    I used to have to fly up to Newcastle occasionally in my old job and then get to Cramlington by taxi. One day there'd been a good fall of snow, just over an inch. I mentioned it when I got to the factory and they said "Nah, it's just a hoar frost up here, this."
    Thanks for sharing Charles! It's where snow belongs, on a painting, not the street. 😂

    This is great! Thank you... It is so nice that you go slowly and explain every step and what color you use, brush type, etc... A lot of youtube watercolor tutorials don't give enough detail of the steps and go too fast and assume people know more... this is great for learning and also, a BEAUTIFUL painting. Thank you so much...!!🙂🤗

    Thank you Charles for another great painting, I’ve been a fan of your work for so long now and I’ve purchased brushes, paint’s, books of your website for a lot of my work. I will certainly be having a go at this one . Not to hard but a nice little watercolour. Keep up the good work, look forward to the next piece of art you do. Thank you again Charles.

    Hi Charles, as always, you always make Northumberland look so wonderful in your paintings. It’s our most favourite place we visit every year & always within a short distance from where you are. Your magic in watercolour gives us fond thoughts of the area & we look forward to coming up to catch its beauty. This painting is a delight to watch you do your magic, & Im looking forward to catching up & painting again with you on a day in February. Just booked today for 2 of us. I’ve introduced a friend to watercolour painting, & we both look forward to seeing you. Make sure there’s no snow on the 21st 😂😂😂. Thanks for this Charles. Fab as ever. See you soon. Pete. Grassington. 👍

    Just discovered your channel. Glad I did. As a native of Yorkshire me self, it’s nice to hear a Yorkshire accent. And your paintings are stunning. This one so reminds me of many snowy days I’ve seen back up North. I’ve subscribed and look forward to many more tutorials as good as this one. Thank you. 😊

    I really like the atmosphere and the play of light that you always create in your paintings, the recreation of nature as it appears wild and grand, it is something very characteristic, very typical of you, it makes transcendence. Best regards to Gail and you

    Well yet another very good presentation. My wife and I watched this last night. The shadow work always impresses and surprises me. You've pointed out on several video presentations that after adding paint such as the blue added for the snow effect, that by going in and softening those strokes with a bit of damp brush, a huge positive difference. This one had a home like feel to it, thanks for posting.

    I’m a relative beginner having started by following your acrylic landscapes which I love and I’m keen to try watercolour pencils. My question is probably silly but can I assume that in general your watercolour paintings can equally effectively be tackled using watercolour pencils?

    Super tutorial Charles 👍🏻. Have attempted using acrylic but struggled with the reveal of posts; guess that’s because of medium used? Had to paint in the dark/light - was that the correct way to approach? Thanks.

    • @charlesevans7706
      @charlesevans7706  6 месяцев назад +1

      Not really because you could have just painted the posts white! If it was acrylic, there’s no need to reveal them, just paint them!!

    You continue to take th BS out of Watercolor and inspire the faint hearted. Why do I have this desire to return to a village hall in Northumberland? Therapy is obviously needed.
