honestly there are really cool concepts to be done with a theme park doll… attractionistas had some cute ideas (although some of them could’ve used stronger ties to ride motifs) and i really liked the ily forever dolls that had ride themed outfit packs. this comes across more like those less themed attractionistas, no offense to the designer

Lenore Loomington is so disappointing... I was expecting her to be more gothic and Edgar Allan Poe-themed, due to the name. The final result feels very playline and lackluster. It's funny that the Draculaura Magic 8 Ball sold out quickly, whereas Lenore is still in stock lol
I feel like, recently especially people are so harsh on collectors who complain about or even comment on the EXTREMELY high prices. You can’t even say “hey maybe we’re being ripped off” without a hoard jumping down your throat saying you’re just mad because you can’t afford them. It’s 0% about personal finances or even “limited availability” and absolutely 100000% about multi billion dollar companies pushing low quality products for an extremely marked up price. A “collector” or “specialty” doll should show that in quality and what they’ve been pumping out from Mattel creations including (and especially) the off white monster high colab
The Lenore thing depresses me cause she's an amalgamate of so many things I enjoy; candle aesthetic, dark gothic, spiders! And then it all kinda came together like a school project everyone forgot to do until the final week...
Same. It’s frustrating because she’s one of those designs where if you described her out loud to me I’d be super excited, but the final design falls apart on every level. Putting aside some of the basic quality issues, even if I JUST look at her design, my brain immediately jumps to an array of more interesting accessories and garments and shapes given the motifs they were going for. An expensive doll is worth it sometimes, but this one sure isn’t.
I would love to see a series where you go through your collection and show us all of the dolls you have line by line and talk about your favorites. I'm trying to get into more collection dolls I love instead of completing lines and I think you always have fantastic descriptions :)
I'd love that too! I try not to be a competionist but that failed hard when RH went the way they did... I just HAD to have the ones before the soft reboot. But I don't love all of them, so I'd love to see more non-competionist collectors talking about their collection 😊

