For me Architects are actually the most important band ever. Daybreaker, LF//LT and AOGHAU are 10/10 for me. These albums were so highly influential for the developing of my musical taste, my personality and my political opinions. They also helped me get through many tough times in my life. Therefore, I will always love this band regardless of what they release. But the last two albums didn't resonate with me on the same level. I like some songs, I find some songs okay and I dislike some songs. I am not the target audience for these albums, but that is totally okay. I can respect the band for experimenting and doing something different than before - even if it doesn't satisfy my taste. I will just listen to their old stuff and keep a keen eye on the new releases. In general, I just wish them all the best and all the success they now get. They deserve it.
Yeah I definitely would rank Holy Hell much higher. It was the last Architects album worth listening to honestly. Pretty much agree with everything else.
I'd give this discography a try: S. LF//LT, AOGHAU (both of these are perfect. LF//LT is my pick between the two because, again, more consistent) A. Daybreaker, Holy Hell B. Nightmares, FTTWTE (love Imagine Dragons-Core and almost not sorry about it) C. Ruin Haven't heard The Here and Now and the new one (THAN I will listen to eventually. The new one... I don't think I wanna listen to it. A New Moral Low Ground is a good single. And that's about it. Tear Gas is so bad)
my friend introduced me to Architects 1 day before he took me to see them live back in 2010 with Hallow Crown and it blew me away still love the album and they were great live
I loved all their albums from Nightmares to Holy Hell. The here and now was not well received but to me their simplified their sound and they did it great focusing more on post hc and emo. That was the path they should have follow if they wanted to go on a less heavy direction
Been a massive fan since hollow crown. It's definitely my favourite up there along with LF//LT and AOGHAU as their best. Daybreaker and the here and now just don't reach the top for me but are fantastic. Ruin and Nightmares and a special type of mood albums. I unashamedly admit that if I'm in the mood for something a bit more chilled I thoroughly enjoy Classic symptoms and Holy Hell. FTTWTE is probably my least favourite but I can still put it on and enjoy what I'm listening to.
So after hearing the entire discography a few times (except the newest one. Heard it once and I knew what it has to offer - nothing), limiting each tier to two albums at most: S: LF//LT, AOGHAU A: Daybreaker, Hollow Crown B: The Here and Now, Holy Hell C: Nightmares, FTTWTE D: Ruin F: The Classic Symptoms of a Broken Spirit (burn it)

@@MetalTrenches You've got it backwards, this is the fucking album that bands copy. There's a reason why we call half the djentcore bands out there out for just reusing the "doomsday riff."

I don't necessarily have a problem with Holy Hell at D tier (although I think it's a bit better than that relative to their other albums) but putting The Classic Symptoms of a Broken Spirit above it is a spicy take. For me, Classic Symptoms was up there with Parkway Drive's Darker Still for most disappointing album of 2022.
Holy Hell is my favorite album from them - but as I looked back at your previous videos where you mentioned Ice Nine Kills is an A tier cringe band to you, and Lorna Shore - Pain Remains is overrated, I realized that we are living in a different dimension which somehow interfere :D

@@Nope-gu3ph HH has some of Tom's writing. It was also dedicated to him and serves as the mourning and acceptance of his loss and sounds thematically connected both musically and lyrically. Daybreaker came out before his cancer diagnosis and while you can hear the musical cues that led to the later albums, it doesnt warrant it a place in the trilogy instead of HH.
You just cant rank an album that came out 3 hours ago and have any credibility doing so. You did not gave it time to sink in and understand the intention behind the album.
Not saying this album is better or worse, but seeing you rank holy hell as their worst album you wouldn't have any credibility at all, even if you tried

This is not your average "riffs, bleghs and breakdowns" band that you can just go through bullshit spec recitals and call it a review. The fact that you even felt more emotionally connected to THAN and FTTWTE over HH is absolutely shameful and can hold no basis in any informed argument.
This is just one level removed from a Tool fan copypasta.
The holy trilogy is Daybreaker- LF//LT -AOGHAU. You cannot have an Architects holy trilogy with an album that doesn't have Tom Searle writing it.
Not saying this album is better or worse, but seeing you rank holy hell as their worst album you wouldn't have any credibility at all, even if you tried
lol these are opinions, my dude. Don’t think so highly of yourself. And I’ve had the album a few days.
Okay there Wyatt, you're not fooling anyone with these alt accounts. I'm waiting for my Lion's Daughter records to come in the mail so why don't you get back in your fedex truck and bring them to me?
@@MetalTrenches maybe I was a lil harsh, sure. But listen, Its plain and simple, and im not using my "opinion" here. Holy Hell is a fuking great album in the catalog of Architects, theres no way of putting it as worst album, its just dont make any sense. I could give many objective reasons/facts why Holy Hell is one of, if not their best record. Lol, 7 months later im replying to this
"Architects" 🤮
Так приятно видеть daybreaker в s тире, ты просто описал все мои чувства от этого альбома. Огромное спасибо за это видео
