Your videos are awesome and you sound older than you actually look I watched your live video you did just a little bit ago thanks for doing the videos you do
Loving your videos guy. I'm learning a lot about nitro engines from you. I have a hoi savage21 that I bought used and refurbished and I just put a bigred in it. Loving my savage. Love your Content also. Good stuff. 👍
I ran those sh 6cc gas engines this evening and they run amazing with pump gas but they don't like that expensive stuff in the cans that is non ethanol! They have a weird looking glow plug though with a taper and no copper washer! Still trying to get the carburetor adjustment on the echo blower but those Amazon tools didn't work for me unfortunately!
Yeah they won't really run very well on Canfield because it's not gasoline it doesn't create the same catalytic effect as it's not the same kind of product
@@thebug4046 That sounds about right. They were originally like $40-45 in the late 90's. It was tough to justify the cost upfront unless you knew someone else that had one. Same with the 360 Stinger kit. It was tough to spend $110 on that back then, but it came with a rear shock tower, and the balance and throttle response benefits were awesome. It's a shame the market is so thin now on Nitro stadium trucks.
Is the thing-a-mabob that makes the truck steer left and right a servo? LoL or something else? Also that head make the engine look wayyyyyy better! Looks like she has tons of compression and ready to go🔥💪🏻. Cant wait for a running vid. Thx Bug
Awesome vid whats the clutch part number I've got hold of the clutch nut bell and have a flywheel on the way i brought a traxxas clutch but looks diffrent too yours best way to explain it is a slightly bigger then the clutch in the MIP kit with the spring on the front i do have a mip clutch and fly wheel but its too small so i can't start the engine with my starter box with the conventional engine mount i have seen a trinity engine mount but the dudes on ebay are charging hundreds for em an this clutch idea was way cheaper
Hey man thanks for watching and it's just the standard Traxxas clutch. It's all going to look different then the MIP stuff. All Traxxas parts i believe it's the same clutch as a tmaxx 2.5 or rustler nitro sport
@@thebug4046 awesome how well does the traxxas clutch grip I've also seen a hot racing 3 shoe kit I've got a spare clutch nut somewhere which is for my rs4 but has a groove for the springs too sit in might be something I'll experiment with the gt sometime be cool too somehow get a 3 shoe in there
It's been quite difficult for me because of my work schedule so crazy I haven't really had any time to do it but things are starting to slow down a little bit which is good
@@thebug4046 On asphalt mostly. I think it's due to a bad batch of springs or something from traxxas because post mortems reveal that the springs break and trash the clutch bell too. I am going to be buying a metal clutch kit for it soon. All my other traxxas clutches are what shipped from the factory.
MIP clutch was the way to go back in the day with these.
Absolutely!

Hey the bug what Allen head wrenches do you use

I had a MIP 4n1 with inserts and no springs back in the 90's. Motors were much hotter back then so you needed all the bite you could get.
Last time I've seen one of those clutches was like 2 years ago on ebay for like 160 Canadian lol

@@cousineddie7444 i remember it man. We were like dam that's expensive. Until you look at it now and it's like 8x more 😂

Is hopefully tomorrow or the next day
Hi Bug404 you know the pilot shaft you was on about well the part number for these is kyosho ab14 there on ebay.
Sweetness thanks for the heads up! 🍻
I’ve found the pilot shafts fit alot of different small block engines with the standard cranks.👍🏻
Those clutches look similar to what I use on my glow powered helicopters!

@@Sponge4664 If it can pull a tmaxx with a modified 3.3 it will last in an rc10gt haha
lol!... the intro just knocked down your social credit score by a half point
And I absolutely could care less 🤣
All the info and you get off on that… whew internet must be a rough place for ya russ
What spur/clutch bell combination have you found worked really good for the rc10gt I have a trx pro .15 as well
Same stuff as in the video
yeah I'm also taking a lil break with RC trucks for a lil while. Because of work and other stuff. BUT KBN! ;)

Do you have a the part number for the clutch shoe?
Clutch shoes for a Tmaxx
@@thebug4046 tra4146X?
@@danieldicarlo8676 i believe so. Basically all Traxxas stuff used the same clutch

🏁 I was wondering would it be possible to use a slipper clutch eliminater on that same engine and rc10gt2 chassis (black pan ) for a drag build. 🏁
Probably
After the fact would it still benefit me to still do the upgrade that you did?
@@Greenbear39 if you can get the parts sure
Listen closely....lmfao that was hilarious
My revo keeps burning through clutch shoes... not even a gallon through it. Oof.

I'm running the sh slide version on my megatech .16 no complaints here 👌
Nice!
No spring on this clutch?
Yup it on the clutch just hard to see in the video
Great video bro 👍🏻🍻
Thanks buds!
I have tried this on my Rc10gt black tube and I had to move the motor out 3.5 mm/.125in to get the pinion and spur to line up. Have you had is issue?
Weird. No I haven't had that problem on my blue pans 🤷🏻♂️
Kick A$$ vid. Thank's for Sharing Bug 🍻
Anytime! Thanks for watchin
Hello bug, What is the part number for that flywheel? I need do to this for 2, RC 10s!!
Thank you, JB
Just the factory Traxxas 2.5 3.3 flywheel is all you need
I got one mine back and another one
I missed it I guess but what flywheel did you use? Heard it’s just a traxxas clutch
Traxxas 2.5 flywheel
Appreciate that!!
