Masking tape and more masking tape. I tend to start with the lighter paint color all over the upper surface, then mask it off for the darker color. I use the Tamiya thin tape to block out the pattern, then fill in with larger tape.
Any idea if Airfix decided not to include swastikas in any of their Luftwaffe models? There is none in any of them, although historically swastikas were part of Airfix decals sheet.
I hate that they are trying to remove history. We should remember all of history not only the high points of humanity. Societies are only matured and refined if they experience beauty and atrocities. How we respond to evil says more about the goodness in mankind, without it we are more likely to become evil ourselves.
When I started building Airfix kits the late 1950's Airfix did not include swastikas for their Luftwaffe models but did introduce them for a short time during the 1970's. However it didn't last long because they had to fall in line with the rest of Europe. I've always found this rather annoying as after building a Luftwaffe aircraft kit the model doesn't look right without swastikas. To combat this I've bought several decal sheets full of 1/72 swastikas of various sizes which suit whatever Luftwaffe aircraft I'm building.

The old Airfix kits get a lot of hate, but she looks pretty decent. I'm building one of the much more recent Airfix stukas right now.
Great job on this old dog kit. Made her look up to date. Decals and weathering added a lot of character. Bill.

yeah, Europe has a ban on anything that promotes Nazism ... so the Swastika is not in any kits that are manufactured in Europe

I went to my hobby shop and bought a sheet of swastikas in various sizes.

What a pity to put the decals backwards, the big crosses go in the lower part, and you say that you work for airfix ?, they will remove the back!
