Hey Matt, I need to thank you. Last spring, thanks to you I realised that me going to practice once a week wasn't enough even if I gave it my all on that one day. I watched your videos on 'best drills' and I watched you when you were doing the DITL in Germany. This really helped motivate me and find the motivation within myself that I never really knew I had. Yes you're right, it's (almost) every boy's dream to become a pro xD but if I never stumbled across your channel I don't know where I'd have found what I needed (I wasn't getting it from my coach). After seeing your channel I started doing technical training. As I became more quality one the ball and my ability started matching my imagination, I became a regular starter on my club team (i was in the B team, in the B league in South East London). I was voted MVP' at the end of the season and got scouted to play for an A league team coached by a Chelsea FC academy coach. It wasn't like being called up to play for my country but it was progress and I realised that with hard work I could actually make it! Since then I've scored 12 goals in 19 games and got 7 assists. Playing for my school I got scouted to play for my region's District team. I was so excited (I tried to play it cool in front of the scouts) and whilst they were speaking to me your motivational words were just going through my head.
So the point of this long message isn't to boast (I still haven't made it yet, I'm 14) but to thank you for what you've done and getting me started on my journey.

How much you train in a day or week

@@user-uv8rn4nd8n your body will get used to it, and when your younger you recover quicker and pros are older so they don’t. Every session does not have to have high intensity as well. Plus the days I would do 4 one would be film so only ever 3

I wish I knew this before 16. Now, I’ll just focus on being a good player, instead of becoming a professional.

If you’re around 13-16 join an academy it will help I was 11 playing U-14 I got called up to play in a better academy but I got injured but now im making a comeback getting stronger each day 💪! Push yourself everyday you can do this!

Hey Matt, I just wanted to thank you for all the advice and motivation. I'm outside back/wing and have been playing for my club since u5. I was on the second team till the u12 age group when I got moved up to first team and almost immediately earned captain ship. Since then I've been playing with ODP as well, and have had international travels with my state team as well as recently competing in the national championships. I've also had the opportunity to compete in the USYS national league, travel abroad as a guest player with DC United Academy, and to play in the Gothia Cup in Sweden with an all star team from my league. Despite all these opportunities I was starting to feel like my play was beginning to stagnate and I was trying my best to keep improving but just wasn't seeming to get anywhere. A few months ago my high school coach sent me one of your game analysis videos and it helped a ton! Ever since then I've been watching your videos and training tips and they've really helped me continue to improve again and to inspire that much more motivation in me! Thanks again for the help, hopefully with work I will achieve my goals of d1 college play and beyond, but like you said, little steps at a time! Best of luck with the upcoming season and thanks so much!

It's all about building connections. I met a coach that trains me & can get me a tryout in Florida because he is friends with scouts.
There are open tryouts for USL & PDL teams before their season starts. There's a small fee you must pay to tryout.

This video really motivated me I became a starter for my team I was number 11 Left midfield and the 2nd bets player on the team at the time I was 13 now I am 16 and play for the youth squad of San Jose earthquakes and am the team captain last season I was the top assister in the league with 18 assists in only 38 games and scored 4 goals *AS A LEFT MIDFIELDER* and 2 of those goals were from free kicks.really try this it works my goal this season is to get promoted to the 1st team.
I’m 15 years old and want to play for quakes academy. Because of covid they are not holding tryouts though

My kid has been playing since 5 on a team. He played with me for years before he even got on a team. He's top 2 on his team. Been playing Varsity since freshman. He's 17 now. He's played ODP for YEARS since he was young. Top club teams. But we're in Louisiana. But he's coming! Hopefully he'll be busting his way in soon enough!

I barely turned 14 this week, I have been playing a year above my age level and playing premier league games, these games are against players up to 2 years older than me, I live in Brisbane, Australia I tried out for a high level team, made this team the playing cost was 1800$ this cost is almost impossible for my family to achieve, I have been beaten down, lied to and used, this involves Brisbane Premier League convincing me that I had made there team, training with them for 4 months and being told I wasn't old enough to play in this league. Look not trying to sob or look for empathy just wanted people who are having a hard time in there own Soccer/Football carrier relate to someone even if they are much older or younger than me!

I play at one of the best club teams in my region as a goalkeeper and some of my freinds who play at the same club are changing to a worse club to get more game time. I just keep on training and improving and keep getting more game time

+Become Elite I have a question. So I want to be a pro female soccer player. I live in the Caribbean.. Barbados to be exact. I'm 18 going 19 in a few months and I'm anemic. My club trains only 1 day a week but I still try to train by myself with my own ball. There's a new club and the coach of that club wants me to join the club. Says he help me. See what I need help with, see my strengths and weakness and help me to improve my weakness and keep my strengths up. I know half of the things I just said like my location and help can really get me down but how can I improve myself? Should I wait for the other club to fully develop then join them? Do I stay with the club I'm at now? By the way, the club I'm with at this moment, my couch is telling me I'll have to train really hard which I would never disagree with but he also told me its a 2% of me being pro.. Any help?
I’m william and I just wanted to say that I’m 16 and when I was 15 I was still paying in a Sunday league but I was the best one in the whole tournament I was the beta player in my team and in the whole league I remember one day I had a game and I played vv well I scored 6 goals and I played one of my best games and little did I know there was a coach watching me play and he decided to give me a chance to play preseason and I played well and now I play for academy one year past and now I’m a starter and doing well in the team I’m very grateful I played my best that day and I didn’t even know he was watching me play,I feel blessed cause now I have a chance on developing and becoming a pro

Historic Lego yes anything is possible bro but it might sound easy but it’s really not it took me a lot of hard work and dedication to it,I started playing when I was in second grade in elementary and yes anything is possible but there’s so much competition out there bro and it’s even gunna be harder for you if you’re burly starting but there nothing holding you back,I recommend joining a local Sunday league team to start with and go from there,you got a long way to go but you got it

I’m 17 and want to play professional for the USWNT. I just started soccer this year and I’m giving it 110% at practice and games. I am on a horrible varsity team, we lose every game and no scouts look at us. So I’m switching schools. I told my mom I want to be professional in soccer and not the military no more. She’s disappointed but is very supportive.

Sometimes you gotta sacrifice to get there. I'm from a small town as well, but as soon as I had the opportunity, I moved out of my parent's to Dallas which was a couple hundred miles away and started playing semi professional.

If you're 16 and up I recommend you check out SoccerViza. They're different when it comes to combines. I personally know people that were given trials and signed contracts from this combine. They are a company that believe in and are committed to giving players real opportunities to make it into the professional game. Their summer transfer window combines are coming up quick so check it out and give it a go. When you register just make sure to mention my name in the "How did you hear about us" section! Nice video matt but i got a question, how often should I train a week?
Atm in a week I have one match and one training with my club team then play twice in a seven aside league then train 2 times in the field on my own and also do some heavy lifting once or twice a week. When it comes to important game day for my club I feel soooooo tired and i can barely sprint (I am getting good sleep and getting 3.6k clean calories a day, also foam roll) and im really confused about how much to train since you seem to train loads :(

most of you may not believe this but im in the seventh grade and already play varsity soccer for my schools highschool and ive already gotten a scholarship offer from a college but i have to get good grades for the rest of my school life.
Am 15 and i live in stockton going to turn 16 in November i still have time right? I havent played soccer since i was 10 but i wana rejoin and actually go pro in soccer what ur thoughts?
