  • In the late 50's, rebellious youth were after a more aggressive form of music to annoy their parents with. The Kookie Kats had it all. They were loud, fast and had a narcissistic lead guitarist who was almost as good as he thought he was. Although they were far from what we regard as heavy metal, their raw energy paved the way for today's metal giants such as Metallica.