Then I picked up Meena, Lila, Heather, Veronica, Monique, the silver and gold Rainbow Divas, the Sunny and Luna double pack, and the Dia de Los Muertos doll at a heavy discount. Plus I have one Krystal in box (and I can tell she was from the very first release since her name on the box is Jett).
Oh Lenore… the way they hyped this doll made everyone’s expectations sky high. She’s not terrible, but she is definitely not a $75 doll especially when you compare her to other $75 dolls like the entire haunt couture line.
The fact that they're so reminiscent of EAH is why I'm actually thinking of picking them up. I don't normally go for Barbie (only one I have is the Doctor Who one from when Jodie Whittaker took on the role of the Doctor), but these are so cute, and would fit in with my EAH collection, and could work really well for making OCs, and give more options for outfits if the Dream Besties takes off and does fashion packs.
I said $65-$75, assuming they'd have her a bit more expensive than normal, like the price of one of the monster high collector dolls. I already thought that would be a bit much, but figured that's what Mattel does. But $160???? I'm sorry, she's cute but like- I could never spend that much on her. I'm 100% with you on Lenore's design and disgusting price, but strip away the weird design elements, unpainted pieces, nonexistent quality on that tissue-paper-thin skirt, here's my overall take on her: She's hyped as the first new G1 MH character in years, but literally NOTHING about her feels like she belongs to G1. Her box isn't in the G1 style, her clothes are old-timey Victorian instead of the punk chic looks G1 was iconic for, her face paint lacks the bold graphic style of G1 releases, I don't think she even has any chains which like? We had an entire movie about why that's ghosts' thing in G1?? There just isn't a single thing about her design that says 'high-school', and there's nothing about her execution that says 'collector', so you're just left to wonder...what even *is* she?
I feel like monster high keeps trying to win over g1 fans without understanding what made g1 so great. Most of the "g1 style" dolls have had moderate to poor reception and have been lacking that monster high touch. It's almost like they don't feel confident in g3 being successful and holding it's own, so they keep trying to nostalgia bait old fans. It worked well at first but I feel like the novelty has worn off.
Lenore was $137.40 Canadian with shipping. I HAD to have her as I am a huge fan of Edgar Allen Poe. Two things; I wish she came with the purple backdrop she is photographed with on the purchasing page and I wish all her plastic accoutrements were glow in the dark. I am still sort of hoping that is a secret surprise! I like the idea of having a signature doll by several designers and so don't want to miss out on this first one. Finally, I'm not sure about this, but the face looks to me like it might have actually been modeled on the portrait of Eliza Clement Poe, Edgar'a Mother. All Edgar Allen Poe's tragic loves bear a resemblance to each other and I respect that Rebecca Shipman wrote a poem for this doll too.
regarding skulltimate secrets i think it would be possible to have it both ways. they could make lockers with compartments and drawers out of sturdy, thicker cardboard. it would probably be less expensive than giant plastic pieces as well.
Love your videos man! also concerning the Lenore Loomington doll I think what annoys me is how she is advertised as this brand new G1 character while completely missing what some of the core fashion staples of G1 were like the 2010's emo, goth, and scene influences. Seems they were more focused on making a high fashion doll with a big flowy dress they can charge a lot for rather than a G1 base doll with a cohesive theme. Just feels like they threw things into a blender and also her pink shoes throw me off so much 💀
The Dania Zar dress is Swiss Dot and yes it’s SUCH an annoying fabric. Bumpy while also having zero sheen. Flat, see through, coarse. It’s supposed to be floaty and airy like meringue. I guess the thread balls give it some weight. But it’s used in baby summer dresses and embroidered things. Very retro spring. (I have been into sewing and costume design since I was 12 but I’m not an expert at all, it took me ages to remember what the dot was called lol) they went from 60s to 70s and the texture on that 70s pastel vest is off the chain.
I cannot wait to get my hands on the Barbie Dream Besties!! Their face mold is so sweet and it's lovely for Barbie to have a line acknowledging a friend group again. I would adore it if they gave us some accompanying media for the line. Interested to see if the Styled By Design series does well for Barbie. I love the idea of each doll being done by a different designer & them having the creative freedom to do whatever theme they'd like!! I wish they were priced more around $75 as I feel that's a little more fair. I would however like to see it succeed and continue regardless because I'd like to see more designers concepts. Carlyle Nuera's doing the 2nd doll in the series & while I was hesitant, we've learned she's going to be heavily inspired by his filipino background & he's mentioned her being like the little sister of Mutya Barbie in his mind, so now I think she may be stunning now (bad news for my bank account if that hypothesis is true). Also the Easter Barbie I saw her went wow she's glorious & beautiful, she kinda looks like me, the bunny's so adorable.... then I saw the price & I did a double take. I would like to know what alien math equation & hallucinogens they did to calculate that egregious price. I'm excited to see where the UA line goes. There definitely not the most quality forward in terms of their clothing but I think it still translates fine most of the time. I think the funniest part of the line is actually the surprise minis where all the humans are just hard plastic figures but the the tiny horses got rooted hair 😂 The Integrity Toys Dolls are pretty base dolls but they all seem kind of cheap compared to some previous releases I've seen. They all feel generic in a way as well which I think maybe adds to why they don't seem as nice. Love love love the Decora Girlz I cannot wait to collect them all!!!! I was literally counting down the days until their launch it's so bad for me 😭 I really like the Fearbook Line & I'd love to see it expanded in the future. Twyla's such a standout for me she's so adorable!! I fell in love with Spectra's base doll from the moment we saw pics of her. Not the biggest romper person but her outfits grown on me.... but I will still likely put her in something custom. I adore her little ghost pepper hot sauce I saw that & said she's just like me fr. The newest Skulltimate Secrets & their crossbow- I mean closet-esque packaging are cute. I wish we got a more substantial little dance/workout outfit for them to up the piece count clothing wise in this line. But the addition of fabric leg warmers is atleast a shockingly nice touch. My biggest gripe is that Mattel didn't give Clawdeen a full head of microbraids & they were only willing to give her accent ones in the front. Lenore's pretty for sure the best part is her face but she's not worth $75. Especially since I feel her dress could use a layer or two underneath to uplift that skirt volume & alot of her accessories are detailed but unpainted hunks of plastic. I would like her hair blend IF we got the larger amount of color that was in her art instead of the scraggly little Spaghetti strings of color. Also the merch for her was a choice & a half. The fact she didn't sell out but the Draculaura 8ball did (very quickly mind you) is telling. Both were designed by Rebecca too... Rebecca Shipman this is what the people really want from you as a designer 😂

