  • Most succulents are sun loving and will show off their colors better if grown outdoors. What if you haven't the space. Can you still grow succulents indoors? FEATURED PLANTS: Echeveria, Sedum, Graptopetalum, Graptoveria, Euphorbia, String of Hearts, String of Pearls, etc... There's also a lot of indoors plants such as Philodendron, Alocasia, String of Turtles, Peperomia, Sansevieria, etc. So many plants to mention.

    Hi Liz,
    Besides consistent temperature, anything else we end to know about indoor growing? Like soil differences etc?

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  Год назад

      Soil mix is specific to each species of plants and will be the same whether grown indoors or outdoors. For example, Orchids requires a different soil mix to a Cactus. Echeveria requires different soil mix to a Lithops.

    Great vid again Liz and after asking if I can grow Sedum Clavatum indoors, seeing yours, I think that I already am 🤣🤣🤣. They look so much different that I was coverting your outdoor ones. Hey ho. I will try to get them used to sun a bit more because my west window can be really fiercely hot. BUT mine seem to have had a ferina and I've washed mist of it off and are now bright green. Does that mean they aren't sedum clavatum? Same growth pattern and shape as your INDOOR one 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️💕

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  3 года назад +1

      Sedum clavatum do have farina. They can handle the sun much better than the cold. My old one is now four years old. They will color up better as they ager provided they get a lot of light and keep them on the dry side.

    Okay, so I'm new to these succulents. And I've notice that some of your pots are like coffee cups and other planters. I know that some if not most of them, don't have holes on the bottom. Is that okay? Or do all of your planters have holes?
    And do they have to have little rocks on top?

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  Год назад +1

      They all have holes and the top dressing is for creating a barrier between the plant and the wet soil, and also to prevent the soil from making a mess during watering.
