- The Open Roads Rally is this weekend (10th to 13th March 2023). I hope you can make it (if youre in Australia!).
This video I review my reviewed products... basically answering common questions that I get.
Thanks for watching. Make sure you subscribe and watch ALL of my videos so that I dont need to answer the same questions every week!

My audio works like this: • How to get awesome aud...
This video was great! It was nice to hear your thoughts on all the gear and reviews. Really appreciate the insights and look forward to the upcoming Open Roads Rally video.
Looking forward to seeing your guest star spot on Mark and Alistar's podcast Nerb.
My sticky mount on the Quadlock lasted 2 days. Suffice to say, it went back to Quadlock.
Nice ... love your down to earth channel .... looking forward to the podcast your are doing soon with Mark at biker bits .... always amazes me that good channels don't get more subscriber support ... just the world we live in 👍👍👍
Here is my review of the review of reviews, THE CAMERA QUALITY IS OF A POOR STANDARD
Here is my review of your review of review of the reviews, ditto.
I am getting a new camera for my birthday. That one has no autofocus anymore, so i just got it close enough. Thats my level of care these days ;)
Video is good, the Audio could do with some work
I know you've been preoccupied with other projects, but it's always good to see new content.
Keep up the good work, mate.
All sounds great! Thanks for the reviews, about time for a jacket replacement so the Komine is a great choice thanks! I went to 5XL due to wearing a TekVest (plan to add a tad more Rib padding) AND a Fox Racing elbow shoulder/mesh rig. Thanks for all your efforts on the videos over the years, they are very enjoyable in the Northeastern US winters! Cheers to my Australian friends, from CT, U.S.A.
Looking forward to ORR, nothing better then a weekend of riding!
I've been using the Fodsports one for ages now and it's been bloody great, though I did get gifted a Cardo for my birthday, so I'll be using that haha 😁
Goodday I fitted a set of fome grips over my heated grips so they brake down first. Try it ride safe
Hopefully their will be an alternative to Sena/Cardo.
Hey Nerb at 8:38 where you say there is no aux port out on Fodsport, only aux in. There is a video on RUclips called
How to use audio cable to connect M1 S PLUS and audio devices? The comments section says that music out through the aux port does work. You should try it. Actually on 2nd thoughts your model Fodsports might be different.
Good to hear from you Nerb. I like your channel and enjoy your content. Cheers, Rich.
Thanks Rich.
Good to hear from you Nerb. Enjoy open road event and look forward 😉
Hi Nerb, I bought the Doogee on the back of your review and it has been brilliant so far. As you say a heavy phone and probably not for most people or for everyday use. But great for the bike without having to worry about dust, water or vibration. I'm using a RAM mount setup with their Quick-Grip XL phone holder on a DRZ400 and FJR1300, works a treat.
Thanks for the initial review and follow up.
Awesome. Im glad it worked out for you!
Damn I was hoping for a review of the Victa ride on lawn mower under the green cover
Had to remove a quad lock mount off a case, they're never going fall off if prepped properly. Love them.
VBH tape is great…
Good to hear about the T7’s reported top heaviness, in relation to other bikes. Looking to pick one up on a few months time. Really looking forward to it. Keep up with the great videos 👍🏼
Noice, i was thinking about volunteering for a sweep rider but not even knowing how it works i thought i should just join in for the first time. Cheers 4 sharing sir.
Thx for another great vid - curious re 'other' project... I'll bail you up at the ORR for details 🙂 Pretty much have my T7 set up the way I like it... but is it ever complete? See you on the tracks!
I have the KTM OEM heated grips on the 890 works through the dash and menu buttons. Must be an old style you were talking about. Enjoy the ORR look forward to seeing your videos of it...
The 890 must have done them properly! The 790 and the 690/701/GG700 are all the rubbish version!
Genuinely thought you were letting Riding with Tom catch up to you on the big trip vids. Can't wait to see the rest of them when you get around to it. BTW - tell the ORR team they need to come over to NZ and do an event. Green with envy here!
I am sure an ORR would go down a treat!
You can compare your T7 and NextStop T7 on the Billy Goats climb. Yours you can see tracking a lot better and pitching less.
A good case of rider enabling bike and bike enabling rider. Not many ride a T7 like you do.