I think a lot of the individual elements of Lenore's outfit accessories would work on Twyla. That headpiece and the lantern screams Twyla to me, and i think they're so cute but Lenore as a whole is a train wreck. Fearbook Twyla is one of my favorite g3 dolls, I'm a Twyla girlie and I think they absolutely hit it out of the park with this one. I'm autistic, so I'm hypercritical of autism representation, and I think the Monster High team really understood the assignment with that tiny game setup. Autistic people love tiny objects. I hope the dice are functional because I will absolutely use them 😂
I'm super intrigued by the Decora Girlz fashion dolls, but I'm holding out on actually seeking any out until I see how their articulation and overall construction 🤔
And don’t forget that the $160 for the Barbie Spring doll is *before* the required $10 Barbie Signature club membership, if you didn’t already have it. Not only that, but they increased the price of the Spring Barbie compared to the 12 Days of Christmas Barbie which was $150 (before the Club fee). Seriously price gougey. That said… I still bought her cuz I’m a sucker for those 12 Days gimmicks. 😆 And honestly, she’s the same price as Integrity dolls, so … 🤷♀️. I miss dolls like Barbie Serenade in Satin or Portrait in Taffeta, or Bob Mackie's Le Papillon - you could like them or not, but construction of their outfits was amazing. When I look at the new Barbie Styled by..., I like her, especially her face and shoes, but she's still a pretty simple doll in a basic dress with a huge bow. For a 100$+shipping+tax (and with a risk of getting a doll with defects because it's Mattel). I'm fine with different aesthetics but I'm still missing some "wow" factor.
I had no idea Unicorn Academy was getting dolls! I absolutely loved the series and found it pretty cute. I hope if they make a Rory doll, he will also get real hair instead of it being molded on. I loved everyone’s designs in the series- they’re so fun! Can’t wait to collect them 🎉

I agree with how you feel about the Skulltimate Secrets lockers. At first I thought it was really cool, like how it’s technically more sustainable since the boxes serve a purpose, but that wore off to me the more I got. I only really need 2 right now for storing all my MH clothes and accessories, but I have 5 of these clunky things and I don’t really want any more. If they sold the dolls with the option of getting the case or not, I would love that. I like the concept in theory, but they take up too much dang space.
I was never a monster high collector until this new generation and I’m just curious, do they not ever do fashion packs? I don’t have space for a million dolls but I really want new clothes for the core dolls I did get :/ But I definitely want that Twyla!!! Lenore and Spring Barbie are so overpriced it's funny, and Lenore's design felt like such a let down. I didn't know about the Barbie dream besties but wow they're adorable!! My favourite line rn is LOL OMG so the big round heads definitely appeal. I'll be keeping en eye out for Decora Girlz in my local toy stores, I'm unsure on if i want to buy any yet but i think seeing them in person will help me make up my mind.
I do have to give Mattel props for the shipping on Lenore. My wife ordered her on the day she came out, and she arrived the NEXT DAY. I'm hoping this is indicative of MC improving on that front. The doll herself is prettier in person than in the pictures. I'm behind on unboxing, so she hasn't been freed from the box yet, but I do like her. The poem on the back of her box... I see what they were going for, but the meter and rhyme scheme do not work. I love the new Skulltimate Secrets looks, and am excited for Spectra (and Catty, since I haven't seen her in stores yet). G3 is improving as it goes, and it started strong. The only line I haven't gone for really is Scareadise Island, aside from Heath, because "new character, must buy". The doll I want more than anything, sight unseen, is the MC Operetta that was spotted in a very blurry picture a few months back. Operetta is my favorite character, and the doll that got me into MH in the first place, and I want her to get a Ghouluxe treatment the way Ghoulia did.
The Barbie Dream Besties are SO CUTE 😍 I've been trying to limit my fashion dolls at this point, but if they're as cute in person as they are in photos, I'll probably end up with one or two. Seriously, how pretty are they!?
I bought the 12 Days of Christmas Barbie (partly because I wanted an AA vintage sculpt doll) and loved it, because the box was incredible (and heavy), the outfits well-made, the extras were cute and the doll itself felt like Silkstone. It really will be something I bring out every Xmas. So I sorta get the pricing for 12 Days of Spring. I also bought the Styled By Design doll because she’s gorgeous, has real jewelry and is a return to Barbie high fashion. Oh, and I think the Dream Besties are super cute…😊
I have all of the Holiday Hostess Barbies and I've always wanted an Easter one. Well of course she's $160! I can't afford her, so I used a vintage repro swirl ponytail Barbie and dressed her in a repro sundress. I have her holding an Easter pin that is a little basket with eggs. She's just as cute!
2:13 the thing is Barbie has been herself and her character friends for 5 years now. The movies show that aswell. It doesn’t feel like Barbie anymore but like some kind of franchise Therefore I was hoping it won’t be Brooklyn and Malibu in this line but different names so it can feel like a spin off.
Lenore just makes me mad because all I can think of is how amazing a Monster High x Disney's Haunted Mansion collab would be, instead we got Miss Mckamey Manor.

