I know this was done about five years ago but brother thank you so much for posting this video. I went through a set of bearings on a brand new clutch. Bill only got one run out of it, and the bearings were destroyed because it had too much play so now I know I got to buy some shims and shim it like you did to fix the problem you’re amazing bro God bless you and thank you so much for your help.
You just gained a subscriber with this video brother ! Very informative unlike other channels. Please keep these types of videos coming. We ( My Brother N I) purchased Losi 8ight's ( Buggy n Truggy) last year. Time for an upgrade in the Spring. Again, Thank You rajaa ;] Much appreciated !
Just got a new Novarossi Bonito (21-7XLB) in from an Italian vendor. I see what you mean about the Novarossi shafts being just long enough (short). I didn’t need any shims on it. My previous Novarossi mills were a bit longer in this regard, but those old novarossis are 8-10 years old now.
I love it how you say Change back to nitro 😂 Why not tell it like it is & say You had to build a new car & could only usr the diffs, arms wheels & spoiler
hey have u ever herd of a flywheel spacer ?? it goes on the crank shaft b4 the flywheel cause i run one on my alpha or should i just use shims after flywheel
I feel like such a noob.. but, what is a collet and why/how is it used? I’m rebuilding a pretty clapped out savage x right now and the clutch pads are out and springs are broken. No shims or any hardware in sight. If you can point me in any sort of direction.. Thank!! Awesome videos man!!
Wad -Up, People.... I LOVE it.. Love your Channel. Very refreshing, you have a fantastic outlook and are a true Humanitarian. Whether religious or not - i dont care - You are what the Planet needs! in life AND RC! Keep up the Good work. and Maaan! - you can DRIVE. M-mmmm I'm over the pond in England UK, Lorry Driver. got into RC via Tamiya Sand Scorcher - the old days in 1979 got a re-re Scorcher and nearly finished 1st 1/8 Nitro kit - Ansmann Kryptonite. Ha ? whats that? you might say..... well a bit later maybe who knows?.......got some pics of a few engine bits that might need your opinion on if you can fit it in on your list?
Thanks brotha, man you talking old school I love the Tamiya stuff. I had a few in my days, just let me know what you need I got you. If you can do a video of those old engine I would like to see them
rajaa111 have u ever herd or seen of anyone shim before the collet ..i either had to shim befor the collet cause if i did it after the clut h my flywheel barley reaches spur gear ?? any advice
Yes I shim sometimes before the collet if I need to move the flywheel away from the crank case, I’m not understanding what you mean by barely reaches? Either shim before the collet that will move the flywheel forward away from the crank case or try with no shims that will move the flywheel back towards the crank case
Man I order the reds racing quattro 34mm clutch for my losi 8ight ? my questions is what bell I need has to be vent bell for this clutch can I use my stock bell ?
Great info. I have a question if you have time. I just got a losi 1/8 buggy and picked up a new .21 Novarossi. What do you suggest for a clutch? I was looking at the nova buggy clutch. Thanks. Joe.
I like the novarossi buggy clutch but i think the clutch bells are a little to thin, the reds is a great clutch and very easy to adjust. the standard losi clutch setup is nice also i just didn't like there pins that hold the shoes in. all of the clutches you can't go wrong with but I would suggest going with a 4 shoe clutch system, here's a video I did on 3 shoe vs 4 shoe clutch systems. ruclips.net/video/3se509mdEFw/видео.html
Check out my vid with incorrect shimming. Then after 20 attempts using a new werks clutch and reds vented bell. I got it down on the second vid. Check it out.
surrounded by your neighbor houses and you are running your rc car as they are not living people inside them. Listen my friend, i never started my rc in my neighborhood...it is just so bad acting like this
What are you talking about I bet they run their weed eaters and lawn mowers and his rc car is no louder so why would his neighbors care he's minding his own business I will never understand why people walk on egg shells for people .
I'm glad this video was still up. It helped me out. I appreciate it. Thanks!

Man, you make the best videos!
You should use a metal dust cap bearing since it gets so hot there.

Yes I have used them, if the flywheel is touching the engine case then yes use a spacer, I've seen people not use them and its been ok.
@@rajaa111 thank u
I gues ots called clutch bell housing

A collet is use to hold the flywheel against the crank of the engine, you cannot run with out it, you best bet is to hit ebay or Facebook forums
Mine slpumps the piston
Mine has never spun like that

What clutch do you use please, and where do you get it from. I see FX engines only do engines?
Right now I'm using the stock mugen clutch that comes with the kit, if your looking for a good 4 shoe clutch I would try the reds qurdro clutch
@@rajaa111 ok, thank you very much

Thank you. It is a ison.21 novarossi. Gonna try it in losi buggy.
.1 , in the back of clutch-Bell might be perfect
Fantastic video tbh struggling wasn't spinning like you was saying to tight
Thanks, sounds like you have to many shims installed, try taking one or 2 out should fix it
Just sorted my clutch nice and simple video thanks
Great video👍.
Are the FX engines easy to tune?
Henrik Sørensen Yes they are super easy and hold there tune perfect, thanks
Your the man 💪💪
Greengiant__ thanks brotha 🤝
Do I have to use special bearing oil?It is soooo expensive. What are
your experience with the engine oil?
No you don't, you can use good old 3 in 1 oil, it works just fine. Don't use anything like wd40 it's to thin, it will just wash away
I'm getting it all locked in thanks bruh
New sub 😎
Bro! Was that a stock lrp .32?! And it's it the spec 2 or 4?
Yes Stock spec 4
Check out my vid with incorrect shimming. Then after 20 attempts using a new werks clutch and reds vented bell. I got it down on the second vid. Check it out.
I will check it out
