear tokens, BWL was the last raid to drop tier instead of a token.
having never played WoW back in the day i was so poor that i played Guild Wars instead. Playing classic was so amazing for me, utterly loved my journey to level 60 and had so many player interactions, but I'm not into raiding just doesn't interest me so i kinda did everything i wanted levelled a second character up and after 400 hours was done with classic. TBC and Wrath a year or so after it is exactly what i want, to level again and do new dungeons and maybe even level up a new character, i think it should stop after Wrath tho, but what then? Will we then see Wrath + content?

If they do wrath classic it has to not only be without RDF until the icc phase, but when RDF eventually does release with the phase that contains the 3.3 changes, it HAS to be realm specific. Cross realm RDF will kill all and any community there is to be found... The people who you enter a dungeon with through RDF should only be from your own realm. That's the only change I would want to be made to wrath classic.

I worry that history will repeat itself in more than one way with TBC. If announced before phase 6, a lot guilds will yet again take a break and not keep pushing naxx since it will be obsolete in a few months. Also, TBC was definitely a guild killer with vanilla 40 mans squished to TBC 25mans. Both things happened to my guild in vanilla. But like you said Tips, all things come to an end. Classic has been a fun ride. Looking forward to Naxx and downing Kel still.
I think it'd be fine as long as they allow for many months of phase 6, which I think will probably be true.

Mostly on board with what you're saying but Hearthstone Expansion has nothing, zero, nada to do with TBClassic. Hearthstone expansions are all themed and that's all there is to it. TBClassic is still so far away so there's no "priming" of players for TBClassic just yet. First come AQ and then we have AT LEAST 6 months of Naxxramas. My hopeful guess would be that we will get a "release date next week" announcement on Blizzcon 2021 with a "TBC is coming announcement" on this years BlizzCon. That alone shuts the hearthstone connection out of scope :)
But yeah, all in all I'm very happy with TBC coming. It's the one expansion I could actually see myself playing for longer, especially because there's so many ways to get proper gear with the dungeon catch up mechanics of Sunwell Island. I loved raiding Sunwell. My only hope is that we will get better tuning of things. "no changes" shouldn't happen. Bosses should be hard. It should not be their end-of-expansion-nerfed-to-shit-versions.
I agree with the ease of content, if they go with nerfed content the expansion will loose the feel it had to it.

Unlike classic, we don't know how tbc will play, what's bis is more subjective and I believe we will see things new to classic be integrated into tbc gameplay. Since No good tbc private servers have become before this we cant tell how community affected systems will turn out . Classic was a successful launch and blizzard knows that so tbclassic should change blizzards entire approach to games.
They know what worked they know what didn't. Tbc will say why and what to do next.

I think they should have waited at least till after nax before they start hyping TBC.
Hopefully they will implement some changes, that will prevent what happened on most PvP servers, with the Alliance being annihilated by the Horde. But I doubt it, and in the end it will just be the same situation on the TBC servers as it is on the current Classic servers.
with both factions getting all playable classes, it balances out the factions a TON. the main reason there's a difference in classic is Shamans are godmode
@@brucesamuelson7337 It always was and always will be unbalanced with 2 factions, unless Blizz comes out with something complete new, like they did in original 1k winters with the damage buffs ! btw. the bloodelf paladins were doing way more damage because of their racial sigil, Asmongold talked about it....
@@urslow8819 the factions were more balanced than classes though. Having played through the first launch, I remember seeing the factions imbalance lessen. Yes, horde have always outnumbered alliance because of their racials, but it was nowhere near where classic is now. If there's 1 change to the game I'd implement is premades only play premades in bgs. I'd wait a little longer for a solo que if I knew I wouldn't go against a premade (because even if they're bad, communication gives a huge advantage to a premade). This will also balance the que times, and in my opinion, help balance factions, with the alliance that don't premade being less wary of pvp. As you mentioned, the worst culprit for class imbalance is the way pvp was rolled out.
@@brucesamuelson7337 wrong on so many levels. TBC is much more infamous for being horde favored than vanilla. Horde get arguably better pve and Pvp racials and it snowballs big time. Every single tbc server has had faction issues where as vanilla private servers never really had as big of an issue until classic.
Horde get bloodfury which is basically another pve trinket for physical classes
Seal of blood which Outclassed the alliance paladin seal.
Blood elves are to this day one of if not the most popular race where as draenei are ugly af. Arcane torrent is great too, where as gift of the naaru is dogshit + their starter zones are heavily favored to blood elves.
Horde has best option for shamans too. Berseking is his for caster shaman. Blood fury bis for enhance.
It will be hell in hellfire for alliance. Every tbc proved it so far. It's why tbc servers have to give alliance buffs or lock faction creation to obtain balance somewhat.
Alliance racials unfortunately are Outclassed and even got worse from vanilla.
Expertise on humans is solid. The stealth perk isn't as good as you may think in Pvp. Really only good on rogues for opening on other rogues.
Escape artist got a CD Nerf later down the line and stoneform got a Nerf too irrc.
Draenei hit is only spell hit until wotlk where it's all hit.