You know lol that satisfying vintage ‘80s way the bendy knees crunched lol (not to be morbid I’m just fascinated by the mechanics of the designs). I really miss high quality materials and sculpts of the past. I collect a lot of my dolls from other eras. I just completed my first set and Amazon squished one of my boxes :/ really disappointed. But it’s okay. Lower level rainbow high so not a big investment and I’m going to toss the boxes anyway. But of course it was Ruby my favorite lol

I'm mostly into Barbie/Mikelman dolls - I want my collection to look like someone from the 30s-50s owned it, so I was very excited when I got the first peek at the Spring doll. I loved the Christmas dolls, but no way going to spend that much on a doll. I barely brought myself to buy a #4 for $20 and a Fashion Queen with wig wardrobe for $40, so I know my budget ideas aren't like most people, but the Easter price is ridiculous. As much as I thought the Christmas ones were overpriced, I could have at least understood if the Easter had been $125 USD (which is what I think the xmas ones cost, or less). The Advent boxes are a cute idea, but the quality of the accessories suck. I only want the dolls from these sets, *maybe* some of the fashion, but that's it. Seeing the Integrity dolls made me come to this conclusion: Mattel saw that adult collectors were willing to pay outrageous prices, so they upped their prices, but kept the quality low. Integrity saw adult collectors buying crappy Mattel dolls and decided they didn't have to try as hard anymore.
I really like the aesthetic of the Decora Girlz. It's a bit too loud for me but I can see the appeal. I'm not a big fan of dolls with gigantic heads but in their case it works because they're supposed to look like chili anime characters. That said, you could fight off a home intruder with that giant head of hers. I can already see siblings giving each other back eyes by using that thing as a blunt weapon.
FINALLY someone says how we feel: Lenore was a let down. FAR too expensive for what you get- which is a cute doll but overall has no cohesive story. love u Monster High...but girl no, not for $75 full doll hairs. Annalise Lao should design ALL the Skullector dolls from now on. No shade in Rebecca shipman, but every time a skullector doll comes out that she’s designed, the reaction always ranges from “meh” to “I’m not paying THAT much for an underdesigned doll” like, Annalise HAS a good track record. I love the Monster High lockers though. I've been using them to sort my Monster High clothing pieces. Like, I put the belts and suspenders together in one of the lockers of my Neon Frights Twyla, whilst I use one of Fearidescent Draculaura's for all the pets, that sort of thing. I wish they would release more tights though. The two lockers containing the boots and shoes respectively are getting rather full, whilst Draculaura's knee socks are sitting all alone in their locker.
I adore Lenore! She’s looks like Twyla’s mysterious big sis. Sometimes it’s fun to love a doll many seem to hate. It makes it feel that she’s more personal to you in a way. For another thing there’s less stress around trying to buy her ✌️

I honestly prefer Teresa and Renee from the Barbie Dream Besties line, but I’d probably swap Renee’s shorts for some pants. Also I’m beyond fed up with how Mattel prices their collector dolls, because it’s like they think that because it’s a collector doll that it should be an outrageous price, even when the doll is so basic.

