- Now that we've got the London Overground (TfL / Transport for London) route Suffragette - Barking Riverside - Gospel Oak we have a new Electric Multiple Unit - the Class 710/2 Aventra from Bombardier. Lets see how to drive this train with safety systems turned on and how to reset from common pitfalls.
Hi Paul, Just started a train channel and the first thing I did was promote your channel. you always take the time to help others with the sim and your vids are always enoyable. thanks for always awnsering my questions. when you are in NZ next I will take you out for coffee and cakes. cheers mate. william. aka kiwivanman.
That's cool William thank you. I do come visit the easterly neighbours from time to time, I love the country. I'll take a look at your channel.
Thanks for this, it was very helpful!
you're welcome
Looks great! I love your tutorials. Excited to drive this tomorrow! One question, can you impart any interesting prototypical operating info?
Not really for this one. Looking at the time table my guess is use the Sam method grip it and rip it. Speed zones change often so be ready for braking.
How are you mate, here i am asking for somthing again ha,, could you pls inform dummys like me when shoukd we toot our horns?, going in or our of a station? A road crossing? Toot when in reverse? And how many times?. Thank you. Appriciate all your work. WILLIAM
That's actually a hard question. Every operator has different rules. Generally except for German/Austrian/Swiss who never toot it's fairly common to toot departing a platform or moving from a stand in a yard.. Most countries will toot for a crossing at grade. Some toot going into platforms. For going backwards on the main line if it has English ancestry normally three short toots before moving. In yards this generally isn't done.
@@trainsimulatordriver appriciate that. Thanks
@@kiwivanman9035 most of the time you can find a rule book for the railway you're operating in game if you want to be really prototypical about it. I would suggest adopting the toot if you feel like it rule 🤣
I have set the train up exactly how it was in this video but yet it does not work, the brakes are set at 4.4 and nothing happens. On the odd occasion the brake does release it just rolls forward and nothing else.
Sounds like you don't have power. Did you press the AC and panto up buttons?
@@trainsimulatordriver Yes, everything is on.
@@FM60260 and you're on the Goblin route or another one - and is it a service, scenario or one you've put down in free roam?
@@trainsimulatordriver It is a timetable service
@@FM60260 are any doors open (including cab doors)?
Do you know how to uncouple?
I've never tried, my guess would be put the train in brake step 3, reverser in secure and then press the couple button (uncouple if there is one)
