It’s super refreshing to see a review that doesn’t blow out of proportion how “bad” the clicky buttons and sleep mode are and doesn’t needlessly complain about it being a tiny bit larger than an SP or the in line triggers
I hate how the reviewers where stigmatizing the console just because that, man I don’t care about how “hard to press” the buttons are and I for once I’m glad they added the sleep mode function
Its not so much the reviewers fault, its the really nitpicking reddit fanboys thats REQUIRE 1:1 controller feel or its garbage and they blame the reviewers for lying about how good it is if they dont mention every small thing

Grabbed one of these as soon as they went on sale. I love it so far. The themed system borders while playing GBA games and the like is a really nice touch. The stock OS is pretty limited, but I don't plan on doing much beyond using it for the GameBoy family of handheld games.
The GBA is a great retro system also because it would play all the GB/C games too. So basically every type of game from the 8 and 16 bit eras were well represented on the GBA. My handhelds (the powkitty p90 you have, and the wood grain 351v) basically only have GB/C/A games, they were built for the small screen.
wouldn't it be great, if Anbernic would create a nice Handheld with PSP Go or Xperia Play form factor? I love my PSP Go, but also love the emulation capabilities of the modern Emulation Handhelds
One way you can address the rattle-y feel of most devices (haven't gotten a 35xx SP, waiting to see when/if the miyoo flip is as good, I want sticks - but I have done this with the custom buttons on my miyoo mini plus, 405m, and RGB20SX) is to get some keyboard switch lubricant - GPL 205 - and a #0 or #2 paintbrush. Paint just a tiny, tiny amount (just a whisper thin coat) of lube on the sides of the D pad and face buttons, and open it up, paint a thin layer around the pivot for the shoulder buttons, and the sides where they could touch the shell. It didn't ENTIRELY eliminate the rattly feel of the RGB20SX, but i'd say it reduced it by a solid 75-80%, and it no longer rattles in a "cheap" way, just a tiny bit of click when you shake it hard. It also works miracles for buttons that rub on the shell - the face buttons on the 405m were particularly awful with the metal shell, they rubbed like a mofo and sometimes felt sticky. Same for the replacement face buttons I got for the miyoo mini from sakuraretromod, and even my steam deck limited OLED had a sticky B button that sometimes got caught, this fixed that. The lube acts like a little impact resistor cushion and REALLY helps with the feeling of rattle and rubbing, and lasts quite a long time. I did my 405m like a year ago and it's still fine.
Recently found myself interested in retro handhelds, just after Analogue told me there's no way to send an Analogue Pocket to my country (Colombia). Back in time I had a big black play it loud Gameboy, a Gameboy Color and a Gameboy advance SP. I have only one question: Is the Real Time Clock feature that some games use (such as Pokémon Crystal) work on those devices? I´ve ordered one already but I can´t wait to find out hehehehe. Thanks in advance.
I remember I got the GBA on release day AND COULD NOT SEE THE SCREEN! I got one of those desk laps with a round light bulb and a magnifying glass in the middle just to see it. I didn't need the magnification, just the light. So my GBA wasn't really portable. I read about the GBA SP in a magazine and my Mom pre-ordered it with money I got for manual labor(around the house) and I COULD PLAY MY GBA GAMES ON THE GO!!! The SP was my favorite handheld to date and this is a second. It feels so good to play the RG35XXSP, by far my favorite emulation handheld I've ever owned.
Yeah it kinda broke my heart. I was sooo waiting for this one since powkiddy v90, but I am one of those who hates loud buttons. Also I hoped for a little bit thinner device. I hope there will be a rg35xx sp plus or something with quieter buttons at least

I probably would have picked that thing up over the RG405V, had it already been available at the time. They're both similar enough in price, but the Cube is more powerful.

While Anbernic is just blasting new consoles every month, we're all waiting for the Miyoo Flip. Anbernic's lineup is just really really amazing right now. Looking forward for more of your "hidden gems" games on the Flipazzle ClamDX.

If I didn't already have an rg35xx+, I absolutely would have bought this. The GBA SP was the first handheld I went out and bought for myself as a kid, and it was my absolute favorite gaming device for a very long time. I went on to get the DS and 3DS, and as much as I loved the games on those systems, they weren't as easy to just slip into a pocket any time I went anywhere. I really would have preferred one screen on on those devices in order to allow them to stay the same size as the SP.
I still have (and still play) my GBA SP Pearl Blue, including the original box. I bought it when it first came out, and it still works great. I did have to buy a new battery for it, but other than that it plays just as well as when I got it. It's always been one of my favorites.
I totally agree.. it's the best of the best of the best from Anbernic. It's shockingly so good I have you purchase more than one colourway for the Filpzizzle. No choice really to be honest. Thanks for the great review young lad. I hope you managed to get some downtime.
I recently put a bunch of TG-16 CD games on my RG28XX. It’s actually a nice combo. But I wonder if they’ll ever make a default tall screen for vertical shooters.