I did buy the Lenore doll, after publically claiming she was too expensive and i wouldnt buy her. I am a sucker for the glitter tears and a purple and teal color scheme. I don't like the new skulltimate secret enough to pay full price, but maybe on sale. I still haven't even bought the neon line. I am just over those plastic coffins, because i do not have the space for them, but i can't bring myself to throw them away either. The fear book Twyla is also my favorite of the line, Toralei is OK.

I will probably get at least some of the Skulltimate Secrets MH dolls. Super excited for a second Abbey and that Twyla is adorable. I did opt for Poppy Parker too. She always seems to have the prettiest face sculpts istg. I've been getting IT dolls for like 2 months and it keeps trending towards hers. I did order that new MH doll too. I think she's pretty and even though I think she should have been RAVEN themed, I do like that we're getting all new characters beyond just reproducing and rebooting existing ones. Decora Girls will probably not show up in my area of the US until like 2 years from now but I do think they look cute. Mostly though I want those mini doll stands x.x

The Lenore thing depresses me cause she's an amalgamate of so many things I enjoy; candle aesthetic, dark gothic, spiders! And then it all kinda came together like a school project everyone forgot to do until the final week...
Same. It’s frustrating because she’s one of those designs where if you described her out loud to me I’d be super excited, but the final design falls apart on every level. Putting aside some of the basic quality issues, even if I JUST look at her design, my brain immediately jumps to an array of more interesting accessories and garments and shapes given the motifs they were going for. An expensive doll is worth it sometimes, but this one sure isn’t.
Edgar Allan Poe products can be so appealing for people into it but they made it so unfitting for the aesthetic :(

My first was a Bella and Jr. High Bella double pack, and I love them so much. Then I picked up Meena, Lila, Heather, Veronica, Monique, the silver and gold Rainbow Divas, the Sunny and Luna double pack, and the Dia de Los Muertos doll at a heavy discount. Plus I have one Krystal in box (and I can tell she was from the very first release since her name on the box is Jett).

Oh Lenore… the way they hyped this doll made everyone’s expectations sky high. She’s not terrible, but she is definitely not a $75 doll especially when you compare her to other $75 dolls like the entire haunt couture line.

The fact that they're so reminiscent of EAH is why I'm actually thinking of picking them up. I don't normally go for Barbie (only one I have is the Doctor Who one from when Jodie Whittaker took on the role of the Doctor), but these are so cute, and would fit in with my EAH collection, and could work really well for making OCs, and give more options for outfits if the Dream Besties takes off and does fashion packs.

I'm 100% with you on Lenore's design and disgusting price, but strip away the weird design elements, unpainted pieces, nonexistent quality on that tissue-paper-thin skirt, here's my overall take on her: She's hyped as the first new G1 MH character in years, but literally NOTHING about her feels like she belongs to G1. Her box isn't in the G1 style, her clothes are old-timey Victorian instead of the punk chic looks G1 was iconic for, her face paint lacks the bold graphic style of G1 releases, I don't think she even has any chains which like? We had an entire movie about why that's ghosts' thing in G1?? There just isn't a single thing about her design that says 'high-school', and there's nothing about her execution that says 'collector', so you're just left to wonder...what even *is* she?
I feel like monster high keeps trying to win over g1 fans without understanding what made g1 so great. Most of the "g1 style" dolls have had moderate to poor reception and have been lacking that monster high touch. It's almost like they don't feel confident in g3 being successful and holding it's own, so they keep trying to nostalgia bait old fans. It worked well at first but I feel like the novelty has worn off.

