Hello Liz, I have been enjoying your videos for awhile. I live in South Carolina,, summer starts tomorrow for us. I am sending my condolences to you and your family,
It's great to have a North facing glass windows to place all these gorgeous plants indoor👏I am already glad to have a kitchen window sill to place some succulents there. 😄 I am so happy the Calisio Risotto are growing so well for me. They brighten up my kitchen and so thankful to you each time I see them😍
Crazy! Was gifted a huge box of cuttings from my cousin, during our late fall/early winter. Started to stress what & where. A lot of the plants you mentioned in this vid are ones I have been stressing..even as I looked around at ea., you'd then mention Same one on vid. Crazy. Digging you vids truly. Thank you! 💚
I live in Canada so all my succulents are indoors. I put them out on the balcony for the first time this summer. Many of them coloured up nicely. Enjoyed seeing the varieties you grow indoors.
I absolutely love you indoor plant area you inspired me to start my leaf propagations indoor plants in my room HAHA and they are growing super nicely and healthy thanks for sharing Liz
So useful Liz, I'm grateful for your sharing your knowledges 🥰 Nathalie, fallen into succulent adduction from South of France. And we also share the same singing disease as you 😄 Please go on 🙂
Yr collections are beautiful pretty lovely awesome gorgeous colourful that what they are some look like babies the are flapjack is what i have the sun give it pretty colours on the leaves I'm in love with it wish i can get coloured succulents but can't get thanks for yr videos where i can see them all and love yr collection's great are they I'm enjoying yr videos THANK YOU😍
Do you have holes in the bottom of your succulent flower pots? I know you have used many different kinds of of cups and bowls. The fact that you can have exotic colors and shapes is just fantastic. I also noticed you have just plain terracotta pots too! Where do you purchase all your cool and out of this world awesome pots? How do you keep the beautiful containers #looking so good? If you ever need to sort out any of your succulents/cactus plants and need someone to donate them to so you wouldn’t have to waist them…I would pay shipping. Thank you for your HUGE KNOWLEDGE BASE!!!!
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK would you please make a video on how you put the holes in your COOL little pots…I just love ❤️ all the diversity you have within your garden!

Great vid again Liz and after asking if I can grow Sedum Clavatum indoors, seeing yours, I think that I already am 🤣🤣🤣. They look so much different that I was coverting your outdoor ones. Hey ho. I will try to get them used to sun a bit more because my west window can be really fiercely hot. BUT mine seem to have had a ferina and I've washed mist of it off and are now bright green. Does that mean they aren't sedum clavatum? Same growth pattern and shape as your INDOOR one 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️💕
Sedum clavatum do have farina. They can handle the sun much better than the cold. My old one is now four years old. They will color up better as they ager provided they get a lot of light and keep them on the dry side.
Soil mix is specific to each species of plants and will be the same whether grown indoors or outdoors. For example, Orchids requires a different soil mix to a Cactus. Echeveria requires different soil mix to a Lithops.
this is my first winter with succulents and so far 3 have fallen apart with dropped leaves and some were moldy. i propogated all of the viable leaves and sprayed the steams with your Metho is that enough and put them under the grow lights. i dont have any indoor space so i have to keep them outdoors. the coldest it gets is 32 F in zone 9B
Oh Liz!!! I just saw you watering your Lithops that are splitting and I was wondering about that??? I cannot seem to grow them very well. Any advice????
I believe it's all in the soil mix. They get drowned by too much rain and it still grows. Link below for my Lithops soil mix. Hope it helps. How to make LITHOPS Soil Mix - ruclips.net/video/UW8-BV64-0Q/видео.html
Okay, so I'm new to these succulents. And I've notice that some of your pots are like coffee cups and other planters. I know that some if not most of them, don't have holes on the bottom. Is that okay? Or do all of your planters have holes? And do they have to have little rocks on top?
They all have holes and the top dressing is for creating a barrier between the plant and the wet soil, and also to prevent the soil from making a mess during watering.
That was funny, I do the same thing... check on or poke at something like a fallen leaf to see what it is doing, and end up trashing the tiny roots or leaves that are just starting - oops! Cactii (cackt-eye) is the term for more than one cactus 🌵 👌
Unfortunately, no matter how careful one is, insects will always find their way indoors. It's a matter of being vigilant on the first signs of infestation and deal with it appropriately.
The one in this video now lives in my bathroom and seems to love it. Otherwise, I would suggest a saucer with water around the plant to provide atmospheric moisture to mimic the environment of its origin.

I only put aeoniums indoor because they are very hard to grow in my place
Yes, Aeonium don't like the heat and will go dormant when it's hot but they will wake up again when it cools down.

Glad you think so!
And yes, lots of good light..but what else for indoor succs. I live in NW of USA. Colder 7 months out of year and a rainy state.
No different to being grown outdoors. It's a matter of creating an environment similar to their origin.
Airflow, make sure a fan is moving the air around them. I grow succs in Texas, also very humid and they are under a ceiling fan that is always on.
Hello I love your collections of succulents. can you tell me the sprayer your using to water your plants

Hi Liz,
Besides consistent temperature, anything else we end to know about indoor growing? Like soil differences etc?
Soil mix is specific to each species of plants and will be the same whether grown indoors or outdoors. For example, Orchids requires a different soil mix to a Cactus. Echeveria requires different soil mix to a Lithops.
Thanks Liz.

I only have 40% success rate with my leaf laui propagation.

Your weather is suitable for growing a lot of different species of succulents. The grow light will also help in boosting growth.

Cactii (cackt-eye) is the term for more than one cactus 🌵 👌

The water collecting pot is called a cache pot ☺
Thanks Bobbie. Just like the Mel-asso, I will now always think of you when I see a cache pot.🤗

All mine inside besides a couple. Just got grow light tho
So you're watering more than I expected for the indoor succs. This is fine?
Only provide water when the plant needs it. Water less often (let soil dry up) but heavy (soak).