Any link to the aux lights? Nice to see you back on the tube mate. If you doing a lot of offroad wit a adv bike you might start doing your squats, its heavy no matter what😄🇳🇴☕
Great stuff Nerb1, I look forward to catching up for a chat again this year at ORR!
Check your chain tension ;)
See you there!
@@Nerb1 close but that was Rodney from Mile Munchin Adventures.
@@muddyfilms2632 lol, thats right. Will see you there to!
Its always a good review, when something KTM gets criticized ;)
Hi Nerb. What nav program do you use on your phone?? Iim using memory map but cant get it to do a moving map scenario. A good chance its operator error, I am technologically challenged. Cheers Steve.
I was going to go but I realised I live in the uk and can’t escape.
When are you going to let us on about what's under the tarp?😆
Tells us about the high fender kit man! 🙂
T7 is to heavy, and you can feel it :) Not as much as old xt660z tenere but it is. Otherwise I agree great bike, especially engine.
@7:25 I always wondered why your lifting weight test vid was with bars off the ground? Was it to protect pegs etc? In reality, if you drop your bike your bars will be about a foot lower on the ground. In any full range lift, theres a 'harder' portion of the lift and an 'easier' portion through the range even with the same weight. When lifting a bike, the harder portion is initially off the ground similar to a squat or deadlift at the gym. I wonder if this would show more difference between the bikes?
The heaviest the lift will be is when only the wheels are touching. Once the pegs or crashbars are touching the ground, some of the weight of the bike is being transferred to the ground. You will find that lifting the bar the first 300mm is easier than from 300mm to a 45 degree angle, then after that it gets easier again. A good example is the boxer engine GS's. When on their side, their wheels can be off the ground. They are very easy to roll over with the handlebar until the wheels are on the ground. By the time the cylinderhead comes off the ground, the bike is half way up. This makes them very easy to lift for such a large bike.
@@Nerb1 ah ok, yeah i get you. Wheels are furthest away from the bars and become the pivot point therefore its at this point its the greatest weight to lift. I'll need to pay more attention next time I drop my bike 😅
I love your matter of fact reviews on products great video what brand are the heated grips??
They are Komine. Same design as the Whites ones I beleive.
@@Nerb1 Thanks mate the whites were very difficult to fit and not very warm. These ones are getting good reviews and you are happy with them so I will fit them also.
Nerb can I ask if you're using bar risers. If so, what size did you go (considering your height) and would you recommend them? Thanks mate
I dont use bar risers. Stock is fine
How's joey Joe joey 🦘 mate 👍
Agree on those 3M sticky pads... they ain't never coming off! My helmet camera mount has one, been on there for 5+ years, a few crashes, and never once looked like moving.
Hey nerb, have you ridden a ktm 990 adv? Just wondering if you can compare to the t7
Yes I have. The T7 is a LOT smoother. The 990 is a classic.... the motor is quite aggressive but had terrible fuel economy. I think the riding position is similar. The T7 might just be the modern version... but a bit tamer.
It was quite a few years ago that I last hopped on one. It would be good to ride them back to back.
@@Nerb1 cheers buddy, a LOT smoother surprises me
I really want to like the t7 it's a brilliant bike and I'm a yamaha man anyways but it just doesn't give me feels y'know....a 990 is calling to me
I was half hoping you'd say the t7 feels like a nimble little dirt bike and kills a 990 off road lol
Bike comparisons like you did with toms 890 would be great videos, might give you a bit energy for it too...a change is a good as a rest as they say
@@adamlee581 Ride both and see what you like. A 990 would be considerably cheaper. I dont think there will be a massive difference to ride though. They both have two wheels.
@@Nerb1 hey nerb, doubt you'll see this but went for a T7 in the end and couldn't be happier. Wide open throttle happens a lot quicker than the 990 but the bike feels way more nimble
Anyway did you do a video on your abs switch mod?
Pretty sure I'd have seen it if you did, everything tenere reckons you found a better way...any chance of a video on it please mate?
@@adamlee581 Nice.... The T7 will last a lot longer than a 990 ;)
I am not game to do videos on messing with the brake components.... for your insurance and mine.

Oh, and pull your finger out and edit more of the trip vids. We don’t want you going all SeeItWithSimon standards of one video per bi centenary