Lenore was $137.40 Canadian with shipping. I HAD to have her as I am a huge fan of Edgar Allen Poe. Two things; I wish she came with the purple backdrop she is photographed with on the purchasing page and I wish all her plastic accoutrements were glow in the dark. I am still sort of hoping that is a secret surprise! I like the idea of having a signature doll by several designers and so don't want to miss out on this first one. Finally, I'm not sure about this, but the face looks to me like it might have actually been modeled on the portrait of Eliza Clement Poe, Edgar'a Mother. All Edgar Allen Poe's tragic loves bear a resemblance to each other and I respect that Rebecca Shipman wrote a poem for this doll too.
regarding skulltimate secrets i think it would be possible to have it both ways. they could make lockers with compartments and drawers out of sturdy, thicker cardboard. it would probably be less expensive than giant plastic pieces as well.
Oh, or they could disassemble and be turned into doll furniture, or open up into a room/ playset

Love your videos man! also concerning the Lenore Loomington doll I think what annoys me is how she is advertised as this brand new G1 character while completely missing what some of the core fashion staples of G1 were like the 2010's emo, goth, and scene influences. Seems they were more focused on making a high fashion doll with a big flowy dress they can charge a lot for rather than a G1 base doll with a cohesive theme. Just feels like they threw things into a blender and also her pink shoes throw me off so much 💀
The Dania Zar dress is Swiss Dot and yes it’s SUCH an annoying fabric. Bumpy while also having zero sheen. Flat, see through, coarse. It’s supposed to be floaty and airy like meringue. I guess the thread balls give it some weight. But it’s used in baby summer dresses and embroidered things. Very retro spring. (I have been into sewing and costume design since I was 12 but I’m not an expert at all, it took me ages to remember what the dot was called lol) they went from 60s to 70s and the texture on that 70s pastel vest is off the chain.

I cannot wait to get my hands on the Barbie Dream Besties!! Their face mold is so sweet and it's lovely for Barbie to have a line acknowledging a friend group again. I would adore it if they gave us some accompanying media for the line. Interested to see if the Styled By Design series does well for Barbie. I love the idea of each doll being done by a different designer & them having the creative freedom to do whatever theme they'd like!! I wish they were priced more around $75 as I feel that's a little more fair. I would however like to see it succeed and continue regardless because I'd like to see more designers concepts. Carlyle Nuera's doing the 2nd doll in the series & while I was hesitant, we've learned she's going to be heavily inspired by his filipino background & he's mentioned her being like the little sister of Mutya Barbie in his mind, so now I think she may be stunning now (bad news for my bank account if that hypothesis is true). Also the Easter Barbie I saw her went wow she's glorious & beautiful, she kinda looks like me, the bunny's so adorable.... then I saw the price & I did a double take. I would like to know what alien math equation & hallucinogens they did to calculate that egregious price.
I'm excited to see where the UA line goes. There definitely not the most quality forward in terms of their clothing but I think it still translates fine most of the time. I think the funniest part of the line is actually the surprise minis where all the humans are just hard plastic figures but the the tiny horses got rooted hair 😂
The Integrity Toys Dolls are pretty base dolls but they all seem kind of cheap compared to some previous releases I've seen. They all feel generic in a way as well which I think maybe adds to why they don't seem as nice.

I really like the Fearbook Line & I'd love to see it expanded in the future. Twyla's such a standout for me she's so adorable!! I fell in love with Spectra's base doll from the moment we saw pics of her. Not the biggest romper person but her outfits grown on me.... but I will still likely put her in something custom. I adore her little ghost pepper hot sauce I saw that & said she's just like me fr. The newest Skulltimate Secrets & their crossbow- I mean closet-esque packaging are cute. I wish we got a more substantial little dance/workout outfit for them to up the piece count clothing wise in this line. But the addition of fabric leg warmers is atleast a shockingly nice touch. My biggest gripe is that Mattel didn't give Clawdeen a full head of microbraids & they were only willing to give her accent ones in the front. Lenore's pretty for sure the best part is her face but she's not worth $75. Especially since I feel her dress could use a layer or two underneath to uplift that skirt volume & alot of her accessories are detailed but unpainted hunks of plastic. I would like her hair blend IF we got the larger amount of color that was in her art instead of the scraggly little Spaghetti strings of color. Also the merch for her was a choice & a half. The fact she didn't sell out but the Draculaura 8ball did (very quickly mind you) is telling. Both were designed by Rebecca too... Rebecca Shipman this is what the people really want from you as a designer 😂

