The first thing I have noticed in other videos people hold the stick with two hands and hit with jabs but when it comes to actual sparing you use one hand like Arns

That is one style of Irish stick that people see a lot more online called the Doyle style. We use that in close but at range we use another style. My club is the only currently working on both.

PVC plastic piping can also be used for full contact sparring...

I have tried it in the past but it tends to break a lot and can make some wicked points when it snaps.

Good video. I especially like the phase-in to grappling, which is more realistic.
Two questions for you: 1.) Do you do street self-defense techniques in addition to sparring? and 2.) Are you acquainted with Simon Keegan's family bata style?

Thank you and yes I teach self defense but normally on a one to one basis as there are many nuances in it that need to be worked on. I am aware of Keegan's work but have not trained in the style.
