This is probably the best fly fishing film I've ever seen. And believe me, I've seen them all. This is some mental shit, gents. Absolutely mad. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully the big Niles are allowed to thrive for generations more.
Looks like a magic spot of almost untouched river. Hard to find nowadays in Africa. Really enjoyed this. I ran into Stuart in Dubai airport last year on his way back from Sudan. You guys get around! Thanks and greetings from NZ!
Thank you, so great to hear this kind of feedback. I've never a caught pike yet, living in South Africa, I'm sure there's an adventure there. Tight lines.
Hi Xavier, I will love to share this pretty cool little documentary film with my FFTC.club - The FlyFisher Traveller Club - community. A beautiful destination to explore an untouched river with monster sized fishes. Keep on going. TL, Alexander
With such a quality cinematic video how does this channel have less than 1K subs????? Great video guys! Hearing a lion roar while fishing would have been the pinnacle for me haha 👊🏻
Gooosies are good. I hope you get to experience this river. It really is a special place. Follow the link to African Waters below the clip. They host amazing trips there.
What a wonderful documentary! As for me.... Hippos, crocodiles, and lions. Nah, I'm good. I'll stick to the US. I would be deathly afraid to get close to that river.

Thank you. Main Camera was a Sony FS7, had a 24-70mm zoom as well as 100=400mm zoom. Also had 24mm prime lens. For the night shots we used the Sony A7s which handled the lowlight shots really well. Mavic Pro drone for all the big wides, and go pro for all underwater shots. Had a rifle mic attached the camera and a radio lapel mic for ll other audio and interviews in the field. Perfect for a one man band. Oh, and a heavy as hell tripod. Didn't use it as much as we wanted to. Strange thing to carry over such long distances.
We really appreciate your support. We were not able to release the film for free as it was running in film festivals at that time, and experimented with the vimeo platform. Not something we would do again. Hope you enjoyed the film otherwise.

Feel like I am the one shaking with adrenalin! Great production on this video. What was the estimated weight of that fish in the end?
what about topwater?
It was good when I paid for the 12mins of content on Vimeo a month ago. Seeing it free now, not so good anymore