I think a lot of the individual elements of Lenore's outfit accessories would work on Twyla. That headpiece and the lantern screams Twyla to me, and i think they're so cute but Lenore as a whole is a train wreck.
Fearbook Twyla is one of my favorite g3 dolls, I'm a Twyla girlie and I think they absolutely hit it out of the park with this one. I'm autistic, so I'm hypercritical of autism representation, and I think the Monster High team really understood the assignment with that tiny game setup. Autistic people love tiny objects. I hope the dice are functional because I will absolutely use them 😂

I miss dolls like Barbie Serenade in Satin or Portrait in Taffeta, or Bob Mackie's Le Papillon - you could like them or not, but construction of their outfits was amazing. When I look at the new Barbie Styled by..., I like her, especially her face and shoes, but she's still a pretty simple doll in a basic dress with a huge bow. For a 100$+shipping+tax (and with a risk of getting a doll with defects because it's Mattel). I'm fine with different aesthetics but I'm still missing some "wow" factor.
I had no idea Unicorn Academy was getting dolls! I absolutely loved the series and found it pretty cute. I hope if they make a Rory doll, he will also get real hair instead of it being molded on. I loved everyone’s designs in the series- they’re so fun! Can’t wait to collect them 🎉

I agree with how you feel about the Skulltimate Secrets lockers. At first I thought it was really cool, like how it’s technically more sustainable since the boxes serve a purpose, but that wore off to me the more I got. I only really need 2 right now for storing all my MH clothes and accessories, but I have 5 of these clunky things and I don’t really want any more. If they sold the dolls with the option of getting the case or not, I would love that. I like the concept in theory, but they take up too much dang space.

I like the dream besties concept for the same reason that you do but I'll be more interested in them when they get fashions that I actually like.
I do have to give Mattel props for the shipping on Lenore. My wife ordered her on the day she came out, and she arrived the NEXT DAY. I'm hoping this is indicative of MC improving on that front. The doll herself is prettier in person than in the pictures. I'm behind on unboxing, so she hasn't been freed from the box yet, but I do like her. The poem on the back of her box... I see what they were going for, but the meter and rhyme scheme do not work.
I love the new Skulltimate Secrets looks, and am excited for Spectra (and Catty, since I haven't seen her in stores yet). G3 is improving as it goes, and it started strong. The only line I haven't gone for really is Scareadise Island, aside from Heath, because "new character, must buy".
The doll I want more than anything, sight unseen, is the MC Operetta that was spotted in a very blurry picture a few months back. Operetta is my favorite character, and the doll that got me into MH in the first place, and I want her to get a Ghouluxe treatment the way Ghoulia did.
I've been getting the 'core' doll releases. They did Heath so dirty. Like no pet, no phone, a bad outfit... Let's hope he will get a core one day.

I bought the 12 Days of Christmas Barbie (partly because I wanted an AA vintage sculpt doll) and loved it, because the box was incredible (and heavy), the outfits well-made, the extras were cute and the doll itself felt like Silkstone. It really will be something I bring out every Xmas. So I sorta get the pricing for 12 Days of Spring. I also bought the Styled By Design doll because she’s gorgeous, has real jewelry and is a return to Barbie high fashion. Oh, and I think the Dream Besties are super cute…😊
I have all of the Holiday Hostess Barbies and I've always wanted an Easter one. Well of course she's $160! I can't afford her, so I used a vintage repro swirl ponytail Barbie and dressed her in a repro sundress. I have her holding an Easter pin that is a little basket with eggs. She's just as cute!