Love that classic TechDweeb laugh. Huh huh! 😂😂
Just ordered today the silver colored, and a cool super nintendo sticker set from aliexpress. One question: also I can use this device for watching animes with subtitles? It can handle subtitles?
I was waiting for the laugh that entire intro. And You didn't disappoint
Happy for you man ❤
3:18 Bizzazzle ?
thats how we say bosem in algeria.
i was sitting with my family watching you, everyone starts looking at my phone and asking me what am i watching. 🙃🙃🙃🙃
Love this and so want one now!!! Is the video player in app how you watched your show?
As soon as I saw your thumbnail I felt a pang of regret at not getting the retro gray colorway. What was I thinking? (I was thinking the transparent cover and being able to stick things underneath). Burning with envy.
You'll mod yours up and then it'll be my turn to be jealous!
@@TechDweeb I doubt it. I love this retro colorway. I may have to see if I can sell mine. Lol.
Great review Dweeb, this is definitely the retro handheld for me, the GBA-SP Nostalgia is hitting hard.
Btw anyone know what game is being played at 11:56 to 12:02?
Nvm it's ActRaiser 2 😆
All hail the Flipzizzle!
Was waiting for your take on the Anbernic Razzledazzle Clamflipzizzle TV edition. Of course you went with the best color >:) Can't wait for mine to arrive. Knowing that I might do the silent buttons tape mod going for a solid color was mandatory and that Retro Grey looked way too good to resist. While Anbernic is just blasting new consoles every month, we're all waiting for the Miyoo Flip. Anbernic's lineup is just really really amazing right now. Looking forward for more of your "hidden gems" games on the Flipazzle ClamDX.
My GBA machine is the old but still great RG351P wich I got used only for 40$!
I like horizontal handhelds more and ArkOs is perfect on it. It's my daily driver! 😊
For GBA only, how do you feel the screen/feel compare to the RG351P? I always pull out my RG351P when I’m ready to play GBA.
I held off buying one of these for so long, and now they announced new colours...That transparent red one is calling me
100k before the end of July. I have casted my predictions. Gosh Dweeb... I don't even know what to say anymore.
Loved your micheal bay intro lmao
I still have (and still play) my GBA SP Pearl Blue, including the original box. I bought it when it first came out, and it still works great. I did have to buy a new battery for it, but other than that it plays just as well as when I got it. It's always been one of my favorites.
HiTechDweeb, Lovin' the videos!
Can you tell me if the RG35XX SP can play Mario Kart 64 and Mario Golf 64 without any stuttering? Thanks
I totally agree.. it's the best of the best of the best from Anbernic. It's shockingly so good I have you purchase more than one colourway for the Filpzizzle. No choice really to be honest. Thanks for the great review young lad. I hope you managed to get some downtime.
Do you think Miyoo is going to release their SP version given how poorly rhe A30 was received?
Yeah they'll probably release it. And it will go badly for them. 😅
I recently put a bunch of TG-16 CD games on my RG28XX. It’s actually a nice combo.
But I wonder if they’ll ever make a default tall screen for vertical shooters.
When connecting via HDMI to play with a controller does it allow for multiple controllers to play a game like TMNT arcade for example?
Would be great to have a joystick similar to the awful psp flat ones
Would you happen to know if you could order litnxt preloaded games later ? Just in case I buy the one with no games
You should sell Flipzizzle stickers for the 35xxsp. I would totally put one on mine.
I clicked here searching for some reviews for this console, and I give a like because you are funny xD.
what is the name of the game on 11:58?
What game was that at 11:57
Actraiser 2
I bought Anbernic RG35XX SP. Is it possible to have several systems installed on different memory cards and then change the cards with the systems, e.g. Stock OS/muOS/Knulli/MinUI/GarlicOS?
Dweeb didn't deliver the pocket dance and instead showed us the love story lol
Instant liked
Dweeb...trimui smart vid plz
Your intro made me buy this console 😂😂😂
I so laughed when you did the pocket challenge with the flipzizzle. I just wish you'd do the same with your junkzizzle.
Damn son. Got chills on the music.
Ahh Yes the Dweebsters take on the Anbernic SP 😊😂🎉
Another tech dweeb video, another brilliant intro!!
