Cuddling with tigers or a bear, singing while on fire, standing high above the stage on a manholesized plattform or in the moiddle of an explosion - no problem. But singing a soft song with his great voice - terrifying for that man. We love him all the more for doing it anyway.
A stone that you carry around is a burden. It does not matter how beautiful the stone looks.
You can kinda see that he still struggles with stage fright...Till used to wear goggles so people wouldn't be able to see that Till would at times close his eyes while perfoming because he didn't like people staring at him..
during this performance if you noticed that he keeps his eyes closed pretty much the whole time....its songs like this where you can sometimes tell that he still experiences stage fright. ❤
I think he was over the stage fright at that point. I saw him struggling but it looked like he was about to cry. I think maybe this song tears his heart up.?
@@jinxed101 Till said himself, that he still struggles with stage fright when the songs are quiet, only a few years (2-3) before the Tour in 2019. This is his fright. I have the same when it comes to hight.

Till never looked comfortable singing Diamant which is a shame because it's such a beautiful song. Possibly it's because everything is so stripped back on it, just Till, Flake and Ollie on stage. There's nowhere for Till to hide, not physically not musically and I suspect that the lyrics are very personal to him. You can have a beautiful, stunning looking partner in your life, but if there's nothing beyond the superficial, it can't be a relationship. Left to fester for too long, one side will feel their emotions and energy being drained and love will turn to hate. You can look at any number of beautiful or handsome people but then find out that they either have no personality or one that you find abhorrent. Like a diamond but only a stone and life's too short to be dragging a stone around with you.

I first started watching your videos because R+ is my favorite band and your channel was recommended to me. However you seemed like a down to earth guy and I soon continued to watch because I enjoyed your personality as well as the reaction material. This songs meaning can be aimed at a thing or person having control over someone, comparing them to a diamond. It mentions how good the thing makes them feel ,their love for it, but on the other hand the person wishes to be released from the hold it has on them. As even though they are beautiful like a diamond they are just ugly like a stone at heart. Cant live with it, can't live without it

Till writes most of the lyrics. Then they go over them together and do any fine tuning and put music to it
The other way around. Most of the times the music is written first and then Till who admits he is almost never part of the composing act tries to adjust suitable lyrics which are then revised and sometimes re-written by all six. I call them the perfect six because as strenuous and tiring this process seems, the input of all six truly is what makes Rammstein. This sometimes brought and still brings them to their limits whether they stay on as a band or not. I hope over the years they realized how rewarding it is to be a band member even if they need to keep their distance from each other to become creative again.…

This describes a toxic relationship where even though she is very beutiful she is a bad person..she is sucking the Life out of him, he just wants out of relationship. The message i get is that yes, we all want to be with someone who is preferably beautiful and/or handsome..but if that person is negative, abusive and only brings you down are they really worth it? Compared to someone who may not be beautiful (according to what society defines as beautiful) but she is a kind and loving person..who would make a better girlfriend/wife? Simply broken down, the song describes a beautiful person, but the character sucks.
Looks like a diamond, but has a heart of stone. Nothing of value in it.
It certainly doesn't show a woman's lack of interest when Till asks her to let him go.
This is a toxic woman, beautiful to look at, who sucks everything out of a man, but has nothing to give. She just takes advantage of him and he can't get away from her, although he knows better.