The white polka dot dress is made of seersucker fabric, that's why it looks odd. The fabric is puckered to make it appropriate for hot weather, according to Wikipedia.
I'm mostly into Barbie/Mikelman dolls - I want my collection to look like someone from the 30s-50s owned it, so I was very excited when I got the first peek at the Spring doll. I loved the Christmas dolls, but no way going to spend that much on a doll. I barely brought myself to buy a #4 for $20 and a Fashion Queen with wig wardrobe for $40, so I know my budget ideas aren't like most people, but the Easter price is ridiculous. As much as I thought the Christmas ones were overpriced, I could have at least understood if the Easter had been $125 USD (which is what I think the xmas ones cost, or less). The Advent boxes are a cute idea, but the quality of the accessories suck. I only want the dolls from these sets, *maybe* some of the fashion, but that's it.
Seeing the Integrity dolls made me come to this conclusion: Mattel saw that adult collectors were willing to pay outrageous prices, so they upped their prices, but kept the quality low. Integrity saw adult collectors buying crappy Mattel dolls and decided they didn't have to try as hard anymore.
I did preorder Rayna, but only because her face sculpt is so pretty! I will be redressing her as soon as she is in my possession.

I really like the aesthetic of the Decora Girlz. It's a bit too loud for me but I can see the appeal. I'm not a big fan of dolls with gigantic heads but in their case it works because they're supposed to look like chili anime characters. That said, you could fight off a home intruder with that giant head of hers. I can already see siblings giving each other back eyes by using that thing as a blunt weapon.
FINALLY someone says how we feel: Lenore was a let down. FAR too expensive for what you get- which is a cute doll but overall has no cohesive story. love u Monster High...but girl no, not for $75 full doll hairs. I love the Monster High lockers though. I've been using them to sort my Monster High clothing pieces. Like, I put the belts and suspenders together in one of the lockers of my Neon Frights Twyla, whilst I use one of Fearidescent Draculaura's for all the pets, that sort of thing. I wish they would release more tights though. The two lockers containing the boots and shoes respectively are getting rather full, whilst Draculaura's knee socks are sitting all alone in their locker.

personally I dont like the unicorn academy series,but the dolls look fine,as someone who wears decora kei myself im in love with decora girls too, its 2010's decora rainbow boom as accurate as possible, glad to find someone who doesnt like toralei's new bob too
I love Barbie Dream Besties, and will be buying all of them. I too, did not buy the W club add on dolls, i thought they were way underwhelming. I did buy the Lenore doll, after publically claiming she was too expensive and i wouldnt buy her. I am a sucker for the glitter tears and a purple and teal color scheme. I don't like the new skulltimate secret enough to pay full price, but maybe on sale. I still haven't even bought the neon line. I am just over those plastic coffins, because i do not have the space for them, but i can't bring myself to throw them away either. The fear book Twyla is also my favorite of the line, Toralei is OK.
I'm super excited about Decora Girlz, but they aren't available in my country yet :

She's a Palestinian fashion doll with traditional clothes, I just wanted to share because I found it an interesting discovery that brought me joy to know exists, and I wanted to spread the word to other doll fans too. :)

Those barbies are LOL baiting. Idk if LOL is Mattel or not, but they seem to want to imitate their faces. Also that collector barbie is a ninja. She looks like a sweet ass Naruto OC. Love it! Wish I could design a Naruto OC for Mattel to turn into a gorgeous fashion ninja doll.
Definitely want Twyla, Spectra & Lagoona.
I will probably get at least some of the Skulltimate Secrets MH dolls. Super excited for a second Abbey and that Twyla is adorable. I did opt for Poppy Parker too. She always seems to have the prettiest face sculpts istg. I've been getting IT dolls for like 2 months and it keeps trending towards hers. I did order that new MH doll too. I think she's pretty and even though I think she should have been RAVEN themed, I do like that we're getting all new characters beyond just reproducing and rebooting existing ones.
Decora Girls will probably not show up in my area of the US until like 2 years from now but I do think they look cute. Mostly though I want those mini doll stands x.x
